A sensitive if uniformed observer, Only makes a striking impact on George and Alice's marriage, as he watches the family grow and stray in unforseen ...more

Only has a story to tell and its unique and heartwarming. If it doesn't make you look at your own dog in a new way, I would be surprised!

This book starts off with George and Alice, a rather non-descript couple and there life and how Only comes to be in it and what he means to them. As time goes by, you see more and more of what Only thinks about, longs for, dreams for, not unlike anybody else. We follow his adventures and his return home and finally the end, which was the biggest surprise of all

I have to tell you, I'm a big tough guy that likes sports, yelling at my t-v and never crying....this book had me weeping like a little a microwave....phew I had to shed the wussy image somehow there! Great book, and very touching....if you cry easily, either don't read it or have a giant box of tissues handy.

I absolutely loved this book. I read it in one quick afternoon out loud to my parents. We were in tears practically the entire time. Fantastic book.

This book was ok. Not a life-changer. Actually Winston Groom sort of annoys me, but my dad gave me this book so I read it.

This is a spectacular book and I highly recommend it.
If you like Dog tales (no pun intended) this is a cute one but does have a lot of sadness to it. His name made it sometimes difficult in the flow but still a good read.

quick read from the point of view of a dog separated from his family for quite an adventure to be returned for the end of the story.
