After the loss of her Dom and first love two years ago, the time has come for Kyla to again allow herself the pleasure of giving up control. She isn’t looking for anything serious yet, just the comforting embrace of rope and a firm hand on her body for the night.

Rope-top Sawyer is extremely skilled and he doesn’t do relationships—but he’s fascinated by the gymnastics instr

I loved this book. I only gave it 4 stars as we were built up with scenes where the mc was going into sub space with having the rope bondage and the Dom brings her back as it's too soon, yet he never lets her go throughout the book. I kept waiting for this to develop and it never did!. I did love some of the sex scenes, but wanted more!. Loved the developing relationship and the conflict of his lack of commitment and her great loss. Great story line, well written.

I started this tonight and realized I've already read it. The more I read the more familiar it sounded. I read several chapters in the beginning and several chapters at the end. It wasn't great, but it didn't suck, so I'll rate it 3 stars and scratch my head wondering what exactly happened in the middle bit.

I am always on the lookout for a steamy read that I can dive into in a hurry. While I enjoy the longer novels that take me away from the world for days at a time, there is something to be said for those quickies that can draw you in and melt your heart when you have a few hours to spare. Up in Knots is one such book. A story of love lost and hope found, Up in Knots will have you longing to be “

It's a great book , well written. Kayla still mourns over her dead husband and Sawyer is a guy who only wants a one night stand. I love the sex scenes and the bondage in the club. I think it's really gentleman of Sawyer to go and meet Kyla's family and brave of him to admit his mistakes.

I exchanged this honest review for a free copy of this book.

I quite enjoyed WICKED WEEKEND, the first book in Gillian Archer’s Pleasure Code series, so I was glad to see the series would continue with Sawyer, the snarky and infamous rope bondage expert who was the good friend of Jamie, the hero in that first book. Best of all, UP IN KNOTS is a full-length book (unlike the previous novella) so I was excited at the prospect of reading a fully realized romance from

After reading a couple of disappointing BDSM novels, I was ready for a change of pace. Up in Knots piqued my interest because it was about a heroine who was already into the lifestyle. She was an ingenue who needed to be introduced and taught.

Kyla is looking for a new dom. Two years ago her Dom and boyfriend died and Kyla hasn’t felt ready emotionally to get back in to the lifestyle. Two years later and she finally feels like she’s ready. Kyla has the prefect Dom in mind. Sawyer has a great repu

This book was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review.
Kyla Grant has been in a BDSM relationship before. Unfortunately Adam died two years ago. She has tried vanilla relationships but they are just not cutting in for her. Not giving her that extra thrill that she is missing. Kyla has done her research and she is lusting over Mr Rope Top, Sawyer, he is the man of her dreams. He is completely opposite of Adam and has a reputation for not doing relationships. Perfect.

Kyla is finally ready to get back into the BDSM scene after her Dom passed away 2 years ago.  She's not looking for a commitment, so she knows just who she wants to top her for her first time.  Sawyer is a Dom well known for his rope work.  It's at one of his seminars that Kyla first approaches him.  Because neither Sawyer nor Kyla is looking for anything long term, Sawyer agrees to top Kyla and

Original Review Published here:

Kyla is a strong woman who is recovering from the loss of her Dom and what she thought was the love of her life. She has remained firmly out of the scene and is now only just ready to reenter. You have to admire how brave she is to acknowledge what she needs and finds a way to fulfill those needs without doing the same types of scenes she did in the past.

Sawyer is a very skilled Dom. He do

I was enthralled with book 1, Wicked Weekend, but reading book 2, Up in Knots, I felt a bit disappointed. For me, I was not connecting to the story or characters. In the beginning, the way Kyla and Sawyer meet, it ignited a fire in me and got me a bit excited, but reading more that spark within me died as I couldn't connect.

Kyla is getting over the death of her b
The blurb for Up In Knots sounded really great, but I think my expectations might have been a bit too high. Now I'm not saying it was a bad read, not in the least, because it was a decent one. I think that the beginning started out really hot, and I loved all of the characters. I was really looking forward to the way the relationship was going to develop between Kyla & Sawyer, but unfortunately somewhere towards the middle I think it took a wrong turn. I've been racking my brain to figure out ho ...more

Huh....I liked this book and definitely enjoyed Sawyer!!! He sounded delicious!! NICe! Kyla definitely has a past and the fact that her Dom was good to her and died suddenly is understandable with how she is dealing with things. Sawyer is something new that we would like to try as he is a bondage rope expert in I am assuming shibari. She decides to touch base in the BDSM community as it has been two years since she has had any contact with friends. She and Sawyer decide it is no strings attached ...more

After the tragic loss of her Dom, Kyla has decided she needs to get back into the BDSM world and try to move on with her life. While she knows just who she will go to, she knows that Sawyer is only a means to get her back into the world. Sawyer does not take on Submissives for relationships. Which actually is one of the reasons she has selected Sawyer. However, the best laid plans go awry very soon after their first meeting.
Both Sawyer and Kyla have emotional baggage to work through. And of cou

If you need a steamy and super sexy romance then this is it. Kyla lost her love/dom 2 years ago and wants to get back in the game and chooses Sawyer for a no ties affair. There are some super hot rope scenes in this one 🔥 .

Sawyer is just one hot beefcake, "Sawyer smiled smugly and stood up. "Don't think about going anywhere when class is over, poppet. You and I are having a longer session with a hell of a lot more privacy. So no ducking out on me." He really is caring, "nope. Not gonna happen." Not when he didn't have a clue what the hell was going on. He grabbed her and pulled her into his side. "See, I have this little rule. No woman is allowed to leave my bed in tears. Unless of course they're those awesome bes ...more

Gillian Archer is a very skilled author. She writes an excellent story with the addition of BDSM themes. Her treatment of the BDSM lifestyle is dignified and matter of fact. The premise of a widow who is only craving a no strings attached relationship was well plotted and at times actually a difficult emotional read. The pacing was even, the characters engaging, and though I did not rear the first book in the series, I was not lost. I will be going back to read book one, and look forward to more ...more
