My name is Taylor, and damn but my life changed overnight. One moment I was just a regular girl working two jobs to pay my bills, and next thing you know, I'm uncovering secret metal disks at my boss's house. Now I'm reading minds, dream-walking and being saved from bad guys by Mr. Dark and Brooding.

That would be Ryder Langston, my new next-door neighbor. He's sex on legs,

First of all I have to apologize to this author for only giving my review now. I’m going to move this post up for now so that you all could read my thoughts on what I thought about her Debut novel: Quick Silver dreams.

So sorry Adele, I had huge internet problems and I only realized now that I never added my review. My bad.

Now that is over I can start with my review.
First of all, I’m really not a sci-fiction reader but Quicksilver Dreams synopsis pulled me in from the first few sentences. I just

A lovely New Adult sci-fi romance, Quicksilver Dreams was an enjoyable read. It wasn't perfect, but I still liked it.

Taylor and Ryder were both great characters. Taylor was strong and dealt with everything that was thrown at her when her world was turned upside down. And, she wasn't the type to let others walk all over her. Ryder was also good. Sometimes, I wanted to whack him upside the head for acting like an idiot, though mostly just at the beginning. But, for the most part, he was sweet and

why I picked it upOkay honestly? Because it’s an alien book. You don’t get too many of those now-a-days, and it just sounded interesting. It had secret agents and aliens. What more can you ask for?

Quicksilver Dreams was filled to the brim with action and danger. Lots of things went on in this novel, ranging from evil aliens tryin

“I needed to be strong. I couldn’t risk falling apart. There wouldn’t be anyone there to help pick up the pieces, and then where would I be?”—Taylor

Taylor knows one thing for certain: she can’t count on anyone. Absolutely, no counting on anyone. At all. Especially not Ryder, her sexy new neighbor that is super dreamy. The guy literally enters her dreams! Or maybe she pulls him in—she’d rather blame it on him. Anything to protect her heart, after all. She’s getting whiplash with his hot and cold

6hrs onto the book and holy shit this author is VERBOSE!! Where the hell was the editor when she let her characters go on tangents?!?

All the rambling is making me EXTREMELY bored and my finger is twitching to just click on another book.

7hrs left......

1hr 25mins left and yes, the author totally is way too long winded. this book could have been half the length and would have probably been better.

23mins left......

it's official, Taylor is TSTL **smh**

Oh Ryder you damn hunk, "you okay?" his deep voice rumbled, not even a trace of a smile evident. If anything, her was giving me this sort of steely-eyed gaze." He's protective, "his scruffy square jaw clenched, a sneer curling his top lip, his eyes looking stone cold at the guy on the floor. He raised them to meet mine, and they narrowed and heated as they did a body scan. They sent a shiver through me before he looked back down at the guy on the floor nursing his fingers. A delicious, paranormal love-story!
If you’re a paranormal romance fan, you’ll love this one! A perfect balance of sexual tension, action, and fantasy. I was pulled into the story from the first paragraph and had trouble putting the book down. The otherworldly imagery is beautifully developed, as are the characters. I found the concept of wandering through the unguarded minds of others fascinating, and loved watching the heroine come into her own. It’s the mark of a great storyteller when you’re

This is a light, enjoyable read. It doesn't take itself overly serious, and the characters are both likable and can be related to. Of note, it does get somewhat racy at points (no objections!), but the overall plot is not ignored.

In general, I would recommend this to people who enjoy a bit of science fiction mixed into their fantasy.

Okay... someone should have warned me that once I started reading this book I would get ZERO done until I finished it. What a story! The world the Danube Adele creates just pulls you right in! Once there, you don't want to leave!!!! I am really looking forward to the second book in this series.

Fairly decent storyline, although the main female character did do some really hairbrained things occasionally. My only problem was the ending, which I felt was too abrupt and dissatisfying.

Quicksilver Dreams. Danube Adele
Review from Jeannie Zelos Book reviews.
When I started this I was quickly hooked, and I thought it was going to be one I’d vote a five star for. Taylor is a great lead, feels so real and I felt I understood her – she'd struggled, and yet still retained her kindness in her fight for a better life than the one she'd had. That makes so many people hard and yet Taylor had a genuine kindness to her – I felt she's someone that could easily be a friend. I need to like my

Quicksilver Dreams is book one in Danube Adele’s Dreamwalkers series. I read book two Dark Summer Dreams first and from that decided I need to pick up the other books in the series. You can read the books out of order. We get lots of action, conflict, romance and a roller coaster of emotions.

Taylor is a strong women and easy to relate too. Very well developed character that can stand on her own. I liked Taylor!

This was a beautifully written novel. I loved the Sci-Fi twist and was completely taken in by the story line. Adele is a master of keeping secrets close and only giving away tidbits - enough to keep you interested and working away at the puzzle yourself. Taylor was an interesting character, I wasn't quite sure if I liked her or not. She often left Ryder in a huff or tried to end their "relationship" which came across as a little foolish and a bit like a sulky teenager. I admired her confident as ...more

This is my first time reading this author, and really the first sci fi romance I have read. At first it started out a little slow, but it did pick up a quarter of a way in to the book. The characters come alive in the book and the details of the other planet are extremely good. I also really liked the descriptions of the characters, you really got the whole picture of them and really see them. Also it was nice to have the secondary characters have some important roles in the

So this is a new author and a new series, and it kicks off with a start. I’d also like to confess I usually don’t read too much sci-fi, I stick with the fantasy parts. :) LOL but it’s definitely interesting and a page turner. Out of this world kind of page turner, literally. It’s a fresh new way to create a new world and a wonderful start to a new series!

Taylor is our female main. She’s definitely is an intriguing lady. She’s had lots to cope with. And even with all her bad hands, she’s still

I received this free eARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

At first I was enjoying this novel. But it's so long! This book could have been half the length and better, in my opinion. Plus, the background story was long winded in some areas and fly right over other information that seemed like it should have been explained in more detail.

I'm not sure how I felt about Taylor. On the one hand, I feel for her because she's had no one to love her and has had to fight her way to get to

I'd give this book negative stars if I could. IlOn the surface, it's the story of a woman who becomes embroiled in a war between two human-based cultures from another planet. The heroine falls in love with the hero while trying to capture a terrorist. The actual book, however, is the story of the romanticization of an abusive relationship. The hero threatens the heroine many times and yet she still falls for his attractive, possessive, rape-blame self. He is an abuser and she is TSTL. You could ...more

Ugh. This book was annoying. Taylor and Ryder have the most hot and cold relationship ever. As soon as they meet, they're overcome with insta-lust, and pretty soon they're making out even though they don't know each other. Then they get into a fight. Then they make out. Then they get into another fight. Then they have sex. Then they fight. And so on. It's infuriating. And the most annoying part is that Taylor would be rightfully pissed at him, but as soon as he touches her, she melts into a pudd ...more
