This was cute! And short! Just long enough to read while you drink that holiday cup of coffee (Pumpkin Spice for the WIN!) and munch a couple cookies.

Jamey is a new firefighter in town. He's sent out to get groceries for the crew back at the firehouse when he spots a very hot nurse dancing and singing her way through an aisle. She's belting out "Santa Baby" and he's enthralled. He doesn't want to come across as a "creeper" but he does take the

This was a fun and quick read.

If you are looking for a sweet holiday romance, Santa to the Rescue will not disappoint.
I was smiling from beginning to end.
It's a short novella that will warm your heart and leave you wanting to read more of this loveable couple :)

This was a really cute, clean story clean enough for your grannie. My take is short like the story. The male love interest Jamey doesnt wonder what it be like to have sex with the femake Love Interest Heather, he wonders if he would be a good father to their kids.

Santa to the Rescue is a cute Christmas novella that's absolutely perfect for getting you in the Christmas spirit.

Heather is a little jaded when it comes to men, but when she met Jamey in the supermarket she was instantly attracted to him. When he called and asked her out that same day? She was hooked. Until he had to cancel their plans to meet up later in the week because he had to work.

Jamey, not wanting to let Heather down, shows up at the hospital where she works and surprises her with the

Jamey just had to meet the nurse he seen dancing and singing to "Santa Baby" in the grocery store. He helped her out at the store and she told him if he came to the pediatric department Christmas party, she'd give him a plate of homemade chocolate chip cookies. Because he's a new recruit, he gets all the crappy shifts at the fire department, which means he has to cancel on her. Heather's been hurt in the past and she takes his cancellation as a sign that he's not trustworthy. Will Jamey be able ...more

Santa to the Rescue by Adele Downs is a heartwarming holiday novella. Heather Longhurst is an RN who works in a childrens hospital. Due to her past relationships, she finds it difficult to trust other men. Jamey Tucker is a firefighter who has recently relocated to a new town and firehouse. Jamey witnesses Heather singing a carol in the aisle of the supermarket and immediately falls for her. I love the magic in these holiday stories. This is a short holiday novella that tied this story up ...more

I love books with firefighters(and not just because I'm married to one). This extremely short Holiday novella is sweet(and I mean sweet) enough to put a smile on your face and have you humming a certain song.

The only issue I had was that heroine Heather gets upset with hero Jamey over something that ends up being related to his job. She should have never let the thought cross her mind based on the fact she is a nurse in hospital.

Because this novella was so short, there's not to much else to say

Santa Baby Fun

This was a short fun holiday read. I really enjoyed reading this sweet romance. Firefighter Jamey Tucker is real hero material, and pediatric nurse Heather Longhurst has a giving spirit. References are made to some contemporary Country Music, but not overdone. Jameys character was well developed and you got a real feel for the firefighters working environment. The only thing that would have made this novella better was to make it longer. :)

A fairly enjoyable novella. Jamey is a real darling. What let it down for me was Heather's reaction to Jamey having to cancel on her.

Santa to the Rescue
is a novella by Adele Downs and was originally released in November of 2013 under Entangled Publishing's Flirt imprint. It's now being re-released under the Bliss imprint in time for the holidays. I never read the book during its first release so I can't really say if the story has stayed intact. This review is based solely on the re-released edition. ^.^

James "Jamey" Tucker is the new guy in town, working towards a permanent position with the Appleton Fire Station in Pennsylvania. Being the rookie, he's responsible for many tasks and duties within the firehouse. One morning, after battling a particularly nasty blaze, Jamey is commissioned to cook breakfast for everyone. Not having enough supplies, he heads to the local grocery story to gather the necessary items. He wasn't counting on the hot blonde he encounters to find her way into not only ...more

This cute story is a perfect way to start off the holiday season!

I was excited to see that this story was told through two points of view. When you are reading a novella, it is a HUGE plus if an author can get you to connect to their characters quickly. The switching points of view definitely helped in this case.

I really liked reading from Jameys point of view. He was such a genuinely good guy and that was really refreshing to see. He also showed some growth from the start of the story to the

Oh my goodness I just has the pleasure of reading the sweetest holiday romance story! SANTA TO THE RESCUE by Adele Downs is one of my favorite holiday stories so far this year.

They make an instant connection and plans to meet again. However Jamey is able to proceed with plans and Heather thinks he may be like the

Santa to the Rescue is a sweet holiday novella. I'm hesitant to call it a romance, because it's really just about the hero and heroine meeting and having an obvious connection. Jamey has just moved into town and is nearing the end of his probationary period with the fire department. He meets pediatric nurse, Heather, at the grocery store and is immediately smitten. They make plans for a date, but his work schedule suddenly changes. He does his best to let

Well this novella, Santa to the Rescue, officially helped get me into the Christmas spirit. Jamey is a new firefighter in town and being stuck with kitchen duty could never have been better for him. The story reads like Christian romance. There isn't any reference to God, but it just seems overly wholesome and has more than a sweet romance feel to it.

Heather is jaded by the past men in her life who have done her wrong and wonders if there are honorable men in the world who want forever love. Jamey is a man who believes in happily ever afters because that's what's in his family and he desperately wants it for himself.

Ok I just finished a really quick novella by Adele Downs. The story is called Santa to the Rescue. I don't know what I was expecting when I started this story, but I'm at a toss up. I thought the story was just okay. You have Jamey Tucker and Heather Longhurst kind of bump into each other at the grocery story. They both like each other. Honestly, there wasn't much to the story other than they like each and eventually end up together. No real conflict other than Jamey's

This is a cute Christmas novella about the new Fireman in town and a disillusioned nurse who has reason to distrust men.

Jamey is every girls dream but he's having trouble getting Heather to believe he is a man of his word. It's not his fault he was put on duty over the Christmas Season so he couldn't come by the hospital Christmas party.

He's a determined man however and comes up with a solution.

Ok where to start this book is very short. I am not one to read really short books because I feel like by the time you start it its over, and that was the same with this book. Over all there really wasn't much of a storyline. Two people meet they both have high expectations of each other right of the bat and one is disappointed because life gets in the way and then it all works out. Story over. I think if there may have been a little more to the story and maybe little bit longer it would have ...more

Down's Santa to the Rescue is a beautifully written, heartwarming tale of love during the holidays. This story surrounds itself with Firefighter Jamey Tucker and the woman he meets, pediatric nurse Heather Longhurst in the grocery store. "Santa to the Rescue" by Adele Downs. Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! It was such a sweet holiday story. Jamey was the true picture of every girl's dreams - a strong firefighter that is honorable and believes in forever love. This is a cute short story about the beginning of young love and what could be a wonderful relationship. It details the blush of first attraction, the uncertainty of the unknown the will (s)he or wont (s)he dialogue that runs through everyones mind in the beginning. It is endearing that the tale is told from both their hopeful but wary perspectives. Quick and airy.
