I got an ARC copy from the author, and this is my first ARC, actually. So I was grateful that Olivia sent me this in exchange my honest review.

Jade, 22 yo genius, who got her PhD in biology. (Well, I am 22! Yet I can't imagine how to be so smart like Jade). Jade who uses her brain and relies on theory and knowledge she got, innocently has no idea what it feels to be in love. So when Jade's best friend asked her to assist her research project in Laos, Jade agreed. She knows exactly wh

When I first got into this book I was not sure what this book would be all about. I didn't know if it would be more about sciences, romance, or what to make of it. As I got into it I realized it is about all of it. In this book we meet Jade and Oliver, Oliver is a man who can deal with the tough stuff but still has a heart of gold. Jade is a woman who has grown up in a world that she feels more like a misfit then a person who belongs in it. When Jade agrees to join her best friend Agatha in Thai ...more

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

I loved Jade from start to finish. I found that even with being 250 pages it read like a 100 page book. It is over before you realize it (which is good since I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting). The characters are relatable and the storyline flows steadily. I would recommend this book and look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

I liked this book. It was a quick read and had a nice ending. The first part of the book, for me, was a little slow, but once I got past that it really picked up. It was entertaining to read a story about a girl who is socially awkward find her happy ever after. I will be looking for more books by Olivia Rigal.

OH how I loved this story. It's pure, honest, realistic and true. The characters are memorable and have wonderful personalities. The storyline is a sweet young adult story of a young woman who is a virgin and finds attraction for the first time in her life. The H/h's romance is a little complicated because it begins in a foreign country and they reunite in the states by accident. I wish the story had an epilogue. I did not want the story to end. It was just the beginning for this couple and it w ...more

I received this as an ARC for an honest review.I love this genre a lot. I feel connected to the girl
since I am BBW like her. I liked her characters how the past and present mixed together. I felt sort of like it was what then I got it and it all made sense after I understood some parts which baffled me still nice one and I was sad at the end but hope to see more of this feel like it needs than the end I read I love Olivia work would recommend to everyone

Ok. This book started out great, then it fell flat. It was missing loads of things. Like more input from Jade's best friend. And more information on why Jade and Oliver actually loved each other. Then all of a sudden, he has a daughter. I mean, how old is he? I don't think it was ever mentioned apart from the end where it says he might be somewhere in his thirties??

Jade

I was surprised with Jade's story that it's that far in the future that Oliver ends up as the son of a previous character from another story that was just as loved as Jade's story. Jade is a love at first sight kind of story with a little BT drama.

Good story with a rushed end

Good story. The initial detachment of Jade's describes her well. I liked how she evolved. But the ending of the book was so rushed that It killed my buzz. It was meh... The story deserved better.

Jade is a brilliant twenty-two year-old biologist. Unfortunately, she's spent so much time in her books that she never found the time to develop any social skills, let alone a romantic relationship and is still a virgin. But everything will change once she travels to South East Asia to assist her best friend with a research project. There she will meet Oliver, aka the jade master, a handsome stone expert who will change her life.
The Asian setting is brilliantly depicted and I could easily

Jade by Olivia Rigal is a story about an awkward, introverted genius PhD graduate who travels to Laos to work in a lab with her best friend, Agatha. It’s told in first person and feels like both a travelogue and a confessional. It was well researched and I enjoyed the effort the author took to make biology, medical travel sequences not only realistic, but real to the reader. There is enough of a peek at each characters ‘back story’ to make them more than a cypher, but still mysterious enough to ...more

I received this as an ARC for a honest review in a box set called Alphas Prefer Curves: A Curvy Girl Romance BBW Anthology (Volume One) I will attempt not to post any spoilers but there is always the chance!

This book starts out very descriptive about her childhood, and just rambles on from there in what seems to be a endless ramble about nothing but yet everything. Now, this sounds like its a bad thing but it grows on you and you will start smiling off and on as the story progresses.

This is the first book that I have read by author Olivia Rigal, and I will definitely be reading more. I really enjoyed following Jade on her journey as she discovered that there is more to life then just being highly intelligent. This is a very sweet romance that follows Jade as she discovers life, love and what it means to be happy.

Jade is a genius that has a hard time relating to people. She is trying to figure out her place in life. While doing this, she decides to go spend time

All the adventures, wild lovin, and heartbreak that is packed into this book will keep you glued to the pages. I could not put it down. The characters were realistic. The story flowed well. I hope there will be more to come, as it sort of left off with a feeling that the story was not over. With giving the least amount of spoilers as I can, I will just say that Oliver cowboys up and does the right things then goes after his woman. Which woman, which time, you will have to read and find out. It c ...more

This book had me torn from the beginning. As a fellow plus size girl I know what Jade has lived through her whole life.

At times the story line was very good but at times it really started to annoy me how much she judged herself. It was almost as if she did now leave any room for judgement from anyone else.

I did love this book very much and loved how she was finally seen for the beautiful person she is inside and out.

The story line of this book is definitely one of those that is more in the li

I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Jade is a biologist, work and studying come easy to her. Relationships and dating are another story! On a trip to Southeast Asia to help a friend, Jade meets Oliver a stone expert who is not intimidated by her brains and sees her for what she is a beautiful, smart, feisty, red head. As Jade starts to get comfortable she soon realizes that things are not always as they appear. This was a great story, I really enjoyed it. Ms. R

I received a copy of this book from the author.

Jade is a 22 year old virgin. She does better with getting degrees than with people. Unfortunately being so smart, she lacks people skills.

When her best friend asks her to go to Laos, Jade meets Oliver. Oliver is not like anyone Jade as ever meet. Oliver is "The Jade Master", will he be able to master her?

I really enjoyed this book. I would have liked an epilogue to find out just a bit more to the ending.

Disappointing!!!!!!!

Disappointing!!!!!!!

I truly feel like I wasted my money on this junk. The storyline was confusing and boring. It just went on and on about nothing there was nothing interesting in the first five to nine chapters. When reading nothing about the characters linked them together and a lot about certain characters was left unexplainable. I'm not use to given low reviews but this one doesn't deserves a one.

Jade is a super smart girl. She is socially outcast because of her intelligence. She goes to join her friend in a biology lab and finds Oliver. He is of all things an expert in Jade and mining. They hit it off but things get interesting when Oliver's past comes crashing in, in the form of a pregnant wife. Now Jade is heartbroken and leaves to continue her life back in the states. Little does she know but Oliver is coming after her. Nice story
