IF YOU HAVE YET TO READ IN THE STARS, THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS

"I'll never let you go, Tara." "I love you, Adam Lucas Saunders; more than you'll ever know." Well good, because you're mine now and I refuse to let anyone take you away from me, Miss Tara Alexis Wright. I love you, too."

I want to start off by saying if you have not read any of Joan Duszynski's books, what are you waiting for?! You are definitely missing out on some Amazing books. She is one author that you will want to to look out for. Her first book In the Stars was so beautifully written and had my attention throughout the whole book. She does it again with In the Now. I absolutely loved every single thing about this book. From the story to the characters. It is such a beautiful story about friendship, love and finding that one person who makes you want to throw away all your doubts and fears and start living the life you were meant to live.

This book is about Tara and Adam who we are introduced to in the first book In the Stars. The book starts off with Tara and Adam being best friends who both want more from their relationship, but Tara is afraid that if things do not work out she will lose the one person who she loves and cares for deeply. She would rather keep Adam as a friend then lose him forever. Of course Adam thinks differently, he has been waiting for Tara to make the first move. He loves her enough to wait for her. No matter how much time she needs. Their relationship was absolutely beautiful to read. Throughout the book we get to see Tara grow as character, she has to learn to get rid of her doubts and fears and dive head first into the unknown with Adam. She becomes a stronger character who learns to express her self in ways she could've never dreamed possible. Now onto my MAN Adam! Where do i even begin. He is so Sexy, Alpha (in his own way), Protective, Hilarious and so incredibly Sweet to his WOMAN. He knows what he wants and will do whatever needs to be done for that happen. We get to see apart of him we don't get to see in the first book. We learn in this book that he is incredibly talented and is a Motocross rider and works at the Motocross track. Which is so hot by the way. At the beginning of this book Adam is seeing this girl Maggie who is the daughter of the tracks owner where Adam works and rides. She is definitely one of those character's you want to tell to hit the road and never come back. She is someone that Tara always seems to be on the lookout for. We also get to see more of Caroline and Eric in this book which is a major plus. I absolutely adored them in the first book. Caroline is Tara's go to girl whenever she needs to talk. She has become Tara's best friend and is there for her wherever she needs her. We also get to see Eric's big brother protective side come out more in this book which is sweet and entertaining to read. And last but not least we get more of Raleigh. The feisty, talented and funny best friend of Caroline and Tara. She becomes a big part of Tara's life in this book. I can't wait to see what happens with her and if she will get her Prince Charming. I am so happy that we get introduced to Adam's family. His dad was definitely my favorite. So funny and charming. His mom was so sweet and accepts Tara from the very moment they meet. His sister's are so happy when they finally meet Tara, they want more than anything to see Adam's and Tara's relationship grow into something more. All the scenes with his family were a joy to read. Now back to Tara and Adam. They had some of the hottest, sexiest and loving scenes I have read. I love what Joan Duszynski did with their relationship. And the end was perfect. Especially the last couple chapters, it really shows how much they are willing to sacrifice for the people they love. I wanted to seriously give Adam a high freaking five for his actions at the end. LOVED IT. Go Adam. This book will bring you so many awesome feels. Adam had by far the best quotes in this book. Fun Buns and Man/Woman were the best. I also will never look at Blow Pop again without thinking of this book. Cherry Blow Pop anyone?! Yes Please!

Thank you once again Joan Duszynski for sharing Tara and Adam's story with us. I will definitely be reading them again. My recommendation for you is to get on it already and start In the Stars so you can read In the Now. You will NOT be disappointed. Trust Me! Keep a look out for her next book In the Fairytale, Raleigh's story. I have no doubt it will be Amazing!

In the Now is Book 2 of In the Moment Series. You must read these in order. I gave it 5 stars. This book has a tough guy that loves his woman, and a great love story without all the unnecessary heart-aching drama that most couples experience. It is very nice to read a story without having to endure all the drama that most books carry. I fully enjoyed their story just as it was. Some things are explained in this book that were left unknown from book one. You will know what I'm talking about as you read this story.

I feel like I know these characters. Every time I sat down to read I felt like I was calling my best friend to listen to more of her story she was telling me. I can't wait to see what book three is about and how the story continues. I hope you enjoy this series as much as I have and look forward to the continuation.

First of all, if you have not read In The Stars, you need to stop now and go read it.

Done? Ok, good. Proceed.

