Holy crap you guys this book went way left of what I was expecting! I pride myself on being able to predict a story but this one really took me for a ride. First I want to address the physicality in this book. I mean holy crap we see a different side to their relationship and I think it was needed because up till now their relationship hasn’t really been one.Ethan’s attracted to her light and they have a paranormal connection but their physical attraction

I absolutely loved this story! I love how Nara and Ethan have grown so much together. The strength of their connection and the special bond that the two of them share is evident throughout the book. I found that there were many heart melting moments between them. I just adore the relationship between Samson and Ethan as well. These were some of my favourite scenes. I also really, really like the added the tidbits with Patch. Who knew a bird could be such a beloved character? Wow, oh wow on the e ...more

I've loved this series since book 1. Now that I have finished book 4, all I can say is that I will be counting down to the final book, especially given how this ended.

We pick up with Nara and Ethan, together again, and hopefully forever. However, things are still complicated. Nara's dad is back, but her mom doesn't know yet. Her mom is dating David, one of Nara's teachers, and her dad doesn't know this. After having been in a dream with Ethan, Nara's dad is not crazy about him and wants her to
Oh Shit! The ending!! It just about killed me!!! When is the next book coming out!!! Warning : Its a cliffhanger! When I was reading the book as it came towards the end I had a feeling it won't end with a happy ever after (view spoiler). Nara is the light in Ethan's dark. They were amazing. I never believed Ethan was dark. If he was dark there was no way he would feel the way he did for Nara. Not only Nara, just human bei ...more

I love how Ethan & Nara's relationship has developed. This book has crossed over into New Adult. The connection between Nara & Ethan is magical. We get some answers in this one but there's still more to know.

I love how in this book we got Ethan's point of view. He also communicates more with his Corvus. They don't exactly get along and they make a deal, which I'm not too sure is very smart of Ethan to do.

I love P.T. Michelle's writing style. It's like I can see it all as I'm reading it.

I liked this book because there wasn't a love triangle. Sure glad I'm not these characters; talk about stress!

Sunday. Nara doesn't tell Ethan Michael told her to get Master Corvus on track because he's in denial about what Fate said. Can't say Michael can't talk to him bec

DESIRE is a great edition to the BRIGHTEST KIND OF DARKNESS series. In this book we get the chance to see Nara and Ethan together on an even deeper level - communicating, supporting each other and connecting (aka SWOON). All of that has been building through the series, but it took off in DESTINY and is even stronger in DESIRE. I love the slow buildup to a romance, but when a couple lasts through a series, my favorite aspect of the relationship is being able to see the strength of them together. ...more

Firstly let me just say, that's the mother of all cliffhangers.

Reviewing this book is going to be difficult for me, because most of the time I loved it and then there were the other times, that small piece of the pie that had me questioning a couple of things.

For one, did this series turn into Adult paranormal without me noticing or something, because there were some hot and heavy scenes in there. I get that Ethan and Nara love eachother (a lot) but if I wanted to read a sexy adult paranormal

Brightest Kind of Darkness is one of the first books of the genre that I have read and I loved it so much that I was extremely curious to continue reading the sequels. It shortly became one of my favorite series. Nara is one of my favorite protagonists of all time so I like reading and experiencing her story. When I finished reading Destiny, I thought to myself what kind of a cliffhanger is that? And it was an epic one, at least from my point of view. And so I was very excited to hear that a fou ...more

I received a copy of this book via the author in exchange for an honest review.

Note: By far, this is going to be my longest review. I get a little long-winded and for good reason. Please let this reflect on my love (and borderline obsession) with this book series. You have been warned!

I’m just going to go ahead and let you know up front this review is going to have some major spoilers. It’s the fourth book in this series (not including the novella prequel!) and there really is no way not to give

Yup, an enjoyable installment. It was nice to see a bit more sexy times between Ethan and Nara....they are steamy together. I didn't mind that it was a shorter installment, but then again I got it on sale. :) Honestly, at this point in the series, if you're like me you're already sucked in and something drastic would have to happen for me not to continue. LOVED the Gran moments at Christmas. Don't know how I feel about Nara's parents. Honestly, review sum up -- LOVED some parts, meh on a *few* t ...more

This book was my least favorite of the series so far. I don't feel like we really learned all that much more or that it moved the story along all that much. It probably could have been shortened and then broken up between book 3 and book 5 and been enough. ...more

So this is apparently not the last book in the series, but the second to last. Ah well. The next (last?) book will come out this year, so I'll keep my eyes out. I still have the same objections as for the last book - the romance part is too cheesy for me, too wordy. But the paranormal and action parts are OK and I like the plot, which is why this still gets 3.5. I'm guessing the next book will take Nara to London and the Order. Which means more Drystan, which I like. ...more

This was a very fast paced book. Easy to read, but I think kind of a filler book. Everything in this book could have been combined with book 3. The ending made me mad.

Less action

This book, #4 of the series, has less plot and more mushy romance. The action and storyline has slowed down a lot from the first three books of this series.
Well. This series is definitely getting better and better. The revelations in part of this particular book are totally unpredictable and the whole thing becomes compulsive.

Nathan and Nara are still trying to unravel the puzzle which has landed in their lap. They make tremendous progress, but partly due to protest and denial, some issues remain unresolved. Nathan is just begenning to accept his nature when evil resurfaces and once again everything is turned upside down. Will they ever get to a sa

Getting better and better

I enjoyed this book with a passion.
I was happy, sad, angry, and plain annoyed but overall I was satisfied with my read.

I enjoyed reading the characters story and I do enjoy how the author writes the endings. Now the author did cut back on the recaps throughout the book a bit, but I need to reiterate this—STOP WITH THE RECAP OF THE LASTS BOOKS. It’s seriously not needed at all.

The book was great! I need the next one quick! I can not end on how it just ended

It's weird that this book was shorter than the rest. The plot was spicy since the beginnning. There are just so many lines knotting and unraveling that it's kinda hard to keep track, but the romance makes up for that, like, a lot. I mean, wow. Ethan and Nara can't seem to keep their body parts away from each other. At some point, the beautiful declarations of love their share could become too sweet, too corny, or too overwhelming, I was on the verge of thinking so, but then the plot thickens and ...more

I like the general story, and there are a great many things going on that I really enjoyed, but I don't care for the general obstinate lack of communication on the part of *all* the characters. It seems the author is only able to generate conflict by having every primary character be foolishly hard-headed. The foolishness gets tiresome sometimes. ...more

Wow what an ending! I love all the drama and even though I want to strangle Jonathan, there has to be balance and he is bringing part of it. It can’t be all rainbows and unicorns. I’m so excited to read the next book but I’m also sad because I don’t want it to be over.
