After the Rain by Karen-Anne Stewart (Rain Trilogy #3)

This is a beta read I was given in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is not your average, every day, fairytale romance. The Rain Trilogy contains material that at times is hard to read. Reality check people, there is evil in this world. All the rainbows, sunshine, sparkle covered unicorns, ignorance and pretending in the world, won't make it go away.

Book 1Saving Rain

Book 2Healing Rain

When I got my hands on this book (thanks Karen-Anne) I didnt hesitate to start it straight away, to be drawn back into the world that belonged to Raina and Kas, I was straight back into the story at the first page...... After The Rain throws you right back where Healing Rain left off (remember the cliffhanger? Yep I do too lol).

Judge to Kas - you didn't only save her life, you saved her heart and her spirit.

Raina and Kas' love for each other is so strong, if not stronger now with all they have

I have been on this journey with Kas and Raina from bk1 and I just had to see where this was going to go. (Thanks Karen-Anne)

The book starts off exactly where it ended in bk2 and I loved that. Raina annoyed me a bit in this book cause she kept on just doing things that she knows she shouldn't be doing, fine I know she does it because that's just the person she is putting others first and seeing to their well being without a thought for her own. And that is where Kas comes in. He as usual will do

Kas and Raina's story is over!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I could read about them forever and not get sick of their gooey sappy sweet perfect love. Kas totally dominated in this book! He was a total bad a**! I loved his fierce, over the top protection of Raina. The love he showed her was exactly the kind of love that I NEED to read about. Raina was awesome as usual, her ability to bounce back is amazing!! She is one stubborn tough cookie! It's so nice to see a female lead that moves forward instead of ...more

After The Rain

***I received a copy of After the Rain in exchange for an honest review.***

I give After the Rain 4 stars.

I must begin by saying that I patiently (NOT!) waited for the final installment of the Saving Rain Trilogy. I counted down the days until I could get my hands on a copy of AtR. I specifically remember going through this weird funk right before receiving my ARC. Nothing I read satisfied my reading hunger. Until the wonderful and awesome Karen-Ann Stewart sent me a copy. Thank you

The perfect ending for one of the most stunning series I have ever read. Full review to follow

This series holds a special place in my heart, which is why it has taken me so long to write my review for ‘After the Rain’, the last book in the Rain Series. In some ways I didn’t want to let go of the story and kept holding on to it unable to put into words how much this story spoke to me.7
Kas and Raina’s story was one that has really made a change to my life and the way I view the world. Having

Determined to give Kas everything she's got, Raina allows herself to feel a peace she never thought she'd feel. Her past is finally behind her, and she can now breathe a tad easier. The thought of not having to look over her shoulder is something she's truly looking forward to. Her husband has been there for her every step of the way, and she's grateful for the love and support he's given her. Granted, things between them are still rocky, but they've done their best to overcome the chaos that's ...more

This was such a great ending to the Rain trilogy. In the beginning of the series (Saving Rain), Raina is a bit more reserved, understandably, but by the end she had changed so much. Not her personality; she was still the sweet, kind, and caring woman as before, but her outlook on life. I loved that we were able to watch her grow as a person – stronger and more confident in herself – as well as watch her and Kas's relationship develop over the pages. Through the whole series, Kas had been dealing ...more

This is the final book of the Rain trilogy and we finally get an actual ending, no more cliffhangers! I think by far this is the best book of the trilogy.

The storyline in this book is not so much about the romance but about Kas and Raina’s job and trying to put away the “ghost”. The “angst” surrounding our characters was almost gone, we really got to see Raina grow and become more confident in herself and her relationship with Kas.

i received ARC for my honest review i have to say that i really enjoyed this book. it was so adventurous and funny Kas and Raina finally tie the knot and just when you think they will get there happy ever after. the excitement begins the team is really getting closer to ghost which would be the end to the child trafficking. but every step closer is one step closer to evil. can Raina and Kas make this time? will Raina be able to handle the stress and hold on to the love that Kas is giving to make ...more

This was my favorite book of the trilogy. It surprised me, because usually when I read a trilogy, I am bored by the last book; not in this case. I loved that this author saved the best for last! It was a build up and very well done.

Raina and Kas are amazing together! They have a love like no other, risking whatever it takes to save the lives of young girls being sold in human trafficking, and also for each other. I love how Raina overcomes her abusive childhood to allow love into her life.

Seriously? The third time is the charm and then some! I keep hearing Demons by Imagine Dragons while reading this final novel in the trilogy.

Karen-Anne has such a soft touch with her writing that just draws you in and nurtures you. Her voice is very distinctive, I cannot wait to read more novels from this author. Loved it!

Simply Brilliant. Out of all three of the Rain Trilogy Books, After the Rain is by far my favorite.

It was filled with suspense, twists and turns, it kept me guessing at what was going on and not to mention it was also the hottest book of the series. It did get a little bit confusing at times with all the characters but every character was needed in the story to make it what it was.

The story starts out right where Healing Rain ended and let me tell you… it completely drew me in. I

Let me start this review by saying that this series is so freakin' amazing! Anyone who does not read this is surely missing out on something awesome! Karen-Anne Stewart is going to go far if her work continues to be this great! When I read Saving Rain, book one in The Rain Trilogy, I was worried about the rest of the series because surely Stewart couldn't beat the emotion, and context that was in it! Boy, was I wrong! While I also loved book two, Healing Rain, After the Rain blows everything ...more

And we come to the last book of the trilogy .
In the two previous books we lived all the emotions that permeated the life of Raina - Rain. In Book # 1 we knew her story, her struggle to defeat the monster of aggression received by her own father and boyfriend. Until she meets Kas, with his protective way - besides his work itself - and feelings take a different tack.

