This book is why I love Sarah Morgan. Think Sean and Élise could be one of my favourites.

Damn, this book made me hungry. I just want an Elise of my own to cook me all of the delicious food from this book!

I love Snow Crystal. I want to go there so badly. I seriously wish it was real. It just sounds so beautiful, so dramatic, breathtaking. I want to be in a wooden cabin by a lake in the mountains, with a hot tub on the deck. I was to look up into the sky and see the milky-way because it's so dark and peaceful.

This book was really uneven.

Sean was kind of a jackwagon and really hard to get to like. It's not just that he's pretty callus with women, it's also that he's more than a little bit emotionally constipated just in general—and not in the cute tongue-tied way, either. Also, when he decides to get domineering, he goes way past where I'd have been hitting him with blunt objects because blunt words didn't seem to be working. Some of his interactions are almost normal, and we do see some charm from ti
Nov. 2018: I love this series so much! I think I love the first book and couple (Jackson and Kayla) a little more than this one, although I don't dislike Sean and Elise. They just come with more drama. The best thing about this book is the setting. The Vermont forests and trails CALL OUT TO ME. The trees and forests are mentioned throughout the story, and I love that. Unlike the first and third books, this one is set during the summer, which is fun. I love the O'Neil family and I'll keep rereadi ...more
Loved it! No wonder Sarah Morgan is one of my favorite romance authors. I wish I was one of her heroines - and not only because her heroes are to-die-for. ;)

Note: I received this eARC from Harlequin via NetGalley. That had no influence on my review/rating.

This book wasn't quite as good as the first in the series, but I still enjoyed it. I think what bothered me was throughout most of the book both characters constantly spout that they are 100% against relationships and falling in love and after a while it was like, okay, enough, we get don't ever want to fall in love, blah, blah, blah.

Other than that, I liked Sean and Elise very much and was entertained by the other characters. It was nice revisiting with this

Suddenly last summer is the second book in super talented author Sarah Morgan's The O'Neil Brothers Series, and this time around we finally get the low down on sinfully sexy surgeon Sean O'Neil.

He lives for his job and nothing and no one interferes, and most importantly he never let's a woman interfere with his work.

Except when news of his grandfather collapsing comes he rushes back home to Snow Crystal, to be there for his family, even knowing they most likely don't want his there. Whist ther
A perfect summer read!

How could I ask for more? I kept picturing Dr. McDreamy and Dr. McSteamy when I thought of Dr. Sean O'Neil, orthopedic surgeon and resident heart breaker. Sean is not good at relationships. His job is way more important than anything else in his life. And he likes it that way. Until he meets Elise Bonnet, the charming French cook who works at his family's lodge in Vermont. Elise doesn't do relationships either, but she is attracted to Sean. The feeling is mutual, however th
Tyler works as a surgeon and he's really good at his job proving even in snow crystal how good. I'd want him as my doctor. He's so calm and confident with little Sam. It's really no wonder Elisa falls in love with him. She has demons of her own mainly regarding her time in Paris. Between Jackson and Sean they really did save her. All three Oniel brother are quite different but are all so likeable in their own way. Can't wait to read Tyler's story.

I read book one of this series almost three years ago. I remember enjoying it but not loving it, and somehow finishing up the series fell way down my TBR. But as I close out 2018, I can't seem to get enough of Sarah Morgan, and knowing book three was a Christmas book, I decided to head back to Snow Crystal and the O'Neil brothers. This book ended up taking me completely by surprise. Yes, it was fun and full of banter (often within the O'Neil family), but there was a ton of hidden depth. I often ...more

Coffee dates with Suddenly Last Summer

First date: Sean O’ Neil is an orthopedic surgeon and a dang good one. Athletes fly in from all over the world to seek his opinion and skilled hands. Sean is a workaholic and dedicated to his life’s passion. He rarely makes time for life outside of the hospital and trips to his family’s lodge. In part to an argument with a family member. Elise Philippe has found a home at the Snow Crystal resort, far from the painful memories of Paris. Last summer she and

Love Sarah Morgan's writing! This is the second full length novel in the O'Neil brothers series - and it's HOT!

Fiesty French chef, Elise, has to face the fact that Sean O'Neil, of the seriously HOT O'Neil brothers is back on Snow Crystal Mountain Resort. Their brief but electrifying liaison last summer is still fresh in her mind but she knows that Sean only came for his grandfather and will have to leave again and resume his career as one of the best sport surgeons.

This second installment was fabulous and I devoured in just one morning while cuddled under a blanket. It had the perfect mixture of angst and banter. I have come to really adore this family and setting. It has been the perfect series to read over the holidays.
Why did I wait so long to try one of Sarah Morgan's books? WHY?!?! I'm so angry with myself since this habit of not trying out some wonderful authors sooner is starting to become a pattern. Thankfully though, it's summer and I can't wait to try out her other Harlequin titles because hey, I have the time.

