* SPOILERS*
Okay so when I read this it sounded good. I LOVE a rock star book. The "will be edited in 2014" should of gave a lot away to me. But I don't mind errors, they don't bother me. But when sentences don't make sense ALL the time, not just SOMETIMES, like at least once a chapter, it's a bit much and it had the most errors I have ever read in any book ever. That was annoying AND distracting. I actually like the first 20-25% of this book. I liked Emily and not taking s*** from any men and Johnathan. She put him in his place, didn't swoon over him and kicked his a$$ for him being a douchebag. Then he gets jealous some how and busts into her hotel and announces his un-dying love for her!?!?! UMMMM WTF!?!?! they hated each other less than 24 hours ago...how can he love her that quick. His explanation is bull crap and cheesy. And then he tells her he doesn't want to have sex with her. She then BEGS him....even though she punched him, calls him a prick, a$$hole and every other name under the sun and never shows any interest in him...then she begs him and calls him baby and tells him she loves him...ummm AGAIN, WTF!?!?!?! then the next day he leaves without so much of a note. Really!? do you honestly do that to your "soul mate" and then he basically dumps her the next day?...ummmm okay..... and how can Emily not know her best friend was on drugs and was GAY!!! 10 YEARS!!! and Stacy...I do not like him one tiny bit, from the beginning he is bossy and an a$$hole and tries to tell her what panties she can and cannot wear, your her boss. Yes, tell her what clothes are appropriate or not. But panties? get off your high horse, I would of kneed him in the balls if he told me no one wants to see my granny panties. And Johnathan in the start is this big, bad, hot rock star. Six-five and 200 or so pounds and then he just all of a sudden out of no where starts crying to her? nothing in this story is believeable at all. He also treats women like crap and Emily like crap, even though he says he loves her and she is his soul mate. And one minute he can't get it up for head because he loves Emily, then he is boning a girl because low and behold Emily randomly out of no where turns into a lesbian and has sex with a woman....
This book is so seriously messed up. I wanted to like this book, heck, some parts I DO LIKE. But Jesus, it was killed. I had to finish it because I never leave a book un-finished. It kills me to write this review, look at my reviews and you will see I NEVER do this. But I am sooo mad, frustrated, let down, embarrassed for this author. And then I find out there is three books!! I read the synopsis and reviews for book 2 and it looks like it does not get any better. The errors are just as bad and she is a lesbian in book 2? and yet she is pregnant with his twins low and behold.....I will NOT be reading book 2. I hope book 3 gets better and the author really sits down and thinks about this. Get some beta readers( good ones) fire your editor and at least try to salvage the third book. PLEASE. I truly would love to know how it works out for Emily and Johnathan. I would like to see them together. I would of and would like if this book was differen't and things were differen't. It had sooo much potential. I wish the author the best of luck and hope her nothing but the best. If anyone reads my reviews you know I hate leaving a negative review. This hurts me doing this. But this was TORTURE for me to read...I want to warn everyone. Do not waste your money, whether it is free, 99 cents or 1.99$...do not do it. It was a HUGE let down and I am truly sad by this. I hope Johnathan gets help in rehab and Emily straightens the f*** out...I hope Stacy decides what he is...gay, bi, likes cats, etc.
I'm done. I don't want to hurt this author, I'm sorry if that is what this review will do. But I believe in honesty, I am ALWAYS honest when I beta read or read a book. Authors need that. I think this author needs a kick in the a$$ if she wants to salvage her books or her career. My opinion. Take it or leave it.

DNF. I tried, but the sentence structure just killed me. Commas are a wonderful thing when used properly. I didn't find many commas in the couple of pages that I struggled through.

Since I only read a few pages, I'm not giving this a star rating, but people, please, look beyond all the glowing 5 star reviews, and at least read the sample on this one before buying.

Edited Nov 1st. My copy of this book was a Smashwords edition. It was pointed out that the missing commas are in fact in the Amazon Kindle edition, and on checking the sample, I can verify that at least some of the missing commas have been found. It's cheap enough, I might go ahead and buy that version and give it another shot, because I DO like the idea behind the story and some of the content warnings.

