If you had superpowers what would you do?
If it were me I wouldn't do what the heroine does here...
The first book was cute and funny, but this one was just annoying...

It was soooooo good!! I loved the characters, the plot was riveting and I enjoyed the exchanging POV's (it was written well) World-building a tad bit lacking, though. Want the next book!!

Still like it, but continuity errors all over the place, still definitely want the next books!!

I’m a complete super-hero geek so was very excited to get my paws on a super-hero themed romance. There was a lot I really loved about this novella – the main character, Angela, was very relatable to. She was smart, sassy, cynical at times but still trying to do the right thing – you can’t help liking someone who can alternate effortlessly between sweet and kickass! :) I also loved the interplay between her and the rest of her family, the letters ‘home’ at the start of each chapter had a great s ...more

I'm a fan of minions, and this book had depressingly few minions. What it did have was plenty of humor and reactions between Angela & Ty. And very little Shakespeare, despite what the blurb said, much to my enjoyment. If you read book one there are some very minor bits that help flesh out what has happened to each of Dr. Charm & Zephyr Girl's lovely children. They've each gone their own ways and I suspect each book will track a different one.

All in all, a fun read, but not one I'm likely to come

Liana has created a witty must read follow up to Even Villains Fall In Love.
The first book was about Doktor Charm and his four daughters trying to get there mother Zephyr Girl back. It continues with the series good natured view of villains and superheroes, where not everything is always as it seems.

The second book centers around Angela, one of their daughters, who is an empath. While not all of Charm‘s kids chose the side of superheroes or rather rogues since none of them are in the employ of the company (with reason I might add), Angela tries to use her powers for go

1. I adore secret identity stories and romance is one of my favored genres. So I should theoretically enthusiastically embrace romances which feature secret identities. However, most of said romances tend to fall into the same trap of extended secret identity confusion, which sort of saps the plot of all tension because plot-convenient dumbness is frustrating as hell.

2. The hero in this book figured out the identity of the heroine in reasonable time, more or less. But the plot convenient stupidi

Even Villains Go to the Movies is a fantastic followup to the previous book. A sweet romance with humourous dialogue, this is a short, fun read.

Flirty, thrilling fun

Another fabulous installment to the Even Villains seri s. The flirty tension between Angela and her mystery superhero is exquisite!

Originally read January 2014; reread with release of 3rd book of the series July 2015

Book 2 of Liana Brooks Heroes and Villains series does not balance the Superhero Romance as equably as Book 1; in this one the character development took precedence. We meet the quads all grown up; Angela's story is first. I did not like the mechanism the author used to keep us guessing which of the (possible) four men courting were actually superhero-secret identity combinations. But I guess it was necessary, b

I LOVE this series. Ever since I read the first book back in April 2012 after being hooked by the blurb in the 2012 SFR Brigade Pitch Contest, I've been waiting impatiently for book two. As with book one, this is full of excitement, an edge of humor, some smokingly hot sensual scenes that can warm you up yet without any explicit detail, and some serious edge-of-your seat tension to get your pulse racing. Some of the scenes are gut-wrenching emotionally, especially Angela's dealings with traumati ...more

I'm loving this series! Very interesting - to be honest, I liked the first book better, but this one was a good follow-up. I loved getting to know Angela and Arktos! Was it just me or was Delilah named Delia in the first one? Oh well! Sweet and funny and I liked that her power is a mind power, in contrast to the first book, where her mom's was a physical power! The diversity was interesting to see. I'll wait a bit to read the next book though! I don't think I can turn my mind from the sweet, do- ...more

Yes, even villains go to the movies and fall in love.

The author had improved her characterisation and premise in this book. There are more characters, a better plot and better characters. Sadly, the love story itself remained... bland and pretty much at no time I had to guess who Arctos was. At least to me it was obvious.

Best scene was Dr Charming.

I like this author and the content. If I really thought about the editing and some of the transitions between plots, I would probably only give this 3 stars. However, I didn't want to downgrade the series premise or the author's uniqueness just because of that. ...more
