Melancholia (Duality #1)by Elle Casey
 Our 4 Star Review

Malcolm has to keep people at arms length because if they get too close bad things happen. It's not some sort of joke just the simple truth, people get depressed around him and if they hang out around him too long it gets really bad. Rae has the same problem just a little different. She makes people happy, physo happy, and they get addicted to her so much so that shes had to move 8 times in just 5 years. Her first day at her new school howe

Another box set review! I didn’t finish the whole set; I have so many books to review. But I did read three stories which is half the set. Here’s what I thought about them.

Duality by Elle Casey

Malcolm seems to attract severely depressed people. He’s not sure why that is, but he knows that’s the case so he does his best to keep others away. Rae has the opposite problem. People are attracted to her for her happiness. They can get obsessed with her, and do so often that her family frequently has to

Duality by Elle Casey - (1 Star) This one just didn't flow very well and at times it was unclear who's point of view I was reading. The main characters were pretty boring and their friends were over the top ridiculous.

Three Wishes by Julii Alexander - (4 Stars) I enjoyed this almost as much as I disliked the first one. I thought Jenny was a great main character with normal thoughts and flaws despite the fact that she's a genie. I liked the world here too, I just wish that a few more things were

Overall I think this is a great price for some good books. I really enjoyed the most of the books - for more info, you can follow the links to individual reviews. Otherwise, for just a star rating, see below.

All pretty much fall in to the YA category though some are a bit edgier than others. Aside from Elle Casey's book, they all also have female leads (Casey's book does have a female lead, but she also has a male one - yay).

Wow. Duality was okay for a teen romance, but it was really at the low end of things I'd be willing to read. I had hoped that Three Wishes, the second book, would be the weak book of the set. Atlantis Riptide, however, was spectacularly awful. It was so bad that I haven't been able to bring myself to start the next book in the bundle. This story is ridiculous, requiring you to put aside an excessive amount of disbelief and following a main character that just makes insane decisions. On top of th ...more

I purchased this set since it had a few books from some authors that I liked, but hadn't read yet. All of these books are either four or five stars, and I left a detailed review of each on the individual pages. I would recommend each and every one of these authors. At the life of 99 cents, these six books are a steal. Definitely worth the purchase.
Not quite done with all 6 books, but this is typical teenage stuff. Some YA stuff appeals to me, but these seem too melodramatic for my tastes. The stories aren't very well developed and have a lot of scenes that feel forced or contrived for convenience.
