From out of nowhere she comes: graceful, beautiful, ethereal. Is she real or is she a dream? Here's a hint: dreams don't pack semi-automatics!

I probably won't read any more of this series unless l burn through my entire tbr list somehow.
It's kind of.... Tonally uncomfortable and I'm guessing that's because it's a ostensibly a meta-critical radical feminist work created by 8 straight white men in 1994 so you can imagine how it's a bit Wierd. Ghost decries female objectification and Sexual exploitation in comics whilst seeming at a glance to be a comix style sexual object like lady death or fearless dawn.
If you have 44 pages of male gaze art and just put "this is male gaze art, it is the result of our misogynistic society" on each of those pages you just end up with a strange sort of net zero. Maybe if it was an art piece in an exhibition it would be thought provoking but not as the concept for a dark horse comic.
Just an incredibly strange series.
I might read "Ghost: In the Smoke and Din." Because that one's actually written by a woman so is hopefully better.
