Surprisingly good. I expected some blow-em up action pulp (going by the jacket cover),and got a great little collection of inter-twinning short stories. Some lovely uncommon twists. And a few emotional bits. Amongst the blow-em up action backdrop. I liked the writing style and will keep a lookout for other books by Jack Hawkins.
