"I knew that Senator Kennedy would not accept defeat. He would not step aside and allow his horrible error to be a wake-up call. He would not reach out to me and suggest we put our bitter feud behind us. He would try again, for Kennedy men do not give up. They don't give up on their dreams of the White House, they don't give up once they decide they want to spend their liv ...more

Once again, Bethany Turner has entertained me with her wonderful imagination and writing skills. The main character, Abigail Phelps, has quite a life with such powerful and famous men in her life. Her loves, deep friendships, and her own fame and fortune describe a life that only a few achieve...yet many might dream about. I am anxious to start the third book in the series.

Fantastic story - well written, well told.

I normally read thrillers so this genre is slightly outside my comfort zone. I'm glad I decided to give it a try. The writer's style is easy to read. Her narrative glides smoothly and effortlessly through the pages. This is the second in a trilogy, so I didn't have the perspective of the first book, though it does stand alone perfectly well, and there are plenty of pointers to previous events. I had a hunch about what was going on, and was pleased when i

Ms Turner has done the same superb job of getting under the skin of real people and relating them to Abby Phelps as she did in the first book of this series. Being English, and familiar with the background from which he comes, I can judge Christopher Dean most easily, and I wonder if he’s read these books: if he has, he will have recognised himself, so kudos for that insight.

Scenes from Highland Falls is a “stand alone” novel with clever references to Abby’s past, both her relationships and life

This is the second book in the Abigail Phelps Trilogy, and it doesn't disappoint. In many ways this is even more of an emotional wringer than I've Loved These Days (Book 1 of the 3). Bethany Turner's writing has the power to pull you in on a deep level and leave you begging for more. I can't wait to feast my eyes on the third and final book. While book 1 would work as a standalone novel, to get the most enjoyment from book 2, I would strongly recommend that you read book 1 first.

In book 2, Abiga

She did it again, a wonderfully entertaining book. It made me laugh and cry, cry a lot. Although this one has quite the twist that is a head scratcher. Can't wait to start book #3.

I was so excited about diving back into the Chris and Abby story. It’s been several months since I visited two of my favorite literary characters ever! Not only was I not disappointed, I was sucked in even further than I had been in the first book of this series. This story had me glued to the pages from chapter one. Abby’s journey is one filled with laughter, tears, anxiety, and fear … and the best/worst part is … it can go from one extreme to another in just a few lines.

Especially after readi

“I have memories, but I don’t know if they are really mine or if I’ve just seen so many pictures. “Abigail, my love for you is forever, you know that. Your love for Sergei is forever. But my love for Jill is as well. I don’t know how it works, but I do believe the human heart is capable of much more than we give it credit for sometimes.” 1 likes