This was a great book to stumble upon. There is nothing better then pursuing for new reads and stumbling on a new author :)

I know many have made bad/negative comments about the grammar but to be honest it wasn't a big deal to me. The story itself kept me so wrapped up that often my brain just auto corrected on its own and anxiously read on! The main characters in this are great, but there are points in the book of detail that don't really add up to anything. Hoping in the next 3 books to follow they will all fall into place.

Without divulging any spoilers I'd like to say I truly cannot wait to see where the next book brings us in this romance with Johnathan and Emily and I hope to see more on Stacy's potential love. :) Can't wait for book 2! :)

The writing style is okay.
Everything happened kinda fast...Love at first sight and all.
I kind of wanted for their banter to be longer, I mean, there's 4 books in the series...what the hell is gonna happen in each of them?

Don't get discouraged, it might seem too fast & uberly cheezy (Overly) but you'll get why.

I kind of noticed myself skipping a few sentences then a few pages when she went home for a short vacation, I just skipped and read the conversations.

The F-F scenes, eeew! seriously! It was totally unexpected!! I mean, I'm no prude and it's not the first time that I've read an F-F scene...but for the main lead to do that and it looks like not just for the kink of it...it's just disgusting! seriously!!!

3 Super Star Stars!

The Review:
This review is going to be a mix of good and bad. First, lets start with the good. I really enjoyed the characters. The innocent girl, desperate to make it in a situation thats a make it or break it kind of deal who meets the quintessential bad boy who is also a complete man whore. When Emily and Jonathan first meet, sparks fly and not in a good way. They clashed from the beginning as Emily stood up to him and didn’t take any of his mouthy crap, no matter how hot he was. She was strong willed and didn’t let the all male situation intimidate her into a shrinking violet. I loved this about her. I'm a huge fan of strong female leads and she definitely was. Jonathan was cool, collected and a smart ass but when he started to fall, it was hard and fast. Something about Emily sucked him right in and in his conflicted way, tried to get to actually know her.. but of course he still wanted her in his bed.

The story... I really enjoyed the story. Who doesn’t love a hard rocker who’s taken by the innocent girl with a will of iron? Its a traditional story wrapped in unique situations and a wonderful cast. And steamy?? Yes please! Love me some steam and this had plenty to go around!

BUT here’s the rub! This book would have warranted a higher rating if their had been a better editing job. Sentence structure is very important for a reader. We get emotions, timing, personality and scene points from proper punctuation. Without it, a reader is left wondering how to play the scene in their minds. This book had a LOT of errors in punctuation, grammar and some of the dialogue needed culling through and reformatting. Some of the lines came off in a different way then I know they were intended, and it was all due to grammar.

The Wrap Up:
I love hot rock stars stories who fall for the unsuspecting girl. And this book was just that kind of read. I loved the story. I loved the characters. But a knowledgeable editor can do wonders for a manuscript and I’d love to re-read this one after its been gone over carefully and fixed. I think I’d definitely give it higher marks.

**This review may include some spoilers. I usually try to control myself but this time, I can’t.**

Good grief. My head is spinning.
I picked up Stricken Desire after reading a short novella by the same author. Hell, it was $.99, it’s kinda hard to go wrong at that price.

We’ll start with the Cons:

1. Very little of this story deals with Johnathan Stricker, the lead singer of this totally popular rock band. Most of it focuses on Stacey, Emily’s super confused best friend and the band’s manager. (What kind of name is Stacey? Can we make this issue #2? Seriously, I’m not diggin’ that name.) This story was all over the place, jumping between these men and Emily, and even other women. It was just – everywhere.

2. I already claimed this one for Stacey. Don’t name your little boy Stacey. It’s just not nice.

3. Emily has infertility issues. I can relate. I also have infertility issues. That little fact made me feel a little closer to this snarky little redhead. That is until she magically found herself pregnant with not just one but TWO kids. If it were only that easy to skip over your medical issues and make all your dreams come true. It happens, I know. I’ve watched I Didn’t Know I was Pregnant. Yes, it can happen, but seriously… It’s kind of like a tiny slap in the face to all of us out here in reality.

