Sigh. I think it's official, I'm in no condition to really appreciate anything I am reading right now.. Especially after Ruick and Melanthe. Maybe I shouldn't write reviews in this state, but here I am.

I got a free copy of this book via Instafreebie and it's not influencing my rating.

The premises were too good to resist: a family feud, a couple from opposite sides, cowboy, horses. Who could resist, right? Well, I'm not angry at the story, I

4 "Family Feuds and Their Star Crossed Lovers" Stars for the story and narration.

Destined for Love is perfect for lovers of the forbidden love trope, particularly Romeo & Juliet styled romances. Whether you have already fallen in love with the Bradens, are a fan of Western romances, or are just looking for a sweet, feel-good romance, Destined for Love is likely to appeal to a large audience of romance lovers. Moreover, BJ Harrison's smooth, tranquil voice makes this a good audiobook format

Destined For Love is super sweet, super hot small town country romance. The forbidden aspect was a feud between two families that had gone on way too long and needed a bit of shaking up.
Jade Johnson and Rex Braden know they shouldn’t be attracted to each other. But when the attraction is just too strong to resist, it might be the only thing that will force them to reevaluate the long standing field between their families.
Both Jade and Rex gave in way too much to what their fathers thought it

Unlike Treat who built his empire, Rex opted to stay at the ranch and worked day and night helping his father. He was not the one to flaunt his affairs, he was afraid to cause his father distress. Rex Braden doesn't know what started the feud between his family and the Johnsons, but he knows better than to pursue Earl Johnson's daughter Jade. Problem is that she's the only woman who's ever caught his eye and held it, and while she may be off limits, she's still everything he's ever wanted.

It seems like chance keeps bringing them together, but when they both start falling, that chance begins to look a whole lot more like destiny. But with decades of bad blood, stubborn parents, and

Two star crossed lovers kept apart by a family feud are the central characters in Melissa Foster’s Destined for Love, the second book in her contemporary romance series, The Bradens. Well developed characters, good dialogue and just the right amount of spicy romance kept me turning the pages to discover what would happen next. While a part of a series, this book can be enjoyed

A long standing family feud is keeping Rex Braden and Jade Johnson from the happy ending they both deserve and want. Rex’s dad and Jade’s dad grew up as best friends and continued that friendship into adult life. Then one day it all fell apart and they no longer would even acknowledge each other. The rules were set to the kids of the Johnson and Braden families to not have ANY contact with the other family. But love comes flying above the feud. Rex and Jade have circled around each other since ...more

I've heard so much about Melissa Foster. It seemed like everywhere I turned, someone was reviewing one of her books. So when I had the opportunity to read one, I jumped on board. Destined For Love is part of The Bradens' series.

It is a stand alone novel, but it will have you craving the other...erm 9 books in the series. I did it again, I haven't read any of the other books, but it didn't really affect how I felt about this one.

The story has a bit of the Romeo and Juliet premise, of a family

Thanks to Melissa Foster and Tasty Book Tours for the opportunity to continue to read this great series. I have been hooked since the very first story, Sisters in Love. With each book, I fall more in love with the characters.

Rex, oh sexy, stubborn, Alpha male cowboy Rex. We met Rex in Lovers at Heart, since he is Treat's brother.

Jade, is the daughter of Earl Johnson, who has had an ongoing conflict with Hal Braden, the father of the Braden's.

I think this is my favorite of the Braden Brothers! Rex is always the broody one and always the one that was standoffish - but in Destined for Love we find out where a lot of that broodiness comes from.

We got to see the soft side of Rex and the fun and sexy side of him too. HOLY HOTNESS!!!

Jade is spunky and speaks her mind and has secretly been in love with Rex forever too. These two together were combustible. So so good.

The thing I LOVE about Melissa Foster books is that she hooks you with

Destined For Love is contemporary romance and part of the Braden's series.

This is the story of rancher Rex Braden and his mutual feelings for Jade Johnson. However, Jade is the daughter of the Braden's neighbour. With a long standing family feud lying between any happiness that Rex and Jade might hope to have as a couple, can they ever bring the families back together?

Set in Weston, Colorado this book feels like a modern western romance.
Took me a while to finish this book. It was okay. Rex and Jade were a nice couple. I didn't connect with Jade very well. Her character seemed kind of loose. I don't know how to describe it, really.

Then the family feud thing kept them somewhat apart.

Then Daddy Braden is always talking to his dead wife and his dead wife's horse... and all that together was getting pretty kooky.

I'm not enamored with this series. I may continue.

2.5 stars.

Couldn't put this book down. I was rooting for Rex and Jade since the beginning. They were just something about them that you instantly loved. Such a great book. Can't wait to read about Riley and Josh's story next.

I thought this book was quite adorable from beginning to end. I am a sucker for these types of stories, and practically all the characters were so damn charming it was nearly impossible to not fall in love with every and every one of them. (which has me eager for the series).

