Betting on You by Sydney Landon is a companion novella to her popular Danvers -series. To me, this novella didn't match the full novels in this series at all, but it's still a fairly good quick escape from real life.

We have met Seth previously as Beth's date from her online dating service. Seth thought he and Beth could have started something, but as you might know/remember (view spoiler) Ever since then, Seth has been focused on h

I just picked up this of the Danvers series bit late after I had finished the no 5 book, but I just had to read it as I have so enjoyed the whole series so far. This book involving Seth and Mia was amazing. Just so beautiful, sex and romantic. Just a short dose of excitement while I'm just so enjoying this most adorable series. I just can't stop reading them. They're so much fun!!

**3.5 Stars**

Betting on You was a fun and easy read; it was fast paced so you can count on this story to move along quickly without dragging. There was also a nice development of the characters which I enjoyed. Mia and Seth had a nice mix of chemistry and compatibility which was nice to read about. The sex was also steamy and well-written. I was actually taken by surprise at how hot the sex was...not that I'm complaining. I was just expecting less heat for some reason.

So why a 3.5 star rating?

I had remembered Seth from Beth's book. So it was great to see his story.

Although BETTING ON YOU is the latest entry in Sydney Landon’s popular Danvers series, the connection between its hero and heroine with the rest of the series is tenuous, at best.

Seth is the charming and successful local businessman from FALLING FOR YOU (book 3) who was used by Beth to make Declan jealous after their relationship-ending fight. Mia is a new character to the series, introduced as an IT spec

What starts off as a date bought by her mother turns into something wonderful only if he realizes that there could be more between them.

I like a book that grabs my attention from the start. Sure this is just a novella and they are usually short but it was still a great read. Since I read Fighting for You I have been addicted to the Danvers Series and have been trying to catch up in the series. So I was fortunate to get an ARC of the latest book of Ms. Landon and believe me I wasn’t disappointed.

4, but could have been 5 star review

Mia is a socialite who has never embraced the life. She has gone to college and worked hard at Danvers in it's IT department. She has been assigned a great project working at Oceanix Resort. Her contact their is Seth Jackson. The two are definitely attracted to each other and due to some meddling on her mother's part, Mia finds herself sharing an intimate meal with Seth. Due to the work situation, further interactions are almost strictly business and both are

Seriously how the hell did I miss this one?

We quickly met Seth Jackson during Beth and Nick's story during an hilarious yet brief dinner organised through a dating site. Once Seth found out Beth was pregnant with Nick 's baby he shot out of the restaurant and away from anything Danvers.

That is until his family decides to upgrade their systems at Oceanix resort and it is given to Danvers to build. Enter Mia Gentry, one of the best from Danvers to head up their upgrade. Mia comes from money but

Betting On You is the novella following the fourth novel, Fighting For You, in the Danvers series in which could be read as a standalone novel too. Betting On You left me wanting more than just a novella, Sydney Landon’s Danvers series is WONDERFUL and always ready to read any of her novels.

The biggest problem with Sydney Landon's Betting on You was that it was a novella. Greedy readers, such as myself, will just want more. Such is the calibre and talent of Sydney Landon. So, be prepared to strap yourself in for a short, sweet, a little naughty and sexy romp.

Seth Jackson is one of those gorgeous, ostensibly quiet and reserved Heros. He had a previous, brief entanglement with Danvers International, and would soon meet a woman who would knock him for six, both in and out of the b

I absolutely adore the Danvers series and this novella was a perfection addition to the series.

It was a quick fun read with some new characters.

Seth was briefly in book 3 Fall For Me but here he is the main character. A typical billionaire bachelor ladies man who was looking for a relationship but once burned by Beth so is a little gun shy. But the minute he sees Mia bent over he and his little buddy are instan

I'm a big fan of Sydney Landon's Danvers series and the only thing wrong with Betting on You is that it was a novella!

Seth Jackson is a man who doesn't like entanglements. He's good at his job, has more money than most know what to do with and is drop dead gorgeous. His life is moving along just as he likes it, leaving him totally unattached, until Mia Gentry comes along to install a security system.

For Mia, she has always been a tech geek that grew up with parents who wanted her to do anything

Betting on You is a story I really enjoyed. I really like Mia (and her shoes), which you will understand when you read the novel. Mia and Seth were both introduced in previous books in the series, and though I've not read them all yet, and have read them out of order, it was easy to follow along, as they read as companion novels and not really sequels.