4. If Emily called Johnathan misogynistic one more time... Use more descriptive words please. There’s no need to monopolize one words. We have a beautiful thing called a thesaurus. USE IT.

5.Orgasms: 12 orgasms in a 4 fuck period is RIDICULOUS! I am all for fantasy; all for reading about two people coming at the same time or having multiple orgasms. Hell, it’s a fantasy for a reason, but adding in 12 orgasms is just unrealistic. I actually remember laughing at the page. It was over the top.

6.Holy crap! Enough with the Emily is so tiny bit. 5’2” isn’t THAT small. It’s not like she’s Snooki and stands at around 4’9”. Yeesh.

7. The editing was HORRENDOUS! Some major editing needs to be done on this one. It seemed to get worse as the story unfolded. Maybe the author was trying to quickly pump it out. (Ha!) I dunno. If you’re putting out a novel for the world to read, at the very least have it edited. It makes you look like you don’t have a clue when you push out something that has repeated errors. We all make mistakes. I know I do. Just please edit next time.

Pros:

1. The sex was hot. There’s something for everyone in this novel: M/M, M/F, F/F – It has it all. You mostly just hear recounts of the M/M, which is probably a good thing... I don’t think that’s for everyone, then again, neither is F/F.

2. The relationship between Stacey and Emily, while completely fucked up, is what we all hope to find in another person. They’re soul mates on a deeper level, and I found that inspiring.

3. Emily’s parents rock.

4. Keith (one of the band members) seemed pretty cool.

5. I was never sure what would happen next.

6. Emily is snarky and quick with a comeback. I love that in a heroine. Weak minded women make me want to pull my hair out. I’m over joyed that Emily had a little ‘tude to sling around.

I can’t say I’d recommend this one. It just has too much going on. A baby (or two), bisexuality, abuse (physical, mental, and child), drug use… It was like a crap storm overload. There is no HEA in this book. There is, however, “cheating” and lies… It’s just a lot. Too much. I have mixed feelings about even continuing the series.

Stricken Desire

This book is hot, like douse me in water, panty melting hot. There should be a warning do not read in public and make sure you either have a significant other nearby or extra batteries. If you are easily offended by hot rockers, lots of steamy sex, F/F interactions, or orgies DO NOT READ this book. However if you are open minded and love to live vicariously through books and characters this book is one you will not be able to put down.

I loved the characters. Emily is a fiery red head who has just taken a position as co-manager of one of the hottest rock bands, Stricken, thanks to her best guy friend Stacy. Stacy gives Emily the job because he is secretly in love with her and wants her to be near him. Jonathan lead singer of Stricken is ridiculous hot and sexy. Initially he and Emily do not get along and argue a lot. But that arguing leads to passion and a one night stand. Throw in a lot of twists and turns and some unexpected "interactions" and you have a story that makes you want more. I NEED more and to find out where the author is going to take us next. Can't wait to read book 2!!!

Stricken Desire is the story of Emily and rockstar Johnathan Striker. Emily is thrown in with the band when she agrees to help out with managing them. The tension between Emily and Johnathan sizzles from the very beginning. Johnathan is a typical rocker with the manwhore status. Emily wonders what she got herself into by helping out and taking on the band. She doesn't take any crap from Johnathan and is not afraid to put him in his place. And, there are some super hot scenes in this book! The reason I only gave it three stars is because I couldn't really get in connection with the characters. I didn't get sucked into the emotions the characters were feeling. I was wanting to feel more with this story, but unfortunately I never did.

I am not sure how I feel about this one.

The first 40% I really enjoyed. I loved the sequel tension and bickering between our main protagonists.

But then came the sex. While the sex was hot, the talk wasn't! For a hot as hell rocker it just made me roll my eyes it was that bad!!

But then things ramped up again and I got back in to it. There was a plot line that I picked a mile away but where it goes I need to find out.