In book # 2 Kas decides to fight for Rain and they live a love of freedom , in which every day Rain re-learn to trust the people

I received a copy of After the Rain, the third book in The Rain Trilogy in exchange for my review.

The search for Ghost has heated up, with Raina's computer skills putting her fully on the map. Having discovered that Ghost is Evan Parker, the only thing left to do is to have evidence that proves it, a game that becomes more and more dangerous for the unwilling players of the FBI. But Kas' protectiveness is a source of contention for

After the last cliff-hanger of the 2nd book, once again I jumped into starting this one. FYI this series is so great, that I read all 3 books in just 3 days. Not a smart thing to do when you are in the last month of Nursing school, but it was just so worth it. Chris, Raina's ex boyfriend has just been paroled from jail, and is back to get Raina with a vengeance. He is not happy with the fact that Raina has moved on with Kas, and if he can't have her, than no one can. Luckily Kas is able to find ...more

First of all, I would like to thank Karen-Anne Stewart for writing a series that in a small way brings to light the horrific reality of human trafficking. I am also a huge supporter of foundations such as The Polaris Project and the Somaly Mam Foundation etc... Even though this is a work of fiction, the scenes dealing with the trafficked girls were very close to some of the survivor stories that I have read personally. The author did her homework and also found a very delicate way of ...more

If you are reading this on my blog, it might be a bit repetitive because I am starting each review with the same first paragraph and ending with the same last one because it covers all 3 books.

I read the entire trilogy back to back to back. I could not put it down. I literally started one and kept going until it was done, then started another and kept going until I had to force myself to put it down at 3 AM, and then started the last one as soon as it was over. This is an absolutely amazing

I absolutely love this trilogy. I wasn't really sure what to expect when I started reading Saving Rain, the first book in the series, but from the very first chapter I was hooked. I immediately fell in love with Raina and Kas. Karen-Anne really invested in her characters and they feel very real. They're not just ideas of people, who happen to play the main part in a story. By the time you've finished the trilogy, you feel like you've known them for years.

An explosive ending to a thrilling suspenseful trilogy!

After The Rain concluding the trilogy beautiful and it's not just a page turner, it's a "can't put this down for one second" type book. I can guarantee that as soon as you start Saving Rain, you may as well have Healing Rain and After the Rain already loaded and ready to read because there is no way you will be able to wait to continue reading where the first 2 books leave off. This is an emotional heartfelt roller coaster that I couldn’t get off, even if I had wanted to.

The sick and twisted game that Ghost has begun playing is still continuing. Ghost has made Raina both a pawn and the target in this twisted game. There is also a new player; Jefferson; who has ordered Ghost to put an end to his game and to Raina!

This is the third book in the Rain series. I couldn't put down this book just like the previous ones. This series deals with some very serious subject matter, human trafficking and abuse, in a very sensitive matter. I never felt that the books sensationalized any of the abuse or the human trafficking. It was portrayed in such a manor that kept true to the story and the characters. Amazingly well written story, well developed characters, and a

After the Rain is the 3rd and final book in the Rain Trilogy by Karen-Anne Stewart.

First let me say that if you haven't read Saving Rain and Healing Rain yet, please stop here and go read those first and then come back - you will definitely want and need to read the trilogy from the beginning to get the full impact of the story!

And an impact is what you'll get from After The Rain!!! From chapter one right to the end, it's just non-stopping excitement as Kas and Rain and the rest of the team

I can't believe that the series is over. I loved the different characters and the interaction amongst them. I guess with being in such precarious situations these teams of FBI agents have become a tight knit group/family who protect their team members.

Kas is such an amazing person. He is the strong, tough, domineering and well respected boss. His team he trusts explicitly with his life and the life of his wife Raina.

The men and Raina have really connected and have a tight bond with her for all

Another fast pace in the third book of the rain series.
Still trying to outwit the "Ghost" and bring down his vast human trafficking rings there is a lot of This:

and this...

and some of this

That had me laughing and crying for Kas and Raina

and some points that i definitely didn't see coming

The writing for this book was definitely some of the more descriptive writing i've read in a while, putting me right along side Raina, cheering for her strength and wit, when outsmarting Evan Parker (The Ghost).

LOVED it!!! This series keeps getting better and better! After the Rain picks up right where Healing Rain left off. Book #3 primarily revolves around the Human Trafficking ring that Kas’ FBI unit is trying to bring down, along with Raina’s help. There’s a lot of action and suspense throughout the book. And I loved the humor and relationships between the FBI team… that’s a great bunch of guys!

Having gotten used to Karen-Anne Stewarts writing style I am now used to the jumping of the story from character to character and from one point in the story to the next, even if the previous part felt unfinished.

This book is definitely the best of the series, although there are far too many glossed over sex moments between Kas and Raina.

Raina has really grown as a person in this part of the trilogy, she has grown

But on with a short review.

This series was a great story. Poor Raina gets beaten so many times its amazing she even lives through some of it.

The writing got better and better with each book.

This book jumps right in where the last one left off. just like the first one and the second did. I really like that, cause then nothing has been missed. It more like it just one huge book that was split into 3.

This is the conclusion to the story so obviously
