The Gods have come and gone, leaving behind a planet with its cities in ruin, its population cleansed of all but the most beautiful people, and a culture based of village groups. Leon is a scavenger which provides him with a good livelihood and allows him to scout for the best place to establish his community, his harem, his way to begin to repopulate the earth. Just has the gods coming and going have interrupted life on earth, as Leon enters the village, he gets interrupted working on his population scheme.

This erotic tale is definitely male centric, told from the point of view of Leon. The language is clear and well-edited, the dialog natural and the action hot. The sex scenes are well-rounded with plenty of feeling and good description of thought and sensation far beyond the tab a into slot b. It makes for a pleasant reading experience.

In When Dreamers Wake, the apocalypse happened, and the world is left in ruins. Leon is one of the few survivors, and he has to adapt to this new, changing world. It’s not that difficult for him though in this new world. He’s a simple man, with simple needs, and he has his own plan to survive. He wants to start a colony, a new society, and be the ruler with a harem of women beneath him.

The novel is filled with sexual encounters, one even happens in the first ten-or-so pages. Leon doesn’t feel much for these women except desire, with the exception of perhaps Tia. But he’s not afraid to sleep with Tia’s sister, or even have sex with multiple women a day.

That all changes when he meets Adrianna though. He starts developing strong feelings for her, feelings he can barely explain.

I wasn’t that fond of Leon. Maybe because I’m a woman, and the story is rather male-centric, but I didn’t like the way he moved from woman to woman without much commitment. I did like Tia, and I even liked Celia, but Leon…I didn’t really get to know him either. I know how he looks like, what he wants, but his personality remained a mystery for most of the novel. Less sexual counquests, more emotions would’ve worked better for me.

As for the women, Adrianna was by far my favorite character. She had spine, spunk, and wasn’t afraid to say no.

Nevertheless, looking at this book for what it is, the sexual conquests were enjoyable, and the writing is good. It was a pleasant read that even made me laugh at times.

This post-apocalyptic tale is entertaining. Thin on plot, but big on erotic conquests from a male perspective.

The story follows Leon, a scavenger and trader who gets by on his own in a world destroyed by flesh eating dust. Some people survived the dust, but civilization as we know it no longer exists. There is some reference to the old gods having left the damage in their exit of the world.

Leon barters with old world goods to nearby farmer communities that are trying to restore civilization. However, Leon dreams of being the king of his domain with a harem of women. Thus, he embarks on numerous sexual liaisons with about four women.

This book wins on the entertainment factor. Leon’s many sexual engagements are amusing if somewhat overdone.
I loved crazy Celia. Leon’s scenes with this character had me cracking up. Their lovemaking is quite titillating alongside of being hilarious. Leon finds Celia loves a dominant demanding lover. Leon is all too happy to oblige. Needless to say, Leon wants Celia in his harem.

The relationship between Leon and the caring Tia is the one romantic relationship in the book. The love and respect they have for each other adds to their lovemaking scenes.

It's a matter of getting back to the simpler things in life in this post-apocalyptic story, things like safety, food, and sex. Strong and confident Leon secures all of these in spades. When he visits a familiar farming community to trade scavenged goods for fresh food, Leon dreams of gathering a pride of “lionesses” to make a home of his own.

I enjoyed the male POV of this story; it helped me to see that Leon meant it every time he told a woman that he wanted her to live with him for the rest of their days. In my opinion, him saying that to multiple partners doesn’t make it any less romantic. He obviously wants a family.

Yet, his libido takes center stage over his caring nature, which makes the encounters hot and fun to imagine. The revelation that he’s not the straightest guy is also a nice touch. Every partner has a unique relationship with him, and that variety keeps me engaged in the story.

This book was longer than the other works I've read by this author, pleasantly so. Long enough for more than an hour's read, short enough that it didn't drag on.

The story follows a scavenger in a post-apocalyptic world as he tries to carve out a home, and a harem, for himself. The plot is simple, yet was interesting. It seemed sex-scene driven, but not excessive.

As for the sex scenes, they were varied to many tastes, though tied together with a common thread. They ran the gambit from romantic to roughly dominant.

My biggest impression though is even though the story started slowly, by the end I was slamming the “next page” button on my e-reader wanting to find out what happened to various characters. I really hope for a sequel.

TL;DR? “8/10, would bang.”

Can you say "Man Slut?" Leon, the central character of "When Dreamers Wake" is just that and it's a good thing for a very interesting Erotic Post Apocalyptic tale. It's a love pentagon, with Leon at the center. He and other characters are skillfully rendered with the good and the bad so they are multi-dimensional. The sex is hot, often engendering a, well let's say, biological response. Lots of areas of sexual interests are incorporated, from tender moments to rough sex it's in there. There is a touch of magic that adds to the whole story and the "Gods" angle is just darn intriguing. This is a very good read!

After the fall, no one was safe. Nothing was guaranteed. Fresh food would be pleasure. Leon had a plan. He wanted to start over. Everything. He wanted to provide for the best women and start life over and look out for them, provide for them. Give them all the best.
One thing for certain, he gave them the best, of him self. This man had so much energy, I have no idea how he could stand up. Much less the women he was with. He had so much passion and life to give to these women. It was a wonderful book about love and passion and family.

Creative, interesting, thrilling and really sexy in a weird kind of way!!!! I loved this book even if at times i wanted to slap Leon (and worst the women) to be such a player!!!! I am still wondering what happened to fiona and to will and I really would like to know more about Leon's twisted plans!!! In this post Armageddon kind of world, sex and love seems the only real human feelings surviving within its inhabitants!!!! And BRAVO!!! This book mastered the subject way better than a hollywood movie!!!!! I want more :)

Follow Leon as he scavenges for trading goods in a post apocalyptic world. Join him as he has his way with numerous women.
as he move from village to village. Become hypnotized by one those women and fall in love with another particular woman, just as Leon did. This women like's it rough and that makes the sex scenes sizzling hot. The characters are deep & interesting. There's something very primal about the sex scenes.
Lots of sex, but lots of romance too, and though the book doesn't really go too deep into the backgrounds of each character, it goes deep enough to get a handle on each character, and why they act the way they do. Totally enjoyable, one I've reread a couple of times and enjoyed it just as much every time I read it!
As poignant as it is erotic.
This was a very well written story that will draw you in and leave you begging for more.
I've read a few of books from this author and can't wait to read more!

Dystopian adventure in Leon´s POV.
I wanted to love this, but it´s not my cup of tea, so sorry.
A bit too easy on commitment (none), it´s more a free for all with the smexin. Leon goes from bed to bed with the promise of taking care of any babies.