I loved Stacy most of the time but sometimes.e's just great

There are 3 more in this seris and I am still umming and ahing about reading them (though I know I will someday,)

I read this about 7 years ago, and when I started rereading this I just kept thinking why the hell did I rate this 4 stars it’s so bad.. and it is, the first half anyway there’s so much about this that I didn’t like in regards to the writing and Emily’s constant dialog! BUT that scene in the bathroom with the lesbian… HOT as fuck! 🔥
The second half did pick up for me, the first half I spent rolling my eyes and cringing, thinking maybe I should just stop reading, but then the second half I was glued, so you know what I’m gonna keep my 4 star rating because I like the storyline and where it’s going and want to read the next book

One star for not being able to finish at around 10%

Sorry. But I don't have time to muddle through crap for grammar and poorly constructed sentences. I should have to try and figure out what an author means. It should be clear, concise and grammatically correct. Commas are our friends. As are complete thoughts and sentences.

Word to the wise- if you want to be an author and you want to be taken seriously then hire a REPUTABLE editor. Then take the extra step and REREAD what you write OUTLOUD! Trust me when I say it WILL help you find some editing and structure flaws!!

This could have been a good book. Even though it has supposedly been re-edited, there were so may grammatical mistakes, typos, misspellings, wrong words that no matter how much I liked the characters, it was a difficult read. Additionally, it is really the first in a series - read: serial with an abrupt cliffhanger ending - and the description doesn't really give that away.

I mostly liked the characters so I stuck with it. I was invested but with those strikes against it, I won't be reading further.

I'm not going to give it a star rating because I didn't finish it, but let me warn you, it's horrible. Horrible doesn't even begin to describe this book. I'm no where near the grammer police but there were so many errors it made it too difficult to read. The abscence of comma's makes the sentences run on and on and on. Not to mention the story was just, how do I put this, boring? Yes, yes that's the word.

This writer is in dire need of an editor! There are soooo many errors in this book it's unbelievable! I am sorry to only give it two stars, but I just think that the characters are flat and don't give the reader much to think about. They are always doing/saying the same things over and over.
I'll read the whole series because I want to know where their stories lead to, but not because of the story per se.

I don't even remember how I stumbled upon this new author but I am glad that I did. I was sick in bed when I started this book and it grabbed my attention and I immediately had to buy the next one.

Rock Star, Sex, Drugs, Rock n Roll, groupies, steamy HOT Sex..... it has it all! Yes, there are some Editing errors but I can look past those. This author can write some sex scenes let me tell you.... WOWZA.... and even the not so hard core scenes she writes will have your panties falling off =)

Emily is a smart mouthed, short, not a size 0, sassy girl. She takes on a job with her guy best friend Stacy to help manage and go on the road with the rock band Stricken. Immediately seeing Jonathan there is attitude thrown out by both of them. They argue and fight and let's face it....in the end they hook up! And boy do they! YUM!

Stacy has been her best friend since child hood. He was there for her through her shit and she was their for him through his. You'd think they were married the way they are with each other. Their relationship takes a beating several times in this book. He keeps secrets from Emily and that causes a huge strain on them.

Jonathan- cocky, man whore, lead singer of the band Stricken. He and Emily start out on the wrong foot. But, something happens and he becomes attached. Wanting her only for himself. They begin an emotional journey of love and lust.

I swear I went through so many emotions while reading this story. One minute I am in love with Jonathan and the next I hate him. He truly is a MAN WHORE! I didn't know what Emily was thinking when she would take him back. Several times I wanted to actually cry for her. Like, how many times can he break her f*cking heart!

I am reviewing both books together and I apologize... I read one after the other and it's a continuation of the story....

In book two we follow Emily and Clair's relationship....yes you heard that right.... Emily takes a walk on the Lesbian side and it's just as hot as her sex with Jonathan. Not everyone's cup of tea I know... BUT you have to get through it in order to follow the series. A LOT happens in book two..... I don't do spoilers so I am keeping stuff hush hush.... I personally enjoyed seeing Emily try new things and discover herself. The sweet innocent Emily from the beginning of book one is LONG GONE in book two.

