Emmie Dark writes colorful, dysfunctional, everyday characters who find themselves in challenging — and generally embarrassing — situations. The conflict is rousing, the heat high, and the result is always a genuine and humorous story that stirs your heart as much as it stirs your blood. Dance With Me cheerfully carries on this Emmie Dark tradition.

Dark peppers her prose with unique character details that make a scene personal and memorable and pull the reader in just that little bit closer. An

A fun and lively read about when life and love don't go according to plan!

*I received an advance copy of this book in return for a review. All thoughts and comments are my own.

Freshly dumped and fired, Polly sets off across the world for a little sightseeing and soul searching. She only planned on relying on Josh to get her out of a small scrape in the marketplace, but, true to form, life didn't seem to feel the need to let her relax. Three countries and three separate hospital visits later, it

Recommends it for: Everyone!
I received an advance copy from the author, and while this is a romance novel, it's not your typical one. From start to finish, the author weaves her story around excellent, very well-defined characters. All the typical romance issues, doubts, and misunderstandings are there, but with an unexpected flair of humor and just the right amount of sadness. Then there is the big misunderstanding which leads Josh to be the one who leaves Polly. With the help of her very best friend, Polly realizes that ...more

**Disclosure** I received an advance copy of this book for review.

I do like romance novels myself though I normally tend to read historicals. I don't venture into contemporary very often.

This contemporary romance served up action, adventure,a touch of comedy and a dash of introspection into familial, and romantic, relationships. The hero was perfectly imperfect and the heroine, while at first blush (wine or otherwise) shallow, proved to be an opposite of the hero and not quite who you think she i

I found this to be a fun read outside my usual genres. If you enjoy romance or chick lit, I recommend it. Particularly for those of you who enjoy traveling and travel writing as I do. Was a fun, fast read with good characters.

*Disclosure: I received an advance copy for review.*

Dance with Me is a great romance read with a wonderful mix of great writing, storyline and characters. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down! The story follows Polly and Josh across a number of destinations as they meet and romance develops. The locations of Guatemala, New Orleans, San Francisco and Australia add to the story and are described in beautiful detail by the author. The main characters are engaging, with just enough flaws to make them interesting, but not too many that yo ...more

After years of writing press releases, employee newsletters and speeches for CEOs and politicians – none of which included any kind of kissing – Emmie Dark finally took to her laptop to write what she wanted to write. She was both amazed and delighted to discover that what came out was sexy, noble heroes who found themselves crossing paths with strong, determined heroines. And plenty of kissing.
