I'm pretty sure this is meant to be a beginner's book but, although I loved it, I wouldn't recommend it to beginners. The projects are not well explained step-by-step and the page layouts are not easy to follow if you are looking for guidance as to how to do the projects. A variety of techniques are shown, but there was not really any logical order to them. The instructions were very brief, and they often didn't seem to correspond to the right illustration.

But if you already know the basics of sewing and embroidery, then this book is delightful and a wonderful source of inspiration, because the pages are full and colourful, and most of the projects look fun. It was inspiring just looking at all the pretty fabrics and cute embroideries, and great for some delicious crafty eye-candy.
