Unwrapped was short and sweet at just 117 pages it takes less than a couple of hours to satisfy a romance craving.

After being raised by a strict grandmother, kindergarten teacher Sarah Larsen hasn’t had much experience in the romance department. In fact, she’s still a virgin at the age of thirty. Sarah feels it’s time to finally let go of her inhibitions and “let loose”, and she intends to do that by picking up a man and having her wicked way with him. Walker seems like the perfect candidate! Quite a few people whose opinions I respect rave about Maisey Yates, so when I saw her name come up attached to a Netgalley title, I eagerly hit "request." Alas, turns out that UNWRAPPED is a novella, one that suffers from underdeveloped novel syndrome. Good girl kindergarten teacher Sarah Larsen, raised by her strict grandmother, has reached the age of thirty without ever having had sex. Tonight, she's at the local bar, hoping to change that embarrassing fact. In walks

Novella's tend to be hit or miss with me. I think I'm just a novel kind of girl but I always feel like I wanted more somehow with a novella.

That's how I felt with this one. I enjoyed the premise a lot. Sarah Larsen has a strange upbringing that has her thirty and never even kissed. She's ready for that to change. The one stranger she happens on in this small town will work perfectly. Except his has some serious baggage. But they fit together. They work together. He helps her find herself sexuall

Unwrapped I received a digital copy from Berkley and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Unwrapped is an excellent read for any time of the year holiday or not. I really enjoyed getting to watch Sarah and Walker go through the stages of coping, adapting, changing and blossoming as they both transitioned from the positions they found themselves in before they met to when they reunited and realized that a one night stand wouldn't be enough for them. I liked getting to see them as they grew ...more

I really enjoyed this one! It's a fun novella that is well written a has some great characters. Sarah has always been the good girl and decides just once she wants to be a little bad. That's where Walker Callahan, new to Silver Creek, can help her out, for just one night. But when they discover Sarah is the kindergarten teacher for Walker's daughter, things get awkward! Again, this is a fun light read that will entertain you for an afternoon. I enjoyed it and I bet you will too. I recommend it.

I shouldn't have done it. I just shouldn't have clicked "borrow" from the library. This was a two-star read for me although I'm giving it three because honestly I've just read too many Maisey Yates books in too-rapid succession; it's not a flaw in the writing, I'm just Yates-ed out. In every Maisey Yates book, the man, no matter how gung-ho he is about the prospect of a romance/relationship/marriage - even if it be to the point of blackmailing the heroine into one! - gets cold feet, and the hero ...more

this was a very good short story I like how all the short stories in this series are connected by the characters and the full length novels in the series are connected by the same characters.

I almost didn’t read Unwrapped. It was a little feel good Christmas time novella added at the end of the Silver Creek book series. Christmas was two months in my review mirror and I was anxious to start the Copper Ridge Series as I suspect the Silver Spring series was the prototype for that series based upon the fact both are centered upon Oregon ranching communities and families, the Copper Ridge Series was written after the Silver Springs series and the author is still adding books to the Copp ...more

Unwrapped is a sweet little holiday romance from Maisey Yates. It is a part of the Silver Creek series but can be read as a standalone. Readers looking for a quick holiday read that will leave them smiling and feeling full of the Christmas spirit will love this one. When a mild mannered kindergarten teacher decides to have her first one night stand, she doesn't expect to see her 'lover' later showing up in her classroom.

Sarah Larsen was dumped on her grandma when she was young. So young, in fact that she can’t even remember her mother. But it wasn’t a perfect life. Her grandmother cared for her out of obligation more than anything else and it wasn’t a loving home. But her grandmother kept her in line, telling her all about the sins of the flesh and how a man could ruin her. Which could explain why she finds herself to be a virgin at the

I love short reads, it’s sometimes difficult to find good ones, but Unwrapped is indeed an early Christmas present.