After I read the final page of this book, I found myself just sitting there, shaking my head, saying "that's it?". So I sat there for a little bit longer, just thinking about it. Then, out of nowhere, it hit me -- "That's It!!!"

Does that make sense to you? Probably not. Let me explain.

Lately, the books I've been reading are full of high octane drama, have a major angst factor and all other kinds of craziness that I thoroughly enjoy.

In The Now does not have those things!

I found myself nitpicking at parts trying to find hidden meanings and clues to some surprise plot twist and trying to force this into that type of stressful, over the top, but fun read. What I realized while I was mulling over this book is that, it has this comfortable normalcy to it. That is what sets it apart from the rest. It just screams "I'm different! Try me!"

What kind of book is In The Now?

Its a beautiful love story about two young people who know what they want and finally decide to take it. Throw in some hot monkey lovin' and there you go.

I can read this book and know right away that these are things that could (and some did) happen to me and my friends. Its kind of like revisiting that time in my own life. Just like with In The Stars, this book feels like an old friend, like going home.

I was 3% into this and I started crying. I wanted to crawl in a hole and curl up in a ball. Now, if this wasn't one of "those" books, why was I crying? Oh well, because I'm insane. Seriously, though, I was crying because since these characters are like my friends, I internalized their heartache and disappointment and it really hit me hard.

Now, all that being said, throw out all of your preconceived notions about Adam and Tara. I really got to know them here, and they are not what I was expecting. They are so much better. Joan's characters speak to me in a way that other characters don't.

Ok, I'm gonna go all Caroline here, and say that there is a song for my feelings towards Joan's books: "These Are My People" by Rodney Atkins

When I started this book, I worried that there wouldn’t be that special element that would make me fall for the characters. It started out as usual, man and woman are friends, and both feel the chemistry between them. Woman fearful if it doesn’t work out she will lose a dear friendship. Man wants woman to make first move and prove she is willing to give it an honest shot.
Then you start to see the characters personalities and you are sucked in. Tara while outwardly could be confused with a meek woman at times, has a fire burning in her for Adam that can’t be put out. She finally decides to make the move and does she ever. Watching her open up and become the equally passionate lover, made this book more enjoyable for me. I don’t like stories when the women are so frightful and timid, even after they get the man.
Adam, what can I say about this sexy Motocross racer? While he balances the gentleman’s behavior of waiting for Tara to decide to give them a chance, he has an alpha protective streak in him that is a mile wide. I laughed out loud numerous times with his commentary, especially his “woman” talk. While he stepped out of bounds many times with Tara, she was able to put him back in his place while he flashed that sexy smile and personality and I melted for him even more.
We had some time to see Eric and Caroline in this book. I think the best part of this book for me was when Eric and Caroline came back early from vacation. Let’s just say Adam and Tara weren’t expecting company but it was at this moment I could truly sense that this group was a family, not only by blood but by love as well. This isn’t going to be your book about millionaires demanding women to be in their lives, flashing money around and drinking high priced drinks. The author gave us a group or people who are down to Earth real, don’t mind getting their hands dirty, mow their own dang yards and are just looking for happiness and comfort while taking care of their “family”.
While the plot might not be original or new to the reader, I think the acceptance and invitation the reader will feel to join this cast is unique. That to me is a sign of great character development and I would highly recommend this book.

This is the second book in the In the Moments Series. I read In The Stars and I really enjoyed it but I loved this one! They are two different stories all together.

Adam and Tara met in the first book and they did have their moments but Tara was not ready to date anyone after what she went through with her ex boyfriend. Instead of dating they became very close friends and there was always a deep connection. Adam tried to date but he knew nothing would be as amazing as being with Tara so nothing would be serious and I will say I wanted to bitch slap someone about 4% in. He was willing to wait to be with her....

Tara decided that it was finally time to see where things can go with Adam. Her fear was that if it did not work out then she would also be losing a friendship. But she couldn't let that fear mess with her future. She had a plan and well it was successful. Once Tara and Adam became one it was Hot! I did not see that coming...Adam is alpha and Tara is a little vixen. These two are can not keep their hand off each other. They have an amazing emotional and sexual connection. Did I mention that Adam is a motocross racer?! And he also a caveman. Love it.

I recommend reading this series and I can not wait to read the next one. I have a feeling I know who the next couple will be and so excited about it.

Quotes:

This day has become your divine intervention, Tara. You need to just start in the new again and show him why it is he's been sticking around so long.

