Ok so for anybody that read the daddy's girls series will know this is a prequel novella to restore my heart. An inside peek on what Dina suffered before Ryder. Those of you that haven't read the series yet. This will be your starter book. I must tell you now that after you read this you must know that it's very dark and different than the rest of the books in the series but this PRE story needed to be told as dark as it may be. This literally broke my heart to see what Dina went through and suf ...more

I love the back story that Chelsea Camaron gave us on Dina and Ryder in this book. Just WOW!

I should of read this book first before Restore My Heart. But that is my fault. But I am glad I read it because it does answer so much for me.

The first chapter is Ryder's POV. But the rest of the story is told through Dina's POV and it is completely HEARTBREAKING. I mean this book just GUTTED ME.

We were taken on Dina's journey of surviving the loss of he

I have read the entire Daddy's Girls series, and it is one of my all time favorites. Crash and Burn is the prequel to Dina and Ryder's story, Restore My Heart. Crash and Burn is unfortunately real life, happening everyday. It's not an easy read, as there is a lot of pain involved. Sometimes you have to trudge through that pain and ugliness to come out on the other side.
This story is not like the others in the series, but sheds so much light in to Dina. Great job Chelsea!! You bring words to lif

A prequel of the Daddy's girls' series. You really never know what someone goes through in a relationship. If you read the other books in the series this is a must read. You get the dynamic of Ryder and Brayden's pre-love days. You understand the pain Dina went through losing her parents and then her relationship with not only Maggie but Michael. It was emotional and dark. There was the heated moments, the love, the emotion but there was the aspects that you don't see in the usual story line and ...more

O.M.F.G. Chelsea did it again I am speechless don't know what to say. I have read the entire series of Daddy's Girl and I love the books, when I first read restore my heart I was wondering about Dina life with her ex Michael and finally in this book we get to know the hell she when through with Michael. and it was not a good one at that, while reading this story it gave me goose bump I cried I felt the emotion and the hurt that Dina was going through. in this book you get to see the dark side of ...more

Oh Wow...What can I say? I wanted to read this book before I read the second book Return My Heart, and let me tell you! I am so glad it was short! Having lived thru the same type of hell Dina does made it a rough read.
"What would he think of Michael? Would he approves? My Dad was very perceptive. Are there things I'm missing?"
This just warned me of what was to come, and it hurt my heart. No woman should have to experience that kind of hell. "They just don't under stand him like I do" . How many

Nervous as I was when I heard the book was "dark", any fan of the series needed to get Dina's backstory. We knew from book 1 someone hurt her and it was physical. This book tells the emotional tale of that sort of abuse. The elements of abuse are present as well as the love. I know Dina loved Michael and she rationalized his behavior on many occasions. Just read it and get her pov. The next time you hear about Dina and Ryder the story will explode to another level.

This novella is very different from Chelsea's other books.
It is the prequel to The Daddy's Girls Series. It gives us the story of Michael and Dina. It was very difficult to read, but so good at the same time. It gives you insight to where Dina's mindset is at the beginning of Restore My Heart. Grab your tissues.

Oh.... you also get a bonus scene from Ryder too ;)

Crash and Burn

4/5

I picked this book because I liked the cover; I didn't read any blurb, just jumped straight in.
This is a prequel story for a series of books, so I thought yeah I'm starting at the right point, however I was not prepared for what I was about to read.
Dina is young at college an only child, and when her parents are killed in an accident, she has no family left, her best friend Maggie and her brothers and parents are as close to a family as she has got, she is tota

5 emotional, gut wrenching stars!

Crash and Burn is the Prequel novella to the Daddy's Girls Series (Which was AWESOME might I add). The other books in the series are fun and uplifting, but Crash and Burn shows a darker, more emotional part of the story, and of Chelsea's writing. Being that the rest of the books had been written and published first, Chelsea had many people asking for more of a backstory into Dina's life and relationship before Ryder came into the picture. We asked, and Chelsea de

“Life goes on even when we don’t want it to.”
I absolutely LOVED this book. It is the journey of Dina surviving the loss of her parents, and living through the horrors of domestic violence. This book is raw and beautiful. Dina’s story took me to a dark place that lurks inside the soul, but I ignore because it hurts to go there. It is a masterful depiction of an abusive relationship.