Unwrapped by Maisey Yates is a sweet and sexy holiday romance between two people whose fling unexpectedly turns into so much more. This fast-paced and engaging novella is a journey of self-discovery for Sarah Larsen whereas Walker Callahan must decide whether or not to risk his heart again on love. This lovely addition to the Silver Creek series can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend the other books in the series as well.

I was gifted this book by Netgalley and the publisher (in exchange for a fair review).

Unwrapped by Maisey Yates is a sweet, dare I say dreamy novella. This is a holiday book but Yates give us so much more, she give us a little steam and fun.

I loved both of the main characters, Sarah and Walker... Yes I love Walker, sweet, sweet Walker. First, let's talk about Sarah. She is 30, kindergarten teacher and a virgin due to brainwashing. I call them as I see them. Yes, she is 30, yada yada yada... I kn

When I started reading this book and realized that the heroine, Sarah, is a virgin, I thought: Gahhh the heroine is a virgin. I hope I can survive this. Then not long after that, I thought: Hmmm, well, Sarah is funny and kind of cute. And Walker is all smoldering hotness. Yes, I think I'll make it through this story after all.

This novella gets straight to the action, of which I definitely approve! Although it's a rather short story, it packs quite a bit of depth and emotion into the plot and ch

Unwrapped is one of those sexy, holiday reads that you aren't expecting to be as good as it was. I don't overly care for holiday books most of the time because the plot tends to repeat and the romance is always on the sweeter side. Well, Yates convinced me that such theme books can be sexy and the plots can be changed into something of pure entertainment!

There are a few flaws that I have with this book. The biggest flaw is Sarah, the heroine. She is looking to breakout from her standard comfor

What I love about Maisey's writing is that she gives each character a learning experience or two, and sometimes three within her story lines. These are often experiences regarding their growth towards living in the present, facing their fears, and accepting love because their previous partners or role models of love and relationships and sometimes lack thereof left had them questioning the purpose and validity of love. I swore that I was done with the Silver Creek series but I had to read what happened to sweet virginal school teacher Sarah Larsen. I really liked Sarah in previous books and I was excited to see her break out of her shell and find love. Walker Callahan is the total opposite of who I expected Sarah to end up with but they w

This is my first book by Maisey Yates and I loved it. I went and one clicked all the rest of the books in this series!

Sarah Larson is ready to finally live. After living under the rueful hand of her grandmother for thirty years. Living with the fear she installed her grandmother installed in her, but now that she is gone, Sarah is starting to see how she was raised, she missed on a lot. Especially sex. So she gets the courage to head to the local bar and she is finally going to loose her virgini

It doesn't get more honest than looooooooooooooooved it! I requested this copy on NetGalley because I had read some of Ms Yates work before and I was pleased AND because I am sucker for small town stories. When I found out it was part of a series, I almost waited until I had a chance to read all the back stories to this series before reading it but I caved and read it first. I'm REALLY glad I did,

"3 out of 5 stars. Sarah has been living a shadow of her own life. Now that her domineering Grandmother has passed away, she plans to live life to the fullest. Her first step is to pick up a guy at the bar and have sex for the first time. However, after it's all said and done with one handsome stranger named Walker; she finds that he won't be much of a stranger after all. Will they be able to deal with the close proximity or give into temptation ... in more ways than one?

Where to start…3 stars for this short novella, which was good, but just lacked something for me. Walker is a rancher and a hottie, but his ex-wife did a number on his mind. I am not sure what her actual issue(s) were, but depression seemed to be part of it. As my friend Tobi says, “People suck.” And his ex truly did suck. But what does that have to do with sweet, loving, kind and virginal Sarah???

Sarah…where to start with her??? She was raised by granny who had MESSED up ideas, th

Sarah was quirky and her logic was always top notch, "I find it less awkward when you kiss me. Which means maybe we should head that direction rather than conversing." Our boy Walker can be harsh, "are you really brushing me off? As if I have....tons of vacant space in my life? I wanted a eff, babe, that's it, and I got it. There's no reason to talk about it again." I mean his words hurt me and I didn't even sleep with the man, "you can't stay the night though. If that's a problem...well, I don' ...more
