This extensively illustrated book will follow the familiar Haynes Manual style, with down-to-earth text, supported by colour diagrams and photographs, including, where appropriate, step-by-step sequences of cloud and weather system formations. There is increasing interest in learning about how weather systems are formed, what causes variations in the weather, and how to study and predict the movement of weather systems to enable weather forecasting, all which can be found in this book.

I was suspicious when I saw this book had all 5 star reviews, but that’s what I gave it too! I have been interested in meteorology all my life and have read many books on weather (due to my interest in sailing I’m sure). This book is by far the best and most comprehensive I have ever read on the subject. He is an excellent author and his organization and extensive use of charts and pictures really aided my understanding of the material! I learned a lot and will likely reread it again this summer! Highly recommend this book for anyone interested in understanding our weather!