Destined for Love by Melissa Foster is the 5th book in her Love in Bloom series. When I started this series with the Snow Sisters, I thought this was going to be a good series. I was wrong, it is a GREAT series, as each book keeps getting better and better. I had just finished reading a few paranormal or historical books, and wanted something light and fast to enjoy. WOW…I read Destined for Love in one sitting.

When I read the last book, Lovers at Heart, I thought it was wonderful, not to

Destined for Loveis part of a 9 book series by Melissa Foster called 'Love in Bloom'. My first Melissa Foster novel was Where Petals Fall, a psychological mystery, which I recently reviewed and thoroughly enjoyed. I was excited to read Destined for Love, as I was keen to see how Melissa's writing tackled the Romance genre in comparison to mystery, and I can honestly say it didn't disappoint.

Destined for Love, although being part of a series, can be read as a stand alone novel. However, Melissa

HOO WEE! Melissa Foster has done it again. You’ll want to keep a spray bottle filled with cold water beside you while you read this so you can sort of hose yourself down. Destined For Love by Melissa Foster is another hot, steamy romance that will leave you wishing for your own cowboy to snuggle up to at night.

Rex and Jade definitely have passion. Both in their work, for each other and when it comes to family ties. I really liked the story line for Destined For Love. I like that Jade and Rex

I've been enjoying Foster's Love In Bloom series of contemporary romances, though it's a challenge keeping up with them! Book 2 of The Bradens is a departure from the previous books. Sure, there's a gorgeous heroine and a virile, take-charge hero. But Rex Braden and Jade Johnson, while they get off to a rocky start, know they're meant to be pretty much from the beginning. The complication has to do with the decades-long conflict between their rancher fathers. This is great because there's none ...more

After reading the blurb I had the feeling this book would be another Hatfield-McCoy families. They hate each other and the kids marry just try and end the feud. Yes, it is partly that but so much

Well before Rex was born, the Braden and Johnson families have had a long standing feud that has been coined the modern day Hatfield and McCoys. But when Rex spies Jade Johnson in need of rescuing, he doesn’t hesitate to come to her aid. Knowing that both of their fathers would not approve of their communicating they kept this encounter under their hats. And, despite the cold interaction between the two, neither one could deny the desire they secretly feel towards the other.

I was introduced to Rex Braden in the previous book Lovers at Heart, Rex has helped his dad working on the family ranch since leaving school, he's loyal, honorable, strong, a family guy and obviously rather handsome. The problem is that the girl he is in love with, Jade, the very girl he has loved since school, is a 'Johnson' and is strictly off limits. The Johnson's and the Braden's are the centre of one massive family feud after both fathers fell out over a land dispute years ago, the very ...more

I nearly didn't read this book, a series seems to always flop after a few books, but this one sure did not! No, it certainly didn't. I fell in love with all the characters and held my breath between page turns just waiting for what else would come. Foster has truly made me a top fan, the words were flying off the pages and I finished this book within two days.

Destined for Love begins on the Branden Ranch which just happens to be a rival ranch owned by the Johnson family. You will meet Jade

I love Melissa Foster’s books because there fun loving novels of family, loyalty, and passionate love. This book can be a stand-alone novel, but I suggest reading this series from the beginning, starting with Sisters in Love.

Loyalty, hardworking and extremely sexy, Rex Braden works on his family’s ranch and happy to do it. He’s had his fair share of women when he wants them no commitment, no hassles. That is until he finds Jade Johnson walking her hurt horse. Rex has always had feelings for his

Since starting on this series, each book never failed to tug my emotions, make me laugh, make me smile and make me swoon. I love the Braden's and love how they come together in support despite their differences. I love the family values that were instilled in them. All that makes Rex just even sweeter than he already is. This book tugged more on the emotions because of the Braden/Johnson family feud. I got this for free from a recommendation and though it's a clear case of Romeo and Juliet, with Rex and Jade being star-crossed lovers and all that, I loved it.

I read the first book in the series to be familiar with the characters (Bradens) because I love family-oriented stories, or series that focus on a family, like one of them find true love and spend his/her life with that person. In a way it reminded me of Bella Andre's Sullivans because of the theme.

I liked the way the story was told.

Sometimes Jade gets caught saying the darnest of things when she doesn't think Rex or anyone else is listening, "Jade's voice carried around the bend. "You're such a beautiful boy. You know I'd do anything for you, even get a ride with that obnoxious hunk of a man." And lord help Rex the girl has a temper, "Rex Braden, what is wrong with you? Forbidden love is a subject that keeps us cheering on the sidelines, going on and on about the unfairness of the whole situation. For me it was actually kind of fun to watch the men butt their heads for some unknown reason and make the lives of their families that much complicated and conflicted. Fortunately Rex and Jade knew just what to do to make their wish happen.
