"Luce you're not that girl, you're the girl, my girl! My world doesn't make much sense without you!"

Danielle did it again!!! I can honestly say I loved this book better then the first one. This book was literally a page turner. I literally could not put it down. I had to know what was happening next. I love all the characters except for like 2 o

Quadruple threat Lucia- Singer/Dancer/Musician/Baker Extraordinaire- adds a new skill to her resume in this release: Mother. Wait, who’s the dad? No, back up- who’s the mom? Because those Mpobo-Riddell girls never like to do anything the easy way, neither question is as easily answered as you might think. But none of that matters- all you need to know is that Marcus Grant and Greg McMullen have a new rival for Lucia’s affections, and the one who handles it best wins.

But what’s that saying about

Continuing on with the characters from the first book, we rejoin the story after two years have passed. While Lucia made a choice of ‘her man’ the one that got away is back and not willing to take no for an answer. While that alone would have made a more compelling story, the author chose to reintroduce all of the other secondary characters that were so unnecessary (in my view) from the first story, serving only to distract from the forward motion of the story.

I was given a free copy in exchange for an honest review. This is book two of the series. It has been two years since Lucia Mpobo- Riddell made her choice between Marcus and Greg the two men in her life. She and her beloved would have been perfectly happy if it wasn't for all the distractions of her past. Her sister Nour's complicated life, plus her own fears and doubts. Greg and Marcus's lives had also been affected that day two years ago in Glascow. One wants her back and the other is fighting ...more

It is often a treat to read the second book in a series, and this one certainly met those expectations. I felt like I knew the characters fairly well, and I still appreciated the cast list she put in the front of the book. Again, I wish that more authors would do this! There was still profanity in the book, and there were some intimate scenes, but I felt that they were less detailed (very glad about that). I found that the author has an excellent understanding of the entertainment industry, and ...more

This is the second book in this series and the whole gang is back. Lucia has chosen her man and it's now 2 years later but the man that she didn't choose is not going to give up, which leaves the man she did choose fighting to keep her. I felt about this novel exactly how I felt about the first one. The story line is good, however the book is just too wordy with too many characters and too much happening. I also feel like the author is stretching to make this a 3 book series. Cute story though w ...more

I received this book from the author for an honest review. The characters are well defined and written. The storyline is great and keeps you wanting more. You still learn more about the family and in this book you get a lot more pov's. There is so much going on with this family and friends and you want to keep reading to find out more and what will happen next. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

I was given this book by author for honest review. Lucia and Greg and Marcus return after 2 years. Lucia is engaged to Greg and Marcus is determined to get her back. But they both have to move over for Cassie. The sisters are all thrown for a loop due to parenting concerns. The songs themselves are amazing. Again with the intermixing of languages with meanings in footnotes (Thank you for that).

This was a good book. The only thing I did not care for was the love triangle. This also has the footnotes for the languages like the first book did. I really like that. The characters and it has a good story. It's good how it felt like the characters grew and do not seem static.

First off, I notice a lot of editing errors in this book. I did win it through the First Reads section though, and it was the first one I've won. For a while I thought that the occasional misstep in wording was attributed to some of the main character's British-ness. I eventually realized that that was not the case.

Anyhow... I didn't read the first book to this series, but I didn't feel like I was missing anything in this book because of it. I didn't relate with the characters very much, though

I'm ashamed to say that there was a time when I would not have chosen to read these books because when I was younger I often would pick books by the cover and I'll be honest, the cover would not have pulled me in. I'm happy to say that I haven't done that in many years because I would have missed out on a library size list of great stories and even better authors, this series included. I was surprised to find as much humor in this triangle themed stories as I did. You don't often find humor in a ...more