Mia's character is really fun and I enjoyed her a lot. Her inner rants were hilarious at times. I also liked Seth. He seemed a little insecure in

*insert fart noise* <--THAT is my opinion of this book. Up until now these books had been getting 4 and 5 star reviews from me, and I was so excited for another Danvers book - only to read this one, and see that he cheats on her. And for those who say what he did isn't cheating, and there's nothing wrong with what he did, please ask yourselves: If he was doing nothing wrong, why did he feel so guilty even before it happened? Huh?

What a great addition to the Danvers series! I had forgotten about Seth from Nick & Beth's story, and I really enjoyed reading about him and Mia. This was a fast-paced novella, and a quick read for me. These characters had great chemistry from the moment they met, and they had a hard time denying it. Working together caused them to hold back on the physical side of things, despite the tension that resides between them. But, this results in them actually getting to know each other and finding som ...more
This is the story of Mia and Seth. Seth was first introduced in Beth's story. Beth went on date with Seth only for it to end with Nick interrupting and spilling the beans of Beth being pregnant with his child.

Mia is a new character. She's quirky, independent, and self confident. She works in the tech department at Danvers. She gets put on a job at the resort Seth owns and there is an instant connection. Her wealthy parents see the two on a friendly lunch and Mia's mother launches a plan to get t

Ok, so the writing for this book is a 5, but because of the ending, I have to make it a 3.

I may have gone into this a little annoyed because I did not know it was a novella, I paid $3.79 then I find out its 90 pages. But I like this series, so I figured what the hell, at least I know I won't be disappointed. I was wrong, but let me explain. I was not disappointed in the writing or the story for the first 80% of the book. The author did a wonderful job setting the scene, building the stor

I just finished reading “Betting on You” by the amazing Sydney Landon. This Novella of Sydney’s is another great book in the Danvers’ series! You will love the story of Mia and Seth. Seth Jackson is an amazingly handsome billionaire who hires someone from Danvers to work on the latest project at Oceanix Resort. When Mia Gentry shows up sparks begin to fly between the two of them. Both thinking they have to keep this relationship on a business level, never expect Mia’s manipulative mother to buy

"Her mother bought her a man." That was part of the fun and awkwardness that was the catalyst for Seth and Mia's first date. I enjoyed the twist on the charity bachelor auction. I enjoyed that Mia, despite growing up rich, chose to make it on her own at Danvers. Seth's banter with his assistant, Margie, made him seem fun. Mia and Seth together were hot!! Definitely sexy scenes. And the twist with Mia's mom added depth to this novella. Suzy has her outrageous, outspoken say to help the two get to ...more

It was cool seeing Seth's personality since we didn't get to see much of it after Nick dropped the we-live-together-and-she's-pregnant-with-my-child bomb on his date with Beth. At first, I was disappointed, wondering who the !$&@! is Seth but after figuring it out I was a little more intrigued. I liked the book but not as much as any of the other ones. I wasn't into it as much at all. I felt like it progressed really fast - one day they're talking, the next they're doing the do and then all of a ...more

Sydney rocks the Danvers world with this novella! Mia is a RIOT! "She stepped off at the sixth floor into the hub of the installation and support department for Danvers International. This place was heaven for a geek such as herself."

I love that Mia has a girl crush on the abrasive and sassy, Suzy. Here idolizing that woman just makes me giggle. And then how Seth meets her is too funny also. "When she continued to shimmy and kept singing , "I'm sexy and I know it," he thought he had possibly di

I have really enjoyed every book of Sydney Landon’s Danver’s series and she did not disappoint with this novella. While I love her full-length publications, I still got what I have come to expect from Landon: a fun story line, sexy characters, and a happy ending – all in a tiny package. It was the perfect book choice for the time I had available. It was a short, quick read, with full-length power. I d

Didn't realize this was a novella till I purchased it. Was a little disappointed since I waited quite some time since reading the last book for the next book in this series. Seth's story was a surprise since he's just a secondary character. Of coz it was nice that he has his story even if it was shorter one.

I got confused with Mia as I was trying to link her with the Danvers or the Merimons and realized she was neither. I love that she is sassy, independent and confident. Liked how the relation
