I am a slut. No worries. I've come to terms with it, and you will too. I’m not one of those girls who thinks she’s too plain, too fat, too skinny, too shy … no, I don’t have that kind of luck. I’m the girl who knows she’s just right for everyone. — Denver

A reputation as a manwhore–with–a–heart–of–gold tends to precede me. But, I don’t do girls with issues, that is until t

Denver Dempsey is happy to leave behind her hometown of Anaconda, Montana. After all being seen as the high school slut is no fun and being listed as a cast out for it is even worse.

To say that she could not handle it is an understatement she usually solved issues with her fist. Maybe I should say she defended herself with her fist, yeah, that’s more accurate.

I'll try to be as brief as possible.
Would I recommend this book? Hell-to-the-no.
Why not, you ask?

First, I don't understand what it is with the whole friends-with-benefits (FWB) plots these days, but it ain't sweet, cute, endearing, or romantic. Like, at all. Maybe for certain people, it is. If that's your fantasy - or reality, I judge you not. Feel free.

However, I think everyone will universally agree that FWB during high school (teens who aren't even 18 yet) engaging in that type of reckle

My mind is blown at the moment. From cover to cover I did not want this story to end. I was sucked in and part of it of them - yes, it's THAT kind of connection.

We meet Denver.. A barrel racing bada$$ and her lifelong best friend Greer who is head over heels in love with Denver. Greer is perfection.. Blonde curly hair. Beautiful blue eyes. Tan skin. HOT MANLY SEX ON A STICK. The problem? Denver has endured a troubled past and believes him to be "too good" for her. An admitted slut-

What did I think? Tough!! I had a love and hate relationship with this book.

Used, just like the title, it is a story about being used. There are three main characters in this book, Greer, Ransom and Denver.

Ooo yeah, it is love triangle, hence it was a difficult for me.... And I ended wanting to kick Denver for keeping those boys in a mess especially Greer.
Let's see,

Greer is the best mate from childhood and he was used by her for causal sex and poor boy, he has feelings from her.

Friendship, Love, Sex, Slut, Whore, First Love, Lies, Betrayals, Cowboys, Pain, Hurt, Romance, Self Worth and Love Triangles pretty much summed USED by Lynetta Halat.

USED by Lynetta Halat left me feeling used and torn. I rarely read books that has love triangles because of the angst and it always messes with my emotions. And usually the one I’m rooting for always gets the short end of the stick. I’m one of those

You know a book is great when you literally devour it in less than a day. It's been 12 hours and i'm still thinking about this book!

I love Denver. She's a pretty strong person for what her life was dealt with. She could have easily been a whiny, feel sorry for me, heroine. But she was a refreshing character. She had goals and ambitions. And a pretty hot best friend..

Greer. {The hot best friend} also, friends with benefits. I didn't agree with their choices when it came to this arrangem

Stop. Breath. Think. Ok. Right. Words. I need to formulate words in order to write this review. A review of a book is suppose to be full of words that help explain why you loved or hated a book. I can't seem to formulate the correct words. Which, we all know I am very good at.

Ok. I think I can do this.

"I'm a slut" those first words of the blurb drew me in. I mean what person admits openly that they are a slut. NO ONE DOES THAT. This girl, Denver, she does. She owns that shit. But
I'm having a hard time even giving three stars for this book. Generally when I read a book that has a heroine that I can't stand I don't feel bad for giving it a lower rating. In this case my three stars are given for the fact that I wanted to finish the book and it was written well.

Slut shaming is pretty common in books these days, but what was different in this book was that most of the slut shaming was coming from the heroine and directed at herself. I never could fully understand her reason

Wow…I’m so torn right now. I am like a bundle of emotions and I'm shaking and at a total loss of what I want to think or do or say. I really almost don’t even know where to begin! Because I think a lot of things, so many things – and some of them are conflicting things and I don’t know how to process that. I live for books that suck me in…I am an emotional reader and books that can completely take me to anothe

Nikki- Wow!! I’m still putting together all the pieces of this book and wondering if I went back and re read it, would I see all the little signs that I seem to have missed?! It just kept surprising me and when you read as many books as we do, it takes something really quite special to do this. I love that I was blindsided . I love that I was so deep into the story that I didn’t see it coming. I love that I was so wrapped up in their little world that I di

Absolutely LOVED this book! There was some mystery, crazy times, crazy situations, betrayal but then funny comebacks, swoonworthy moments and hot romance (and a little bit of a love triangle)! Hold on to your panties because it can be a bit of a bumpy ride in the rodeo life!

Poor Denver has been through shit with life. Her mom's a gold-digging whore, moving from one husband to the next when the money dries up, inevitably the cause to push Denver's dad away from both of them. Denver's dad think sh

Denver Dempsey is a hot mess. She's been told how low she is her whole life so now she actually believes she is a real life slut and that's all she will ever be. I hated how self deprecating she is. I just wanted to shake her and tell her how she's wanted and loved and respected by everyone around her. She's caught in a love triangle between her long time "friend-with-benefits" Greer and the bull rider she's always been

This is the first book I have read by Lynetta Halat and I quite enjoyed it. Used is the story of the love triangle between Denver, Greer and Ransom. It is a story about friendship, love and betrayal. It is also a story about a girl with little to no self worth, who truly believes that she is a slut and will only ever be a slut.

I enjoyed the writing style in this book; it was easy to read and to the point, just how I like it to be. I can't stand it when a writer takes five sentences to say what

New adult love triangle with a western theme. Does not stand alone.

I don’t know how Lynetta keeps doing this, but she has Amazed me once again. No review can do this book justice, it’s just impossible. Every one of her books wraps it’s tendrils around you and USED was no different. I actually find it ironic how much I loved this book considering how the blurb sort of scared me. Not one for promiscuous character, I should have known better than to ever doubt Lynetta, as if she could ever write something

sometimes I wish GoodReads would let us give 1/2 stars because I am torn on giving Used a 3 star rating and a 4 star rating. 3 1/2 stars would be perfect for me.

The book dragged for me for the first 1/2 or so. Between the switching between past and present and the different point of views, I was considering putting the book down and letting it go, but I kept on, hoping that things would change and that it would suck me in. And then it did. Once Ransom stopped fighting his deal with Denver and s