"You're going to be a busy, nasty girl with me, aren't you? I have a feeling you might be one of those closet sex fends. I happen to like that thought about you."

Adam: Grunt....Grunt....me want woman now. Me tug, u tug. We love.

I loved in the Stars and have been looking forward to reading this one. Thank you, Joan!! I really liked Adam in the first book and was so happy when I heard this was Tara and Adam's story! I do have to admit I'm in love with Eric, so I was even happier when he appeared in this story! :)
This story starts out with Tara still being undecided about taking the leap and going for Adam. We know that he wants her, we just have to wait for her to catch up. Adam is hot, sexy and that perfect mix of tough guy and mushy sweetheart. Tara is sweet and a sex goddess! They are perfect for each other. They jumped right into their relationship with hardly any angst and that was a nice change of pace! The sex is steamy and funny at times and the characters are well developed. I loved meeting Adam's family. I wanted to have dinner with them!

"Operation Seduce and Acquire"

"Tara, you were made for me. Do you understand? Just for me. It's perfect."

"Get my food, woman. A man needs his nourishment to keep up with the likes of you." I stop and throw my free hand up on my hip and glare down on him Adam starts to laugh and stands up quickly. "Oh shit. Sorry, Babe. Seriously, I was just kidding; I got it. "

Tara was burned by her high school sweetheart when she caught him cheating, now months later it turned out to be the best thing to ever happen beacuse it brought her, her three best friends. Adam has always wanted to be more than a friend, but Tara was too afraid to put herself back on the line again. Now that she's finally ready will it be too late? With a new girl clinging to Adams side will Tara have lost out on what could possible be her soul mate or will she fight for what she really wants?

Tara is strong and free spirited, even with an over bearing older brother always looking over her shoulder. She is passionate about what she wants to do with her life and fiercely protective of her friends is what makes her such a great person inside and out. Adam is such a sweetie who knows what he wants and once he gets it isn't gonna let is go. The way he is with Tara is amazing and I loved seeinghim take care of her and show her there's no one else. These two together are the perfect match and I loved seeing their story.

I really enjoyed this book. It is now on my top 5 favorite books that I have read since I started reading. Joan did a wonderful joy with showing how strong Tara and Adams relationship was. They have loved each other for a while but Tara was scared to get into a relationship because her last relationship ended badly. There was a lot of drama going on around them and they stayed strong. No matter what happened Tara and Adams love grew stronger. Why I loved this book so much? It's because this story was realistic. Things can happen around you but your relationship can stay strong. This was a feel good read . It warmed my heart and I still have a book hangover from it!! If you have not read In the Stars, I recommend that one! That is the first one in the series!! I love this series!! I also recommend you pick this book up also! You will not be disappointed!! Joan is a wonderful author!!

Let me just say that Joan has done an excellent job on the second installment of the In The Moments Series! Who would have thought that sexy Adam from the coffee shop would be so insanely sexy and alpha male! How we perceive him in the first book is so much different from how he is in this book. He is such a talented motor cross rider, and he has an inner bad boy that you get to see glimpses of through out this book. he is so sexy in this book, and I could not get enough of it.

Tara met Adam through Caroline, and instantly had chemistry with him right away. They have a great dynamic and banter between them. They really heat up the bedroom too. Tara is sexy, funny and determined. She is no ones door mat and has a fire all her own!

I loved the first book, & this is an exceptional addition to the series!!! Joan is definitely a rising star in contemporary romance!

First off let me just say how much I LOVE this autor!!! Her writing is brilliant. I was waiting months for this book, after I read her first book. And this book doesn’t disappoint at all. I love and adore all the characters in her books. They are real and believable, and the emotions also felt so real!!
I love Tara and Adam. Their relationship is amazing, but you know with all relationship comes the drama. LOL. Will they survive this drama? I will not give it away. My favorite character is still Raleigh. I love love love her. I just didn’t want this book to end. And I just Hope Joan continues to write. She is one of my favorite authors and this is one of my favorite books of 2014. So wonderful, it deserves more than 5 stars. Thank you Joan for another great book!!

In the Now is book two of the In the Moments series. We continue the story of Tara and Adam, the handsome and charming barista, who definitely has a thing for Tara. Unfortunately Tara was not ready to move past the pain of her high school ex. With the help of her two fabulous best friends, Tara reaches a point in her life where she is no longer fighting against the past and ready to embrace everything the future holds.
This story was so sweet and sexy. Who knew Adam and Tara would become so explosive together?! This fun light story kept a sweet smile on our face as we recalled our own time of young lust blossoming into love.

