Loved this book. All three boys were great characters. Their friendship and hardships felt very real and very "teenage" to me. Growing up is not easy and sometimes being true to yourself is even harder. Ellen Mulholland does a great job of weaving a captivating tale and allowing the reader to feel the angst. A very well written book - you will fly through it.

Birds on a Wire is the story of three boys growing up in the 90s. Matt, Miguel, and Jesse have been friends since they were kids and now they are going through their last few days of junior year and thinking about their future.

I really enjoyed the friendship between these three boys. They look after each other and are like brothers. They are all so different yet they still make this great team together. The three musketeers, what one lacks the other two make up for. Miguel is the macho soccer st

It can't be easy to be a teen these days, but dealing with the stuff these boys have to must even be harder. I think the author does a good job of showing how boys might handle their best friend coming out. I also like how it's set in the 1990s - a nondescript decade that sets a quiet backdrop for explosive secrets. I think boys and girls ages 14 and up would like this.

Everyone deserves a voice in this world, and who's more deserving than a teen struggling to find herself in this world? My stories explore self-acceptance and self-discovery. I'm currently working on a middle grade fantasy and young adult mystery.
