Don't Judge This Book by Its Cover!

Story – 4.5/5
Narration- N/A

“The Diaper Man” by Vincent Todarello was surprisingly a lot better than I expected from the book cover… and a lot different, too!

I expected some sort of BizarroSplatterGunk, but got a real story in its place. Just imagine one of those found-films movies shot in an abandoned dump of a building, but with an extra gruesome outcome.

The author gets kudos for his research; this tale takes place on Long Island, NY, and there IS an abandone

This reads like a classic b flick. Rainy night, mental hospital, etc..... You can guess the rest from there..it's pretty straightforward.

This is the kind of story that feels like reading a 80s hrroor movie. Its short, fun, and the title cracks me up

I feel like a treasure hunter who stumbled upon a chest of gold - but, I suppose that's what we are. Readers, always hunting for riches.
The Diaper Man is the first installment in Vincent Todarello's forthcoming collection of short stories inspired by actual events on Long Island. 1. I'm excited to read that whole collection, and 2. How effed up is that?! :) Read this, you'll understand what I mean.
I love a creepy, abandoned asylum, and that is the backdrop of this short. It's done in a good way,

This short story is fast pace and hooks the reader in on the first page. It was well written and the author did not leave out any details. Don't let the title fool you; this story will have you on the edge of your seat. The only flaw is it was too short; I was left wanting more! ;) I will definitely be checking out the author's other stories. Bravo, Mr. Todarello!! ...more

Erm what can i say about this book. I read the other reviews before writing mine just to see what other people thought of it. It is indeed a good book, has some mild sex, gory murders and suspense, all that horror fans need. However, dont like me start resding and think blah blah blah, another abandoned asylum story, escaped inmate, how many more times can they re-write this story, well to my surprise they can and with a good twist. If you can get past the first few pages you wont be disappointe ...more

Mr. Todarello spent his formative years hunting the elusive Yeti in the peaks of the Himalaya Mountains, only to return with a tuft of greyish hair and a few coprolites. He then began to meticulously recreate the experiments of Nikola Tesla in the abandoned warehouses of Redhook, Brooklyn. After passing through a wormhole in spacetime, Mr. Todarello knew how to play the Moonlight Sonata on the obo ...more