We have James.....Jonathan's bodyguard who strictly becomes only Emily's body guard and best friend. Jonathan once again F*cks up and makes sure that Emily is protected at all times. I am secretly hoping for a James/Emily hook up.... the licking the peanut butter off the finger scene made my girly parts tingle and I waited and waited for them to get freaky.....

In this book, Emily has to once again deal with the roller coaster of a relationship with Jonathan. That man just can't keep his shit together. He ends up at the end of book one in rehab and once he gets out in book two we think he has finally changed and truly means it and means it when he says he loves Emily..... The boy has some serious shit going on in that head of his from his past. The nightmares return when he is going through his off again stages with Emily. I pray he gets his shit together in the next book. I have rooted for them the entire two books....and yet.... I think James is a better fit for her although he in no way...... tries anything romantic with Emily.... =(

I don't think her pursuing a real relationship with Claire is what is best for her. I feel though, that Claire is becoming too attached and could cause problems later..... and problems seem to follow Emily and Jonathan. Mostly because of Jonathan.

I always say that when I do reviews it's often hard. Because I don't like to give away spoilers. I like the readers to fall in love or hate with the book on their own. I want them to feel the emotions I felt when I read a book. This book is worth giving a chance. I've read a lot of people talk about the editing issues etc and you can get past all that. It wasn't that big a deal to me. I was captured by the characters and pulled in immediately. I was taken on one hell of a roller coaster ride. My heart ached for Emily many times. I wanted to love Jonathan but often hated him. I mean lets face it... it's a rock n roll love story. We know what happens with those cocky ass rock stars. They can't get their shit together or keep their "anaconda dicks" in their pants =) We see Emily go through her own personal changes and struggles. We meet several characters along the way that we fall in love with.

I am torn though..... like in this one during this one particular scene (the plane) my heart freaking ACHED for Emily. I was at that moment DONE with Jonathan. So, that left me TORN..... do I continue to believe that he can change and the two of them get their HEA or do I continue to secretly pull for a romance and HEA with her and James. Trust me ya'll... you will understand my Love of James when you read this series.

Another thing I often say... I may give a book 5 stars and someone behind me that reads it will hate it and give it 2. We each have our own opinions. I personally think this new author ROCKED it and I give this series 5 stars. I loved it.... loved it so much at the end of book two I was on a book high..... wishing I had my hands on the next one.

I have purposely left out some major shit that happens because I DON"T DO SPOILERS.... some of it will make sense and you will understand a lot of my hate towards Jonathan and the love I have for James once you read it......

So, if you love the rock stars like I do... go one click and give this author a chance.

Love this series! It hooked me in from the very start. It was so suspenseful and captivating I couldn't drop the book and ended up reading the entire series in two days! I love how it kept me guessing with the whole story line and how everything plans out but I couldn't picture it any other way unlike other books where you can tell from the beginning how it ends. So much drama and hot scenes! I loved it! Definitely a must read.

I just finished Stricken Desire and I liked it. Jonathan and Emily are cute together but I'm not sure if there will be a happy ending. They are good for each other but not. Emily is now working for her friend Stacy and he is the manager of Stricken and is needing help so he signs on Emily as co manager. Stricken is now becoming very famous and Jonathan the main singer is exactly what you think he is. A man whore that is living it up. Emily can call it like she sees it so she wants nothing to do with him and wants only to do her job well. But what happens when tempers flare and there is a lot of sexual tension? Exactly what you are thinking but you have to read it to see how it goes...

I really liked the story and I thought it flowed really well. It is about rock stars so you know that it is going to be raunchy and sexy, what rock star story isn't? I think Jonathan is super sexy and has a lot of things going for him, he does have some cons but what bad boy doesn't? To me at times I thought he was a little whiny and just wanted him to man up. Yes, I know men are sensitive but thought he came across a bit to much at times. Is he still sexy to me, oh yeah but he for me needed to tone it down a bit. Emily is awesome. Exactly how Jonathan describes her, short stack, feisty, and sexy. I love how she sticks up for her self and just doesn't take anyone crap, especially him. The chemistry between them to is hot and it sizzles through out the pages and I am hoping that things will settle down between them but who knows.

