DARK EDGE: Prequel to the COIL Series whetted my appetite for this series and now Dark Liaison has more than satiated this appetite! As with any satisfying meal that is also delicious and tasty, you want more of this meal. So with the C.O.I.L series. I want more and am so glad that there are 4 more books to continue to more than satisfy me!

This is one action packed, engaging series that keeps you on the edge of your seat, and one you cannot put down. Telbat definitely has the imagination and wr

This series is the best! COIL, an organization which rescues missionaries and other persons being persecuted or in danger, is composed of men and women who are Christians. Many of them previously worked for the CIA and other cover organizations. Of course, this is a fictional organization, although there are similar real ones active in the world today. This is a clean book full of mystery and danger.

Great Christian end-times suspense thriller. I will definitely read more in the COIL series. An ex-CIA agent, turned Christian, runs the COIL network to save Christians in persecuted countries who are in danger. He is a master of disguise. However, evil forces are trying to put the COIL network and Corbin out of business.

It is an age of prophetic strife when spiritual darkness collides with servants of the Cross. Christians worldwide are persecuted on a heightened level, and while no safety see

Though I liked Corban Dowler's character/role, I struggled to understand how simply disarming a foe who was torturing God's servants would improve working/living conditions for either the servant or the people group with whom they were living/working. Also it was - to me - less than chivalrous not to go-after Brandon for physically attacking and injuring his wife Janice and blind daughter Jenna. There were too many demonic, dark places with Abaddon. The professional narration was poorly recorded ...more

Very unique take on a Spy/ undercover operatives novel. The group Coil are former Military, Mossad, CIA opperatives who have given their lives to Christ and now use their unique undercover skills to rescue Missionaries whose lives are in danger. While not using lethal force they disable their enemies using a special gun and a sleeping agent. There is also a strong Spiritual battle element between good and evil. There were a few cheesy parts but the story kept my interest

Great

This book kept me very interested in the lives of the main characters. Couple of twists and turns and a few surprises. You've done it again Mr Telbat. Checking into Book 2 of COIL next. God bless you .

It took a few chapters before I started to like the characters and storyline; ended up really enjoying it. I love the author’s emphasis on relying on God but using the wits God gives to battle the Enemy and his pawns. I didn’t expect the twist - it added quite a punch to the story.

Great story line

Really loved the spy world theme! Never thought about the powers in play His return. Well written story and a very interesting topic!

Great book

Covers sensitive topics in a very Christ honoring way. Makes me wonder how us Americans would face persecutions. Thank you for an inspiring read.

D.I. Telbat is a new author for me and I just love his style. This book Dark Liaison is a book I will cherish and reread. I will read any of D.I.’s other books, because he’s that great of an author.
This story is my favorite kind. It talks about the persecuted church and is a suspense/secret agent type of book. I couldn’t put this book down and I so look forward to book two in the series.
The characters are highly developed and very likable or unlikable. I didn’t know how Dark Liaison was going

Dark Liaison by D.I. Telbat

I enjoyed Dark Liaison, a Christian suspense novel with an unusual premise. The hero is Corban, an ex-CIA agent, who has used his contacts and skills to build an alternative spy agency whose mission is the rescue of suffering saints facing imprisonment, torture, and death in places like North Korea, Guatamala, and China. Satan’s forces, led by Abaddon and his the creepily evil minions are ramping up their attacks on Christians in a last ditch effort to thwart God’s kin

Dark Liaison, while a great suspense novel, also made me think about all of the Christians who, for their faith, suffer persecution, torture, and even death in foreign countries. They know the risks, yet they still go to share the Gospel.

I think Dark Liaison's story was very entertaining and it kept my attention throughout. I love how Corban had so many identities and that COIL didn't kill people - even when someone was trying to kill them.

There was a lot more substance to Dark Liaison than norm

I feel like I'm constantly repeating myself in reviews - it's really hard to find a good Christian suspense author. It's even harder to find one that writes with any depth. And. . . it's about time that I can say I've find a new author that I intend to follow because his books are excellent!

Dark Liaison combines all the suspense and thrill of a classic spy/action novel with a some great messages about Christianity. It also promotes awareness of the persecuted church. This book is well-written: i

The book had its moments of suspense, but equally had moments where the storyline didn't seem to always flow. The characters didn't seem to be fully developed. Corbin, for example; I never had any strong feelings about him. Likewise for his family--they all seemed rather detached from each other emotionally.

The author did a good job of describing the prison break. I waited until I was finished before I viewed the author's hand drawn map, and it was exactly as I had envisioned in my mind as I re

I found 'Dark Liaison' to have a good balance of action, suspense and spiritual content. Telbat has exceptional skill in outlining a relitively complex plot that is easy to follow. At no time did I get lost between scenes as I sometimes do. The characters are normal, everyday people, both good and bad. The action, though sometimes approaching the limits of possibility, is believable. The story line in 'Dark Liaison' somewhat resembles that of the 'Left Behind' series. All in all I found it an ad

Interesting and Exciting thriller... ...something different.
I really enjoyed this book. It is a well written spy thriller, but not along the lines of Bond or Bourne. The story follows a private spy organization on a clandestine mission, dueling with forces such as the CIA, criminal masterminds, and a pure evil enemy. What is different about this story is the connection back to Christian faith, and how a man who once was a natural assassin and experienced field agent would live a life honoring Go

It's hard to criticize Christian fiction, since there's so little of it (aside from Romance). Alas, this novel, while interesting, is full of non sequiturs, implausibilities, good-guy high-tech and bad-guy low-tech, strange spiritual-warfare blindspots, healing miracles, and overall Huhs? that the thrust of the story goes awry. To point out those many cases would require Spoilers, so I'll beg off on that. Suffice it to say, if you're Christian you'll probably like it, because the the writing is ...more

Good Reading

I like a good action book. I'm an Alistair McLean fan and these characters are similar. They have resolve and fortitude. Good story.

The Lord is in control.

Although a world of fiction, the tale rings true. It presents a story that is portents of things to come. Very well written and a great read.
