Darkness. Pain. Loss.

This is what seventeen-year-old Haley feels when waking up in a damp, gloomy cave. She doesn’t know who or where she is, nor does she remember that she is Eyid-emos, a descendant of the God of Air. All she knows is the dark angel, Dane, who comes to her rescue, making her feel safe and protected. It’s from Dane, descendant of the God of Fire, that she

If I were to describe this book in 1 word it would be ‘gripping.’ This exciting and mysterious story grabbed hold of me from the first page and didn’t let go. It still hasn’t let go, but rather is one of those works that stay with you for the long haul. I absolutely loved WOB, I was so hooked up in the story that I couldn’t put the book down! I loved it for so many reasons (we’ll get to all the reasons when the time comes) and I enjoyed reading every part of WOB, from the very first page until the end.

(This review may contain spoilers).

I really liked this book as well. I felt thrown into things and very confused at first - which really helped me to relate with Haley.

I grew quite fond of Dane and Axel in this book. I felt that the author did a really good job of showing their personalities - though I have to admit, I'm kind of suspicious about certain things. Axel was a very up-and-down character, which seemed to fit in

Just like the rest of the books, I found there was too much telling and not enough showing. I found it waaaay to descriptive for my taste. By the

Dale Ibitz was born in Oxford, Connecticut, grew up in the state of Washington, and then re-located back to Connecticut as an adult. Always a lover of books, she spent much of her childhood reading, visiting the library (her best friend’s mother was a librarian…how convenient), and writing. She majored in English at Central Connecticut State University, and while Dale holds a full-time day job whe ...more