I liked the secondary characters, no matter how raunchy some were. This is a story, not real life so I don't have to buddy up with them but at times I was like wow, did they just say that! I liked Stacy, and thought that he was a good friend to have in her corner. Emily is definitely going to need it for what is to come.

For my taste (and I can take a lot) it was a lot to take, did it take away from the story, a little but Im invested and want to see what happens. Again, it was an enjoyable read and I think you might like it too.

***I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review***

Emily Browyn has been best friends with Stacy since high school, so when she was asked to help manage Stricken, one of the most popular rock bands around, she dives head first into it. Emily soon realizes managing a band is not anything like working PR at an ad agency, and her smart sassy mouth helps her gain respect from the band. Emily demands to be respected and doesn’t take anything from anyone, including Jonathan Sticken’s lead singer. Jonathan is a womanizing man-whore, who takes what he wants, does what he wants, and doesn’t care about the damage being done until its too late. Stricken Desires tells the story of Emily and Jonathans whirlwind romance and heartache.

I first started this book and instantly got sucked into Emily’s world. I am a huge fan of rocker books, and was extremely glad I was able to get my hands on this one. Emily is the type of heroine I love. She has a smart and sassy attitude; she takes no crap from anyone and has a level head on her shoulders. She can be bossy and demanding at times, but also shows her ability to be caring and humble. Jonathan is one of those characters you don’t want to like but somehow he still winds up getting into your head. The only negative thing I can say about this book would be the editing and grammar. I am not a huge grammar person, but there are issues with this book. I would strongly recommend people to look past that, or wait until the re-edited version comes out, and read this book!! This book sucks you into a rocker filled fantasy that is sure to get your blood pumping, and your heart thumping.

Error: Page 6: could care less rather than couldn't care less

Error: Page 7: “Stricken's drummer enters first, playing around with his bright purple set. Which drives the crowd wilder and they all move forward to get a few inches closer.” If you're using "which" why is this two sentences? This kind of error continues throughout the book, with sentence fragments and phrases passing as complete sentences.

Error: The use of "eludes" in a sentence on page 73 where I think the writer wanted to use 'emits".

Error: “I advert my full attention to big dickhead and Stacy.” Wanted to use avert

Emily doesn’t like Johnathan and the feeling seems to be mutual.
However, within days (or is it hours?) of calling a truce he shows up in her hotel room with some cheesy lines, professing his undying love for her and they have sex. WTF?? The next day it’s back to the animosity because she hears some really unpleasant things about him. WTF did she expect? How can Emily not now that her best friend of 10 years is gay and was in rehab??? So unbelievable.

How can licking your lips loudly be seductive? Sounds sloppy to me.

I dislike the degrading manner in which Emily thinks and speaks of the fans. Being so disdainful I think she shouldn't be in such atmosphere.

Why does she keep going on and repeating how hot Stacy is?

Being at a show crowded with sweaty bodies is nasty, but putting your clothes into a drawer previously stuffed with dirty panties from a multitude of women is funny?

This book has countless errors. I logged 39 errors at https://kindle.amazon.com/. There is so much more, but I just got tired. This crap shouldn’t have been published.

Well this started out really good, it even had me cracking up! But in the end it just lost its appeal to me, but I will be reading the rest of this series cause I do want to know what happens!

Emily ~ She is so much of a bitch but not in a bad way! Like I would love to have her for a friend! Oh when she punched Johnathan I cracked up laughing! But in all honesty he deserved it after what he said to her! But I do think she just kinda took everyone for their word without actually taking the time to get to know people on her own. Point in case, she took Stacey's word that Johnathan was playing a game with her. She didn't give Johnathan a chance to say his piece! And I seriously think she was in the wrong for not telling him her secret! I mean it affects him too!

Johnathan ~ I do believe he has more issues than we know off. I think we just started to scratch the surface with him. But he is a huge softy when it comes down to it in the end. He uses his cockiness as a shield to hide behind to push away so no one can get too close. I understand as to why he was so confused by Emily she basically promised him one thing only to turn around and tear his heart in two! And in the end I didn't blame him for trying to move one, I mean him and Emily weren't together they were both single so it isn't like he cheated!