Crash and Burn by Chelsea Camaron is a powerful story of loss, friendship and abuse. Dina and Maggie are best friends and become even closer after Dina loses her parents in an accident. Understandably, Dina spirals into a depression. She is all alone in the world except for Maggie and her family. After a long period of keeping to herself, Dina is finally ready to come out of her mourning. On her first outing, she literally runs into Michael, whom she develops a relationship with. This is a prequel novella to the Daddy's Girls Series.
That being said this novella isn't anything like the series. This shows you how Dina and Michael meet, became boyfriend/girlfriend. It shows us the side of Michael the Maggie, Brayden and Ryder hated.
Chelsea stated in the beginning of this novella Broken. Battered. Not defeated. This is not a pretty story, wrapped in a nice package. This is a real story.
Reading that statement and then reading this novella I have to pat her on her back. I am

Wow! This is definitely dark, and something we haven't seen by Chelsea Camaron! And what a story it was. We learn more about Dina and her life after her parents were recklessly taken away from her.

We see how she struggles to come to terms with her loss, and how her trust in men gets taken away from her. You see her innocently fall for a man who seems so nice, and how he slowly starts using her weaknesses against her, before becoming violent.

However, I loved the true message behind it all. Women

OMG...this story was super intense, much different than the other books in the Daddy's Girl Series by Chelsea. This is a novella about Dina and Michael. We get the truth in Dina's POV about their relationship, and it's tragic and inspiring at the same time. She went through hell with him, and he used her every weakness against her, to make her stay with him. She finally realized, with the help of her friends (specifically Ryder) that Michael is a low down dirty snake, and for the sake of her lif ...more

This is a look into Dina's life before Ryder becomes her world. I was heartbroken while reading but it is well worth it. Just a glimpse into Dina's life and the pain she has endured. Michael is prince charming until after they have sex and he becomes controlling, demanding and abusive and he makes Dina think that she brings it all on herself. What has made Michael change and why is he that way? We will never know and it's a good thing too. I think if Michael would have shown up, Ryder would have ...more

Great prequel!!
A quick read.

My questions are finally answered.
This book is the story of Dina and Michael. You should definitely read this before Restore My Heart. I fell for Ryder in book one but wow this book just makes you love him more. Truly a knight in shining armor. I felt that this book allowed me to connect with Dina and understand what exactly she went through. Crash and Burn is very short and a prequel to the start of the Daddy's Girl series. There are some extremely harass and tragic events that take place in the story, but are very necessary to help you better understand the characters as you delve into the series. Those harsh events were painful and heartbreaking to read, but I'm definitely glad I read this one before starting the series.

So far I've read this and book one of the series and plan to continue on. I'm definitely enjoying the character

This is the beginning of Dina's story from Restore My Heart and you have to read this to understand why Dina is the way she is. I'm not going to lie; this book actually brought back some not so happy moments from my past. It wasn't easy to read but it was so damn worth it. I teared up early on and eventually turned into actual crying; yes Chelsea is that good with her writing that Dina becomes you...I hope that makes sense. Ever read a book that is so close to your past, that it has you visualizing your own past as you are reading the words? Crash and Burn did that for me. I was left feeling so deeply connected to this book because I endured very similar things as Dina.

The book flowed smoothly for me, and I feel the author did a wonderful job of writing Dina's back story. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a deep read (and to everyone else as well). I read it in one sitting and immediately went on to r

If you are anything like me, you fell in love with Ryder and Dina in "Restore My Heart (Daddy's Girl #1)". You see Dina as this incredibly strong, independent person, but you wanted to hear more about how she got there. Her past is spoken about, but in the "Crash And Burn" Novella, you get a first hand view of how terrible it really was for her.

This is a good opener for an even better series. The author pushes you junto the life of a lost soul, looking for something in life to grab onto and unfortunately she grasps something that is harmful for her. You go through the emotions with the characters, butterflies, anger, hate, confusion, it's all in here. It gives you that extra insight into the characters before you move on to Restore My Heart.

This book provides the background story of Dina. Even though there is a bonus chapter about Ryder, the story is hers. It explains what she went through and why she reacts the way she does in Restore My Heart. It is a deep and thoughtful story laying bare the raw emotions and experiences that she felt and survived. It is a definite needed addition to the Daddy's Girl series.
