Some amusing anecdotes here and there (when the author is not bashing the so-called typical Malaysian).
She complains about irresponsible Malaysians littering the roadside (page 52) but it's OK when her own children treat it as a public restroom (page 197).
She criticizes the various types of Malaysian drivers (page 80) but it's OK when she runs over a red light driving like a Grand Prix Driver (her own words) just to save the laundry from rainfall (page 285). Apparently, the desired rules do not

Lydia Teh is as Malaysian as nasi lemak, char kuay teow and roti canai.
