A hilarious collection of disgustingly true stories that involve being caught off-guard by bodily functions—with embarrassing, cringe-worthy consequences Whether admitted or not, most of people have been caught out at least once in their adult lives by their bodily functions. And everyone has a hideous story about a "friend" who has found themselves in a . . . sticky situation. The stories in this collection have all found their way to the author firsthand, making for one of the most shameful and debasing anthologies you will ever read. From office nightmares to dates from hell, and from moments when it just can't wait to incidents with strangers, this book is guaranteed to have readers crossing their legs in anguish.
I loved this! I don’t know why everyone has rated it lower than 4 stars? I think I’ve been desensitised as my family are quite open and we constantly have many poo, sick, and urine jokes and stories up our sleeves.
I picked this book up from the clearance section as I was waiting in line at a Half-Price Books. I figured that for the 3-ish dollars, it would be worth a laugh. And I was right. Let's first establish this, Caught Short is a book of collected stories about Piss, Sh*t, and Puke. If you are looking for sophisticated writing or high-brow humor, you're looking to the wrong place. But if you love a good poop story, you've come to the right place. Now, being a collection of stories, some are a lot funnier than others, a few of my favorite stories include "Meeting the Parents," "Hide the Poo," and "SOS," and obviously some of these stories just fell "Short." But for the few dollars that I spent on it, I can say that it a worth-while purchase and that if you enjoy hearing about other people's embarrassment, Caught Short is worth a look.
This book has some amusing parts within it. However, I just don't feel the humor makes up for the parts that are just plain gross. If it wasn't in my book challenge, I would have called it quits after the first few pages.
