Whatever happened to the saying, "Love means never having to say you're sorry"? You won't find it or the meaning anywhere near these characters. Each page is filled with one apology after another. Luke and Tessa continue to swear eternal love for one another but it seems that neither ever does anything to please the other one -- well, except their off-the-chart sexual escapades that seem to be the mainstay in their relationship -- and if she isn't saying, "I'm sorry" th

Can you say doormat?

This is supposed to be a young adult book so let me tell you girls, this is not how you're
Supposed to be treated! This author romanticize cheating and near abuse! The teenagers this book are more like porno stars and I can assure you young "love" is nothing like this! The book is so poorly edited it's hard to follow the story! I read the first two and will not be finishing the series!
Dear lord MJ's books suck me in like no other I can't put this book down I don't want to give anything away but I know I'm in total AW of this book so much. This one took me on a emotional roller coastal So many feeling after reading this book, I really started to love Lucas so much for being as f" up as he is but after finishing this incredible book I've come to the conclusion that Lucas Does Not Deserve Tessa!!!!!! I need Collin now please MJ my heart can't take anymore.

I was on Amazon everyday waiting for this book....the day it came available yesterday I had it on my kindle and read it in 24 hours..... Come on this book made me cry so many times, wow this was a up and down ride. I have to say that I was really torn on my feelings for Lucas I was really wanting to see Tessa with Ben. Lucas just could not get it together, I really thought there was going to be a HEA. I thought he could be a strong man, but again he is young. Jenny (Wow hated that girl), I read ...more

OMG.......I haven't been on an emotional roller coaster like the one I experienced reading New Love in a very long time if ever. I cried so hard with the things these characters went through and then laughed and experienced their joy. MJ Fields has created a storyline that feels so real you have to stop and make sure this is not happening to you. Tessa and Lucas go through so much as young loves. I wanted to shake Lucas and ask him what his problem was and in turn do the same with Tessa. The pai ...more

So, I am totally hooked on the story, even though it does have some problems...for instance at some points things have occurred already but then later on in the story they have not, and the spelling, missing words and grammar need a bit of work...BUT the characters and the story are fun, hooking and one that I can't stop reading. I wish that this series was re-edited so that I could give it all of the praise that it deserves, but alas, these things matter to me and I can't not let other readers ...more

Still get all the feels and butterflies as with the first book in the series. Despite whet they all go through and put each other through, I’m rooting for Lucas and Tessa. I love Jade and Ryan and Alex and Phoebe. Ben is a dream and reminds me of a childhood friend I was always close too, love, still love but not that way. I think once we both wanted to try to be each other’s everything but we were always better as friends and more like brother and sister...protective of each other but still a l ...more

Good book

Grammar errors in this book as well as the first, just not as many however enough that its a distraction. Tessa takes more crap from Lucas than any 18/19 yr old I've ever known lol but I guess everyone's different. Over all not a bad read

I had to mentally brace myself for this bookie because the first one hit me HARD, and it wasn't just the cliffhanger. As we all know Lucas and Tessa's relationship was kinda non-existent by the end of book 1 now it's kind of existent and well not going the way either of them planned, "nope, look last night was fun, I know you're leaving and I know you're going to have a baby, but for just a few minutes," she stopped took a deep breath and swallowed, "I forgot, so my mistake, I'm sorry. This is the second in the Love Series. Funny how Ms Fields uses the word love, cause that is not the word I would use. I would say this is second in a Drama Filled Bitches Everywhere Series. Doesn't have as catchy a sound does it. But it is more truthful.

We met Tessa and Lucas in the first book. They were star crossed high school loves that just needed to mature to be able to appreciate each other. Time passed, but maturity does not really happen.

Lucas is in a turmoil with his ex

I swear I want Tessa to do the scene from Moonstruck where Loretta (Cher's character) slaps Ronny (Nicholas Cage's character) and yells snap out of it. I'm not sure how many times Lucas has to hurt her before she gets a clue. I know this relationship is new and has nothing to go on since she has never had a relationship. I realize she is trying to figure it out and is doing the best she can. It is hard when it's the first love, she needs realize she deserves so much better than Lucas. Lucas is t ...more

This book was a crazy roller coaster of emotions between Tessa and Lucas. Oh. Em. Gee. Lucas acted like a jerk most of the book, with his push and pull. We also have a lot of drama. Exes become an issue. New love interests come in play. We also get to their the lives of their friends evolve and develop alongside of Lucas and Tessa.

