Holy crap. Addictive and twisted. If you like Dexter this is an adult story with teen characters that pulled me in from the onset and took turns I didn't expect and ended on a cliffhanger-ish type ending that made me immediately dive into next audiobook. I am surprised this isn't on lists everywhere.

Cosette Hugo is living in a world of terror. She's being stalked and tortured by a vicious enemy, while the world leaders turn a blind eye to the daily atrocities.
You guessed it, Cosette is in high-school!

Cozy has been going through a lot of emotional turmoil - her parents have divorced, her brother Victor was killed shortly after returning home from Iraq, and on top of it all - she's being bullied at school, but has no idea why. She just wants to get throu

This was an exciting read as I wasn't 100% sure what I was going to get with the title of this book. In this book, we meet Cosette Hugo whose brother Victor died and then her dad left her family for a new family. There is a serial killer gang harming the blonde woman, and Cosette is going through trouble at school with a bully named Hilda. One night Cosette is running and interrupts a couple of attackers who are trying to rape and kill a female which turns out to be none other than Hilda. Cosett

I was given an advanced readers copy of this book to review and could not have been more pleased.

I am a Mother, Wife, Librarian, avid reader, and former tortured teenager. I have nothing but good things to say about this book. It kept me guessing and second guessing right up to the end!
Atty Eve is an evil genius!
Great writing, great characters and a story with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It was hard for me to put it down and will be even harder to

*I was given a copy of this book by the author as the host of an online radio show about indie books.*

When I booked the author on my Indie Books BlogTalkRadio show, I wasn't expecting to read the book. I do a show a week and time doesn't always allow me to read every book featured. When she offered me a copy of the book, I decided to give it a try. Boy am I glad I did! This book blew me away. The story started out pretty much like I expected. I thoroughly enjoyed reading My Beautiful Suicide. I was looking for something out of the norm to read, and this amazing debut novel from Atty Eve was just what I was looking for!

Cosette was just an average teenage girl until her brother died. After that, her Dad left, she started being bullied at school and was just totally unhappy with her life. She decides that she needs to die.

Over the course of the story we learn that there is a serial rapist/murderer in town. One ni

Well, I have to hand it to debut author Atty Eve. She certainly knows how to create a story full of unpredictable, yet believable twists. Much like Kelly Braffet gave the NA genre a bit of a kick up the bum with her brilliant novel Save Yourself, with My Beautiful Suicide Atty Eve creates a novel that is challenging, unpredictable and, at times, utterly frightening. And is most definitely not for teens ...

The novel opens on familiar ground, though those with a sound knowledge of Engl

This book was able to hook me from the beginning . While suicide is a hard subject to approach I feel that Atty did a great job bringing this subject up. This story was so very well written and the character relatable. I cannot wait for more to see what’s next . I don’t need long sentences to describe this book because It does a great job in itself. The writing, the characters, and the plot made this book what it is great. The emotions in this book w

The author captures the self-centered universe of a character who is fifteen when the story opens. So much of her universe revolves around her feelings. She is being bullied at school and doesn’t have much of a long term vision when it comes to solving her problems. Her worldview is limited.

The story did capture me. I kept wondering what the author would be able to do with such a limited world view. So I was surprised to find myself caught up in the atmosphere of suspense that she is able

I just finished and it's just after 2:30am. I couldn't put it down! Just when you think you know what someone's reaction will be, they'll surprise you. I went through a roller coaster of emotions from empathy, agreement, repugnance, and horror. Half the time, I was upset with myself for who or what I was rooting for. This isn't one of those warm tea by the fire books. It is more like a shot of absinthe in a speeding, stolen-from-a-meth-head, convertible kinda books. I'll be starting book two in ...more

I was completely floored by the storyline and the amazing narration. I even found myself backtracking just to ensure that the things I heard throughout the storyline had really taken place. Well-written with incredible characters and I must tell you that I was completely glued to this audiobook. The twists and turns that occur within this fast-paced story will blow you right out of the water and I highly recommend that you listen to this. -The Voluptuous Book Diva ...more

This is book one in the series My Beautiful Suicide Series.