We gave it 4 sighs.
We enjoyed a few Arnold Palmers as fresh as the summer's day.

Oh my oh my oh my! Adam you Sexy barista you! While reading In the Stars where everyone meets Adam you get to know him a little as a cute friend of Caroline and Tara's. But, when you hang out with him again in In the Now...oh yes the yummy bursts out! His sexy mouth and the things he does and says. I was smiling a lot while reading it. Shmexy dirt bike man! Oh yeah! Me likey! I love how he takes control right away! Not holding back!
Tara and her kinky self. Love it! She doesn't irritate me like most lead ladies. And I was happy about that. Joan, thanks again and great job! Love ya girlie!
I recommend this book. You need to read "In the Stars" first.

Happy Reading!!

I was given a copy of this series in exchange for an honest review.

This series follows two friends Caroline & Tara as they discover true love.

The first book, In the Stars, focuses Caroline and the second book, In the Now, focuses on Tara. I absolutely love the friendship between these two girls. One of my favorite moments in the books is when they first meet. I love that such a strong friendship could evolve from that. Both books were very well written. I could easily see myself relating to both girls and their situations. I also loved Eric and Adam. The way each relationship played out was realistic and well done. I would definitely recommend this series to a friend.

Loved this book so much. I highly recommend you read book one before you read this one.

This is Tara and Adams story. We met these two in book one but we find out a whole lot more about them in this book. Adam is oh so hot. Who would have thought the coffee shop guy was a fantastic alpha male. Loved Tara. She's been hurt in the pass and is afraid to trust again.
Loved reading about the characters we met in book one:)

If your looking for a really great story then this is it. It was such a relief that these lovely characters didn't go through too much drama to get together. Loved it.

This book was another great read.Tara is a very likable character that I see my self relating to. She had her heart broken and is afraid to let someone else in. Adam has been her friend and not pushing her for more for almost a year. Adam starts dating/sleeping with a girl from his past and Tara is extremely jealous. Crazy exes and overbearing brothers try to keep Adam and Tara apart.

This was well written and a fun and sexy read. I definitely suggest your read this series.

This story contains alot of swoon and melt your panties moments. Like I stated before we are introduced to Tara in Into the Stars when she thought Caroline was with her then boyfriend. We pick up Tara's story at Caroline's mothers wedding. Tara finally decided that she no longer wants to hide her true feelings for Adam. There is a slight problem with that he's with(but not with) another woman. Can she win Adam over without ruining their friendship in the process or will she be heartbroken all over again.

This story for me has a lot of tender moments with Tara and Adam. I liked how Tara decided not to just throw herself at Adam but by winning him over by being honest and straight forward with him with what she wants. That also goes with Adam also, he is very up front with Tara and lets her know that he's in it for the long haul.

Now where there is sexy there is also funny. There are also moments where I laughed out loud at the banter between Adam and Tara, and Tara and Raleigh. Adam can only be described as a big goof ball, but he's also a devoted brother and uncle to two adorable niece and nephew.

I loved the fact that no matter what Tara's insecurities about her own family Adam was there to comfort and reassure her.

Tara's brother Eric can be a bit overbearing and overprotective when it comes to her(please refer to into the stars review lol) but I overlooked that because he is her older brother after all lol.

Now with all the good comes the bad.. Namely Adam's on again off again booty call Marissa. Marissa is your typical girl who was hoping for something more but didn't get the guy. She in my opinion is a major bitch who was clingy and insecure. You really don't get to read much about her in the book but her presence is there and I can see why Tara was hesitant when she was moving forward with Adam.

I loved Tara and Adam's story and did not want it to end. But I know like Caroline and Eric's story continued with In the Now. I know that Tara and Adam's story will continue with Raleigh's *hint hint* story.

If your looking for swoon worthy men and good humor with some drama mixed in. Then In the Now is for you. I will recommend that you read In the Stars first to get Tara's back story and get to know Caroline, Eric and Raleigh.

