Life for Charlotte (Charlie) Harris couldn’t be any better at this moment in time. She has her dream job, she has the extremely wealthy knight in shining armour and she has the best friends a girl could ever ask for. On paper, the beautiful world unfolding at her feet almost appears too good to be true for a working class girl from Manchester right?

But what happens when

*J* Too Many Books Too Little Time
3.5--Drama Filled--Stars!!!

Wow.....first half of the book--little to no drama....second half of the book--drama overload. A bit too much drama really. Some of it I saw coming....most of it I saw coming.

Broken Truth is the story of Charlie and Callum (love the name). Charlie is an apprentice at a boutique working evenings at a bar to make ends meet. One night while working Charlie meets Callum Ellis.

Flash forward 15 months and Charlie and Callum are boyfriend/ together.

The story of Charlie and Callum is not the usual romance...well it is but it isn't.
Have you ever been in a fairly newer relationship when you know something isn't right but you loveeeee him so much you "trust" him? Or ignore the little signs that pang in your gut? Charlie has been with Callum for 15 months and never once questioned his loyalty , I mean why would she he loves and adores her right? They have the most magnificent chemistry and as the book starts to unfold all looks "perfect"

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I loved Charlie with her spunky and sassy personality. There were so many times that she made me laugh, like when eating the sandwich that was 'the fucking shit!' And Callum... *whew* Callum was so yummy and smooth. Dirty talking and oh-so sexy. The hot scenes were kind of OMFG! And I loved the 'British-isms' and the drama that unfolded, even though it made my heart lurch and ache.

Nipple count was only 15, but don't let that fool you. There were 128 instances of 'fuck' and the

“I didn’t even think it was possible for you to get pregnant while breastfeeding,” Callum said as he placed a hand gently on her tummy.
“Well I wasn’t breastfeeding exclusively because we mixed it up with breast milk and formula. It is easier to get pregnant that way,” she advised, keeping a watchful eye on the squirming child under the blanket.

This is all I have to say about this book.

The passage was taken from the very end of the novel, and once I encountered it, it just erased all other

This is the story of sweet Charlotte (Charlie) and sexy millionaire Callum.

They meet and he asks her out the same day. Fast forward 15 months and they are living together in a posh apartment that he designed and built. Hes quite the wealthy businessman.
Charlie is into fashion, working at a boutique but also like a stylist.

Callum always seemed shady to me. Works away in London all week, controls their contact by phone calls. Literally she has him on weekends only! It bothers her and she

~*~*~*~My REVIEW ~*~*~*~

My Rating :

This book is really romantic, it’s light and it has just the angst to keep me at the edge of my seat.

Charlotte a.k.a. Charlie’s life is perfect, she has her dream job… a dreamy, rich and near-perfect boyfriend for 16 months…. and she has the most amazing best friends.

But what if your perfect boyfriend, the one you loved so much, is not so perfect after all?

The story has a shocker factor and my heart broke for Charlie.

I'm still confused how Charlie could be in a relationship with her boyfriend for fifteen months and not question his lack of calls etc during the week. Considering how hot they were in the bedroom, it doesn't make sense that they had so little contact between and that she didn't even know his London address. Considering the style of the book I felt the bedroom scenes were crude, it felt more befitting of a biker book than a book with a CEO. Even I could see what was coming next, but that was ...more

Once truth has been broken, can love still find a way?
This is Beth Ashworth's debut novel and I absolutely loved it! I couldn't put it down and I even carried my kindle to work so I could read during my lunch break. I'm very impressed with her writing skill. The story flowed very smoothly. I really enjoyed the dialogue, the witty banter, and most especially the chemistry and steamy sex between Callum and Charlotte (Charlie). I could feel the love and support of Charlie's close friends, and I

I guess I feel like I read a different book than everyone else. I really disliked Charlie. She claims to love her man yet she doesn't listen to explanations from anyone except the enemy. Her friends are downright bad friends with the constant 'solidarity' yet they never look at any other side of the puzzle. Not to mention they all have borderline substance issues with all the times they are getting drunk on shots. And the entire drama, which drags out for a long time, is tidied up with 1 ...more

For a debut novel, this was very well written and precise. Beth does a great job with grabbing the reader's attention right from the beginning. The story begins with Charlie (Charlotte) who is trying to make it into the fashion world and has to have a dead-end waitressing job just to pay her bills. One night, the mysterious and brooding, Callum, sits at her table and Charlie is so caught up just by looking at him. Of course, sparks fly and the two become an item. About a year later, Charlie and ...more

Wow I seriously LOVED this book!! Charlie a bright sassy young woman has the hottest man Callum (YUM) on her arm and in her bed! So much goes on in this book it was a rollercoaster of emotions from happy to heart ache, so many twists that you don’t see coming!

When I first started reading I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was hooked pretty much from the start and I found it very hard to put down. The steamy scenes get the heart rate going. I

Broken Truth is the debut book by Beth Ashworth.

This is a story about Charlie and Callum, their relationship, the love, and the lies. Mostly its about the lies. It's hard to discuss the book without giving everything away. Let's just say nothing is as it seems. Charlie and Callum have been together for 15 mos. They're living together and completely in love. Callum is a multimillionaire and owns his own company. Charlie is an up and coming fashion stylist. On the outside they both appear to have

“I will always find you, Baby. And if I can’t find you then your friends will always help me.”

There have been very few debut novels that have come across my ereader that have impressed me as much as Broken Truth by Beth Ashworth. She thanked her husband in her acknowledgements for supporting her as she worked on this novel for a year….and it showed. The storyline was captivating, the characters were delicious and the editing, was for the most part, flawless. Kudos to you Ms. Ashworth

Charlotte (Charlie) is dating Callum, a man she is desperately in love with and who, when he is around, claims to be very much in love with her. The problem is that he is a high-powered business man, and she only gets to see him on the weekends. He works out of his city office during the week and then they spend most of the weekend having hot sweaty sex.

Charlie has gotten to a point in her life where she is working towards a career she loves, and is dating the man of her dreams. Except she

I have to say I did like this story. The book is a debut novel for new author Beth Ashworth. The plot was really fantastic, and the character dynamics with all of the supporting players was really good. I always love the best friends in the book.

I felt a connection and love between Cullum and Charlotte aka Charlie. You could tell how strong the love is. The story pretty much takes you right into the relationship. You see how they meet and then it fast-forwards

As an avid reader from a very early age, Beth has always been keen to put her words onto paper. As a child she was always found with either a book in her hand, a pen and notepad or a computer games controller.