Overall its a good book and I loved the first half but I don't know, it was like the second half just fell short for me. But I do want to read the next book to see what happens.

Till next time ~ Sweets Books

Emily & Stacy (Stacy is a guy) are best friends but Stacy is always on the road managing the hottest Rock Band "Stricken". Stacy needs an assistance so he had Emily come work for him but he has an ulterior motive why he wants her to work with him. The Rock Star life style really isn't Emily's style but he is determined to make a go of it. Living on a bus with a bunch of Hot rock stars is going to be rough but she is tough and will figure out how to deal with it. Emily feels an attraction towards the lead singer Johnathan but she tries to keep her distance since he is a male whore but in a weak moment Johnathan says all the right things and they have an explosive marathon sex session. I was a bit put of that Johnathan was throwing "I love you's" around in such a short time but it would seem that this is his MO to get fiery feisty chicks into his bed. When Emily finds this out he doesn't put up much of a fight when she kicks him to the curb but he seems to be not doing so well nonetheless. Emily get a surprise while home for a break. Things are just out of control after the break Emily's head is all over the place as well as her libido. Johnathan is headed down the wrong path and Emily needs to help save him.
Not a cliff hanger end but there is unfinished business!

I really do love this book. I have read it numerous times and it is one of my favourite rock star books/series.
I love Emily, she is sassy and strong. She doesn’t take no messing. I loved how she put Jonathon in his place. I will happily admit that I am not a fan of Jonathon. He annoys me! He is too whiny and clingy. Emily deserves sainthood for putting up with his crap.

When Emily’s best friend, Stacy asks her for help, she happily accepts. But when she arrives at her new job on the stricken tour bus, she gets more than she bargains for! In the form of lead singer Jonathon Stryker. From the first step onto the bus, Jonathon taunted her and belittled her. Emily is quick to put him in his place, and the tour goes on. But it isn’t long before Emily is falling for Jonathon’s charm. After a night of passion with the sexy lead singer, Emily is soon enlightened to his lies. Heading home with Stacy, Emily soon finds out that she is pregnant. Back on tour, it soon comes to light that Jonathon has slipped into his old ways. Winding up back in rehab! It isn’t till after he has left rehab, that he finds out about becoming a father. Although Jonathon claims that he loves Emily, will he mess it up? Will Emily give up on Jonathon?

P.s I LOVE JAMES! FAVOURITE MALE CHARACTER BY FAR!

At first, after reading the previous reviews posted, I knew this book wouldn't offer a HEA. But as an avid reader, I was fine with that. It definitely kept my attention though, and made me laugh so hard a few times that I almost cried! I can’t wait to read the next book.

The rock and roll part of the book was relatively mild; it focuses more on Emily’s relationship with everyone in her life. And I love her mom, even though she isn't mentioned in the book too much. I think that most of us could only hope to have a mom as sweet! Stacy, her best friend, is one of those kinds of men I wish I was best friends with. Everyone could use a Stacy in their lives. The best part about the book is the good mix between heated sexual tension and story line.

I must have gotten an updated version of the book because as I didn't notice many errors at all (that I've seen others complain about.) Overall I found it well-written and I’m excited to see where this series heads!

I like the storyline, and she has done a pretty good job of developing the characters.

I am halfway through, and I want to know how Emily and Jonathan end up. However, it is more than a couple of missing commas. The author needs to find someone to edit and fix the overall grammar. There is a difference between THERE and THEIR and THEY'RE. WHO'S means who is like "Who's going to the store?" When you want to know WHOSE coat is on the floor you use WHOSE. Run on sentences and fragments are screwing with her content and meaning. I am also confused about her mom. Earlier in the book she described her as red like Emily but without the freckles. Now, when she and Stacy go home for the break, she describes her with brown hair? Occasionally she calls Duncan Deacon with no explanation.

Once again, I love the storyline, and this seems to be the author's strength, but she needs some serious help with the sentence structure and writing.
