To get right down to brass tacks, this is not something I would normally read. It's kind of out of my "genre" so to say. However, I did find this a rather intriguing read and had to follow it through to the end to find out where everything would lead. Kate is one conflicted individual and with good reason. Some of those reasons are hidden until you get well into the book. At that point you do start wondering what exactly the big secret is that she's hiding, and it's a doozy. But then again, she ...more

In this story, we have Kate who has been going through the past few years with no purpose after losing the love of her life. She meets a movie actor named Chris and he tilts her world upside down. What Kate does not realize is she has tilted his world upside down also. These two build a friendship unlike

Great read! This is a book that can be quickly devoured and loved. I found it to be a bit slow in the first couple of chapters but after that it picked up and I was held captive for the remainder of the story. I felt it easy to connect with the characters and by the end I was left wanting to know so much more about them. Overall I loved this book because there's a little bit of everything going on (heartache, drama, love, laughter, witty banter, you name it and it's there). I hope that there wil ...more

In the process of recovery, Kate meets an arrogant actor, who accidentally falls in love with her. Sadly his publicity forces a dark secret of Kate's into the light and she must determine if she can forgive him.

This was okay, but I thought very unrealistic. This gorgeous, famous, and super rich actor is going to go so hard for Kate, who is gay that he doesn't care and will spend thousands on her and act like she's his girlfriend and fall in love with her. And, Kate was annoying and rude. Sorry,

Here is a review from one of my Amazon readers:

"I am so ready for the next book in the series. Or should I say I hope this is going to be a series. The story was so good that it left me wanting more! I was drawn into this story line that I felt like I was there with Kate and Chris through it all. I loved the story line and felt it was believable! Download this book, you will not be disappointed!"

The story line sounded promising when reading the summary and it proved to be okay. The story centers around a famous actor, named Chris Cody and a lesbian he falls for, named Kate. Right there I knew I would be in for some laughs, and there were a few chuckles here and there. The book builds up to this big secret involving the death of Kate's wife, Kerri. I thought it was going to be something truly scandalous, but it wasn't all that bad and I think everyone who knew Kate overreacted when the

I loved the book; however, I wasn't so sure that I was going to love it in the beginning chapters. Once I realized some of the topics in the book, I was a little hesitant and considered putting it down. I'm not passing judgement on anyone in any way whatsoever, it's just not a topic I would typically spend time reading on. BUT the book was written by a friend of friends so I continued reading and I'm quite glad I did. I loved the storyline and found it very well written. It paints a picture for ...more

The description of this book is not something I would normally read. But this book. I'm so glad I wanted to review it! This book was amazing and I loved it!

I love stories where the hero falls for an unlikely heroine and it is just so interesting to see him so bent out of shape and forced out of his comfort zone by something he didn't expect.

I HOPE there will be a second book coming. I love this book and the characters and definitely want this to be the start of a series.

This is a great story about true love, true friendship and family. Kate lost her wife and then she meets Chris, a movie star, is it romance or is it friendship? Will Kate survive everything she's put through or will this finally be her ending?

Tabitha Dye is a new to me author. She is one I will read again. I look forward to her future works.

I have received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Loved this book so much, I read it twice! I started it right before I had a baby, so I could only read it here and there. After I was settled in to a schedule with her I read it again and couldn't but it down. I couldn't put it down, and had to know what happened next. Although it was a book I wouldn't normal pick for myself, I'm glad I chose it anyway. I love the characters, and I always wanted to know what was coming next!

This isn't my normal type of read but I have to say that I loved it!
I connected with the characters and their love story. It took them bot along time to realise that they loved one another even though they hadn't even kissed, I so wanted Kate to want Chris as more than just a friend and I'm desperate to know what happens next in their relationship!

Tabitha Dye's, the Burden of Trust, is a revelation in the power of love over class, gender, and personal pain. Complex emotions from different social worlds compels the feeling experience of characters. Love has its own agenda and will not be denied by social restraint and customs. Recommended reading.

The story starts out with one of the main characters, Kate, traveling to New York to see her best friend who had moved from Florida to New York. While in New York Kate's best friend takes her to a party and that is where Kate meets the most arrogant actor there is, Chris Cody. Kate, being the girl who takes no crap from anyone, puts Chris in his place a few times through out their "conversation". When Kate decides she'd had enough, she gets her friend and they leave, but not before Chris tries t ...more

This is a new author I have never read and I don't really know how to start with this review... I guess I will start by saying this is a story is about love, loss and moving on.

Our heroine was married to a wonderful woman that she lost. She spent years trying to recover from her wife's death and then she meets c**ky actor Chris, who has his own issues. They become friends and he falls in love with her but she only sees him as a friend.

I know the heroine had a tragic past but she was very self-ab

I absolutely enjoyed reading this book. The storyline flowed pretty well. I don't know if if it was me but I got confused in a few places. But not once did my confusion take away from the storyline.

Chris was a famous actor. He enjoyed the finer things in life. He loved everyone catering to his every need and request. But when he meets Kate, he sees she is a breath of fresh air and isn't like all the other girls. He is smitten by her but realizes

I actually finished this book a day or two ago and I really needed to think about The Burden of Trust’s ending. To me it was neither a cliffhanger nor a definite HEA. Is there more to come? I really liked this book and it is Tabitha Dye’s debut book. What a great start! An added bonus for me was that the story starts in FL my home state.

Kate meets Chris at a function. He is so sure of himself but Kate puts him in his place. Chris then realises that no one has ever spoken to him like that, everyone falls off his every word, they do what he says, they jump however high he wants. While Kate is just trying to get through the day as she still carries so much burden over what happened to her wife Kerrie.

The two do develop a great friendship, on paper they shouldn’t work but in a way, they need each other. Their banner was great but C

This is such a great story, with a fantastic take on love, friendship, and family. I really enjoyed the honesty of the main character's feelings, and although I normally struggle a bit with omniscient narrators, I think it works perfectly for this story, as it really gives the reader an honest view of how people outside the two main characters are really reacting on the inside.

Reading this story was such a great reminder to me that there are so many different kinds of love: love for our friends,

A movie star falls for a lesbian, each with their own interesting story...

Tabitha tells this tale with a young, hip voice that will take you to interesting places that she describes in vivid detail. With that said, I'd have to say that her strength is her ability to paint exceptional scenic imagery. I enjoyed her fantastic attention to small detail. However, at times she ignored attention to the more pertinent details which ultimately left me with questions. I probably like the idea of the story