Tessa has also become more and more of a pushover for Lucas. She wants to help him and be his friend but I hate to bust her bubble... not gonna happen. Lucas i

I feel like a heavy weight is setting on my chest. Poor Tessa. I am loving this series so much. I really can't understand Lucas. He has the love of his life in front of him but yet he can't seam to keep it in his pants. I mean come on! How many chances does he expect Tessa to give him. I wouldn't have taken him back after the Sadi in the hot tub incident. And then to have to deal with all his ex's I would have just given him up and said ba-bye. I have to get to the next

In this second instalment, I was hoping Tessa and Lucas would solidify their relationship but seemed to vacillate back and forth with fighting with each other, than making up, than fighting, etc. you get the picture. These two are so immature and clearly not ready for a grown-up relationship. There were parts in this sequel where I wanted to delve into my kindle and knock them both upside the head. Maybe, just maybe, I am too old for this teenage angst. However, that being said, I seem to have a ...more

More yo yo drama but feeling invested

Another 3 and 1/2 stars....after reading True Love I at least knew what to expect in terms of writing style from Fields' first series and of the back and forth headache from Lucas and Tessa. I did enjoy reading this even though I feel like it was a yo-yo aggravation in their actions. I wanted to scream at both characters at times, especially Lucas. I feel invested in them now as we have seen them through a lot in the last year of their story.

Recommends it for: All the girls!
I love this series! I know this is par for the course of my reviews...BUT I wouldn't be writing a review if it sucked!
This is a love story of two adolescents thru to adulthood. Many trials for these two, so much heartache for them and their group of friends.
I've read all of these books in the series and the same goes for all, the editing sucked! But the storyline is awesome! You wont believe how it all ends!

Can you tell your heart to stop loving someone? Even if your head is telling you this love is not good for you and you are heading for a train wreck? Tessa's impact on the people around her is a very positive one. She is a good person and unfortunately, people can take advantage of that. One in particular is Lucas. I could not put this book down. Although I felt like strangling Lucas and hitting Tessa in the head trying to get her to see what was happening.

Wow, what a story! I think this book had me looking at Lucas in a different way. I seemed to like him more and more. Grant it he did do some stupid stuff that had me shaking my head and asking the question, why? I saw a true deep love that he and Tessa had for one another. I could picture them in my head as I was reading this.

You could feel the pain that this group of friends had go through. I was happy for Jade and Ryan. I hope everyone else works out and get there happy ever after.

MJ has an amazing talent with words. This book had my emotions all over. I cried so many times, I could not put this book down. Lucas is well Lucas I said it before and I will say it again you love to hate him. The way Tessa puts everyone else before her is crazy, she does not care that she gets hurt as long as everyone is OK. Can't keep saying enough I love this series!!

Hot and steamy!! I loved the building of all the relationships in this book. I think it was tastefully done and the scenes were great! I loved the craziness of the girls and doe camp! It was fun to read about all the different interaction that they had with each other and you can believe what was happening. Looking forward to the next book!

After the ending of book 1 Blue Love, I knew I had to continue this journey with Tessa and Lucas. I still want to strangle this guy for being the way he is and even Tessa for always forgiving and continuing. It is painful to read some of the things that happen but I couldn't stop myself. They love each other so much but hurt so much it is rough. I really hated Lucas at the end of this book.

Again, I really love this story but the writing is awful!!! I am trying to get past it to enjoy the story but it's hard to! Not only the writing but the errors too! The editing is horrible! This book would be amazing if not for the writing and editing! I really love all the characters and can't wait to see how it ends!!!

What can I say, I love this series! Although sometimes I'm confused as to what they get mad at each other all the time for and re-read to figure out if I'm missing something. (Not the cheating stuff, the little stuff). So much tragedy! I can't waif for the next two books. I'll have to re-read something while I wait.

Again I can not say enough about how much I love this series and this author, the love that Lucas and Tessa have and the struggles they went through and showing the disregard Lucas showed her and how she continually took him back spoke volumes on what some relationships go through and how much we are willing to overlook in the name of love going to finish this series yet again.

I enjoy lots of books, but I couldn't get into this series like I hoped I would. The editing is awful- there are so many errors. And, I realize that it's YA, but they are so immature. I'm sorry, I really tried, but I can't finish the series.

Lucas' birthday should be changed to somewhere after Mid June... He HAS to be a Gemini... That or just plain schizo... Congrats to MJ Fields for evoking the emotions felt when travelling on this roller-coaster of a journey