Cossette the main character isn’t having an easy life. Her parents are divorced, her brother has died and she’s being bullied at school. All she wants to do is get through the rest of the term and get a break from school.

Running is her escapism. Unfortunately it runs her into a situation that is about to change her life.

I thought this was a well written story. Can’t wait to read the next book.

Love. Love. Loved this book! Once I started I did not want to stop. I can't wait to drive into the next ones. It was like a mix of Margo from Marrow by Tarryn Fisher and Heathers and I absolutely loved it! I did have a feeling about Red.

This is an excellent book and a fun read. A proper review is forth coming.
And here it is:

Review – My Beautiful Suicide

My Beautiful Suicide is a story of addiction. The writer, Atty Eve, is addicted to Les Miserables! She names her characters Victor Hugo and Cossette. Cossette is our teenage heroine, and as it often is the story with teenagers, her life is in shambles. She is the target of a bully, she is plain looking, her father left the family in poverty after her brot

A Review by John M. McNamara

For an otherwise meek high school sophomore girl who wears braces and is routinely bullied to morph into an accidental, vengeful, serial-killing vigilante would ordinarily stretch the boundaries of incredulity. But Atty Eve shapes the main character, Cosette, so completely that we as readers ride along this tragic and disastrous downward spiral without muttering any doubt about its veracity. The title of this book may put some readers off and the product description does not necessarily help in this respect! However, rest assured that though suicide is central to the theme of this book, it's not actually a book about that. This novel is dark humour at its most twisted and not to be missed.

The book is primarily about the life and struggles of a teenage girl and is as good in this genre as many books which have their place etched in history. (Think Adrian Mole.) However, t

If you are looking for something to relax you in the evening and help you sleep, this book is not for you. If you want to feel, laugh, get your heart rate beating and your emotions on fire, then this book should definitely be on your list. Follow the adventures of Cosette and she travels through the dysfunction junction of adolescence and makes her mark on the world. Stay alert for twists and turns and a most enjoyable read!

In the future, I will brag that I read her first novel. I can't imagine how she could improve. Hopefully she will bring her amazing talent to many important topics. I will read them all. She writes in an authentic voice that wraps you tightly in the world she has created. Character development is logical and frightening. I could barely put it down to go to work. Amazing.

This book was recommended to me by a friend who knows my taste and I started it immediately when she described it as Cruel Intentions meets Pretty Little Liars meets Heathers... that alone had me completely intrigued. And man she was completely right, I think it was mostly like Heathers which I loved.

I hesitate to say this is YA because it's not, it just has teenage characters not teenage situations. This book was dark and twisty and I listened until I couldn't kee

This was a great audiobook! I love dark & twisted, and found it highly entertaining! It's about a girl in high school that doesn't have a lot to live for (in her view) but keeps going, until an accident that changed everything. Now she's torn between suicide, becoming the local serial killer's next victim , and killing again.

What a fascinating listen, I was captivated and enjoyed the whole thing from start to finish. Well written and beautifully narrated. Really great, and can't wait to lis

Dead on the inside

Atty Eve you have the most amazing talent. I was told this book would be an emotional roller coaster. That's an understatement. I have felt more while reading this book than almost any other book that I can remember. It is very hard hitting for personal reasons. From the beginning to end my wtf factor has been going up and down. Cosettes story is amazing and beautiful. This was my first Atti Eve's book. This is the first book in the My Beautiful Suicide Series. Somehow, this story reminded me Dexter. Cosette is a complex character. Her pain is well described and believable. There is a lot going on in this story. No dull moments! The storyline is intense, dark, fast-paced, and filled with twists and turns. Michelle Sparks did a great job with the narration.

Book Tour - Blogg...: My Beautiful Suicide 1 18 Nov 22, 2013 09:05AM

I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I grew up with a short-tempered, alcoholic father, and faithful Christian mother. My escape was reading and music. I think I was the only kid with my nose in a book during the Air Force Academy football games.
As a rebellious teen I was very self-destructive and always getting into trouble. Needing a change I followed my father's footsteps
