This was such a fun book! This short book is about a variety of children who have pet dogs. The children all think their dog is their best and describe their characteristics that make them the best. The kids also sort of argue with one another about whose dog is the best. I think this is a great book, especially for those who have pets.

"My Dog's the Best" is definitely a beginner read. It would be a great read for a young child who is just learning how to read and sound out words, because it uses very simple, small words. There was not much content to the book, but it did show how each child had a unique dog. Each child's dog was different, and they all loved their dog for their unique characteristics. Although this book was not my favorite, I think that it would be very beneficial for a beginner reader.

A wonderful book that a lot of young children can relate to. One of my favorite books as a kid because the cover dog looked like the dog I had as a child. A level 1 book, it is very easy to translate for the bilingual students. Basic repetition of the same idea, the kids really enjoy reading this book a lot.

This is a scholastic level F reader. The different dog breeds were fun, and you can pick your favorite dog. The poodle and "pompon" gave us pause. I think they meant to write "pompom" a good excuse to pull out the dictionary and look up the word. Looks like a typo in the text.

It is a repetive book. I guess it is good for early readers. (to be used in a reading group) I would say it is just okay.