Before you read my review this has spoilers in it from book one so if you havent read "In The Stars" and dont want a spoiler dont read any further.
I loved this book. Second book in the Moments Series. Great story and was written so well. I stayed with it til I finished it. It was that good. This has some nice hot sex in it and it keeps you wanting more.
Tara has had a bad relatioship with her last boyfriend. He seemed to like to cheat. Shes afraid to get involoved again. She met Adam the day she met Caroline at the coffee shop. She had her eyes closed then and didnt pay any attention to Adam. But Adam notices her but she just isnt giving him the same looks as he is giving her.
Once she sees Adam with Marissa she starts to think twice if she should give into her feelings and give love another chance.
Caroline is her roommate and her best friend and shes in love with Taras brother, Eric. Tara feels selfish at times since she is jealous of the love that Caroline and Eric have for one another. Caroline and Eric are not shy about their love and their sessions in the bedroom. She doesnt like seeing the times when Eric gets sexually aroused with Caroline. Hes her brother and they make her long for a love like this. Tara wants Adam more than anything but she doesnt want to lose the friendship they share. Tara may have been boyfriend free for a while now but not orgasm free. She by no means is a slut but has only had sex with one man, but she does have a strong sexual drive and a nightstand filled with "fill-in boyfriends."
Adam is a very hot and sexy adrenaline junky. He is working at the motorcross track this summer teaching others to ride while he is still competing himself. From this day seeing him at the track Tara has decided to give love a try again. Adam is hot and sexy as hell on the track. And Tara has decided she wants to him to ride her.
Does Adam and Tara give into their desire for one another? You gotta read this. Its hot as hell and will keep your sexual tension on the edge thru the book. It is hot as hell!!! Love the sex in it and love the story. Its funny, sexy and very loving. I give it a 5+ stars. I definitely recommend this is a must read!!! Im so looking forward to the next book. Raleigh's story. I cant wait!

**BETH'S REVIEW**

*2.5 Stars*

In the Now is the second book in the “In the Moments” series and is the story of Tara and Adam. We first meet Tara in the first book, IN the Stars as she is Eric’s Sister and had come to be good friends and roommate with Caroline. Tara is just getting over a break up and now is guarding her heart carefully. There has always been something between Adam and Tara, but it was too soon after the breakup for Tara to act on any of her feelings. That is until Adam shows up with a date that she truly realizes that she wants more with him and puts “Operation Seduce and Acquire” in motion.

I want to start off saying that I did enjoy the first book and was looking forward to this second installment in the series but found myself disappointed in the story right off the bat. I would have loved to see more build up between these two, yes they has been something kind of going on between these two for some time and she has finally decided to act on it but I would have love to seen it. I found things to happen all too fast. She decided to she was going to win him over and as soon as she does, they are together the next day and professing their love, it all felt too insta love for me, which is a real turn off. I also found myself wanting more story and less sex. I love good sex scenes but I found there was more sex than depth to the story. And last, I know they are young adults, just out of high school I believe but I just found parts to be a bit immature and really just didn’t work for me.

Overall it wasn’t a horrible read, a lot of other seemed to really enjoy it, I was just left wanting so much more from the story. I found the storyline fell really flat for me, especially compared to the first book in the series and as much as I wanted to love this book, it just didn’t keep me engaged and found myself skimming a lot of it.

I received a complimentary copy from the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Every now and then we come across a book that is exactly what we need and we didn't even know it. I'm an avid reader of all genres but sometimes we just need sweet. Joan Duszynski is brilliant at giving us the sweet hearts and flowers kind of love story. She gives us sweet with a touch of crazy and a pinch of drama. It's the perfect recipe for a great love story.

In the Now is the second book in the In the Moments Series and falls right in line with In the Stars. Adam and Tara's road to forever is filled with a high speed love affair that blossomed out of true friends. Tara was a broken girl not willing to allow herself to let anyone hold that power over her heart again. Adam was OH MY GOODNESS one of the sweetest men I have ever met. Heart of a lion made completely of gold and the patience of a saint lord knows he needed it. Tara and Adam's story is sweet , cute and full of passion. Adam's patience and desire to open Tara's heart for him was beautiful. Once she realized that's where he was meant to be it was so heartwarming to watch them grow. While it wasn't all hearts and flowers along the way. What would a great love story be with out the crazies and drama to keep us on our toes.

I'm looking forward to In the Fairytale I can't wait to see what's next is in store for this crazy crew.

I liked the story of Adam and Tara. It was a well written new adult novel, as well as friends to lovers scenario.
While I enjoyed In The Now, I thought it was rather flat. A bit too vanilla. One of my peeves in books is too much drama but I think this needed a bit more.
