If you are teaching a unit on the arctic, this is a great supplemental reading featuring many arctic animals from the muskox to the arctic hare.

This book offers a glimpse into life in the Arctic. Several animals are highlighted and basic characteristics of the animals are listed. Our girls noted that humans were considered a threat for most of the animals, although the book really didn't go into the reasons. The illustrations are colorful and realistic. We enjoyed reading this book together, although the writing is a little dry.