I just loved this book to bits. It had everything I look for in a contemporary romance. There was a hunky surgeon, a spunky leading lady and a perfect setting. Plus as you can guess by the title,

I enjoyed this book of Sarah Morgan's it took me a short while to get into it but once I did it was really good. The characters are good and the plot to the story is good to. Shows you have to learn to love yourself so you can love others. Full of families and romance to and has a real sparkle to the read to.
Elise is a chef and she really wants to make the most of the summer with the opening her French cafe and she can't wait she's got close to the family she lives with and works with but one b
3.5 stars This was surprising. The guy was eh at times, but I really liked seeing his relationship with his grandpa improve. I also liked Elise as the protagonist - her background broke my heart, but it was amazing how strong and appreciative she became from it. I respected that.

The book got better as it progressed. Besides the sad things about the grandpa and Elise's story, I found reading this rather comforting - especially with all the descriptions of the Snow Crystal Resort.

Firstly a massive thank you to Cara at Harlequin for sending me a copy of this to review. It’s been on my TBR for quite a while but I’ve finally gotten round to it and it was totally worth the wait! I had only read a short story of Sarah’s before I read this and I really enjoyed that little bit that I’d read so I was looking forward to a full novel!

This is the second book in the Snow Crystal series although I have it on good authority that each book can be read as a standalone novel. So I starte

Suddenly Last Summer (snow crystal trilogy Book -2) follows on from Sleigh Bells in the Snow. The 2 main characters are Sean (Jackson's twin brother) an Orthopaedic Surgeon who is a sexy handsome, yet commitment phobe sex god & Élise, a very fiery beautiful French chef at the family home run business, Snow Crystal Resort. This is set in the beautiful Vermont Mountain, perfect for summer holidays and a ski resort in the winter.

I adored Sleigh Bells In The Snow, so I was really eager to read the next book in the O'Neil trilogy. This is Sean and Elise's story.

Elise was so spunky and outspoken in the first book, and she is still that way here, but for some reason, I didn't like her as much in her own story as I did in Jackson and Kayla's. Go figure. I think it was because she was so damaged by her past relationship that it made things hard for her to move on, when love was knocking at her door.

Sean on the other hand is a

This story required the copious use of tissues. If you are allergic to same, do not read! Otherwise, go ahead.

French chef Elise Philippe loves the entire O'Neil clan, owners of the Snow Crystal Resort in Vermont, where she works. Well, almost all of them. She draws the line at Sean, orthopedic surgeon, who deserted the rest of the family after the death of his father, which he blames on his grandfather. However, when Gramps collapses, Sean comes back home, guilt-ridden. When he sees Elise, he is

Having previously read Sleigh Bells in the Snow, I was more than a little eager to re-revist the O’Neil family.

The book starts on a shocking note and you’re left wondering how this turn of events is going to affect the characters and the rest of the book. Focusing the story on Sean and Élise, we are aware that the pair shared a steamy night together the previous summer, and they’re clearly not done with each other. With recent developments at Snow Crystal forcing Sean to be at the resort a lot m

really enjoyed this book, although not quite as much as the other two in the trilogy. So glad I came across this trilogy though, even though I don't usually read romance, as I'm more a chicklit kind of girl. It had plenty of detail about the characters' lives without being solely about the romance, which added to the enjoyment for me. I had only read one Sarah Morgan book before this trilogy, Angels in the Snow, and I am so glad I revisited this author. I've already downloaded another book by th ...more
This was 3 stars, then 5 stars! Then back to 3 stars!

So yeah. This one was a bit of a slow starter for me, but then I got really into it. It lost me at the end because it jumped too fast to the "they're in love!" place. There was a lot else going on in this besides the love story, which I liked, but it did mean that I didn't get enough sense of them as a couple. I do think they were well-suited and probably on their way to being in love, just not there yet.

But ohhhh, am I looking forward to the

I'm a bit sad that after the excellent first book, this one disappointed me a bit. I just couldn't really connect to this on an emotional level, neither to the storyline nor to the two main characters. I mean,I liked Elise in the first book but maybe that was because she was just a side character while the focus on her now made her slightly unlikeable sometimes.
I liked reading more about the O'Neill family though, that was the best part of this book actually :)

it was really good. I loved Elise, the French cook, who had a sad story. ANd I loved Sean. He's a good doctor and even if he doesn't know, he's ready for love.

I liked this second installment very much. I love those family stories.

Six months on from the first novel, 'Sleigh Bells in the Snow', we return to Snow Crystal Resort, this time focusing on the forever-absent surgeon, Sean. Following the same format as her previous novel, Morgan provides readers with an entertaining love story that sets the heart racing and the pulse quickening!

Yes, it's true, this does have its naughty, flirtatious moments, and just like the first, it is a little romantic, cheesy novel. But that's not to say that you can't ever indulge yourself a

Favorite Quote: Today I chopped liver that has more brain than you.

I’m a big fan of Sarah Morgan, but for some reason I never picked up the first book in this series, Sleigh Bells in the Snow. May adored it last year, so when this book came around, I grabbed it and I have to say, it’s one of the best contemporaries I’ve read this year. It was just perfect for my mood – it has a stressed out hero, an energetic and passionate heroine, a family that has very funny banter and sex in a forest. It’s a
