Being a doctor is everything to me, but I’m not going to let bureaucrats tell me how to practice medicine. It’s about saving lives no matter what, screw them and their paperwork.

When the one woman I could never forget, Ginger Crawford, shows up as my boss all bets are off. The heat between us is tough to ignore but I have to if I want a future at this hospital. It isn’t e

Nope! I so don't care. I don't like Beck. I don't feel he can come back from the bullshit he pulled 10 years ago. I don't like him period. I am bored with Virginia and I am bored with this plot. I tried to give some fucks but I have none to give. So Imma tap out and move on. I enjoyed the other 3 stories but this one just wasn't working for me.

3.5 - "I bought a door..." Stars!

I am in the main a huge fan of Robin Covingtons’ writing, as the fourth book in her The Boys are Back in Town series, Southern Nights and Secrets can certainly be read as a standalone, as I haven’t read any of its predecessors.

I think the first thing I need to clarify is that this book was in the realms of a five star read for me for the first 70% or so, but the author then chose to re-introduce a plot twist, that had already been used in the early stages of the

We’ve had a bit of a wait for Beckett Sutherland’s time to come in this series, but they do say all good things come to those who wait and, whilst not my favourite of the four books, Southern Nights and Secrets is an enjoyable sexy second-chance romance with a couple who have a heated chemistry and a story that has a nice dose of action and drama to it, but is also easy going at the same time.

Before I go on, I do want to say that I have heard mentions of this containing cheating banded about. In

Southern Nights & Secrets was a good addition to the The Boys are Back in Town series and a lovely way to bring the series to a close.
I enjoyed watching Beck and Ginger get their second chance at love and loved revisiting the previous couples.

The Boys are Back in Town series has been a very entertaining read, each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them all.

I'm a little bummed that my first book in the series is the last, but it doesn't interfere with my perception and enjoyment of this story. After writing my review, I went ahead and read some of the reviews already posted and I'm floored at the amount of people who judge Beck for past doings that if you reallylook and understand, are not questionable actions at all. If anything, it was him, protecting Ginger (ALL those years ago) and making sure the message was clear ... that's all I will say on ...more

Oh Reader Friends . . . the Boys Are Back in Town series is over but not without exploring Beck and getting him to the woman he needs.

Beck has always been the "Boy" most clear to me but he's also been the hardest to pin down. As you might know, I've based this series on my beloved hometown and my mountains and some of the country boys I grew up with. Beck was a mash-up of broken young men I loved deeply and who turned out to to be fierce, loyal and transformative men. So, I had to get him right
This was a hard book to read and harder to review, not least because I went in knowing exactly what to expect after realising what some readers had to say about the plot and its triggers. But reading it didn’t make it any easier when I could see were the author’s valiant attempts to make an unlikeable and unreliable - at least when it comes to matters of the heart - male protagonist worthy of a HEA with a woman who rightly shouldn’t want to have anything to do with him.

Unfortunately, it didn’t

This is a brilliant second chance romance, with many inspirational aspects to it. The hero is Beckett Sanderson, as a child he was brought up by his drug dealing, abusive father on the wrong side of town. He knows what it is like for children growing up there, he’s been there, experienced it and was lucky enough to escape when he moved to live with very caring foster parents. He’s done well for himself. He’s a trauma doctor back in his home town and has started an amazing charity to try to help ...more

I feel like I've been waiting forever for Beck's story and I am happy to say the wait was well worth it! This is an incredible story of someone who pulled himself out of a horrible situation and with the right people and love behind him made something of his life. That's not to say he hasn't made mistakes along the way and his biggest mistake of all just came back into his life! Virginia Crawford is the one woman that Beck could never forget. The were together in college but Beck broke things of ...more

Beckett is a great ER trauma Dr. He skates a fine line sometimes to ensure that his patients get the care that they need.
Virginia has a very hard job ahead of her, and Beck sure isn't making it any easier. But he's good at that, because he doesn't make it easy for Virginia to love him either.
This is not your usual doctor book. It is full of bad people who will do what it takes to get ahead in life, even if they have to destroy others to get it. And a doctor who is fed up, and ready to take a st

This was very good! The hero was hot. Tattooed and pierced. He is somewhat of a man whore but I can forgive him for that. The heroine keeps under tight control but there is a volcano underneath. They spark off each other something fierce.
The storyline was great but sometimes irritating when the h/h butt heads. This book is definitely worth reading though so I highly recommend it! This is by one of my favorite authors and I was so glad I got to read it early. This was given to me for an honest r

I loved Gin and Beck together. Two souls that were once together, lost due to family circumstance, and then faith brings them back together. Two personalities that apart and powerful but together are combustible. Applause to Robin for such as heart warming story about compassion, passion, heart and soul.
This is book 4 of the series. Beck and Ginger's story. Now known as Virginia, who lands her dream job in corporate hospital management and first day on the job finds herself facing the last person on earth she wants to see. Her past, the one man who 9 years ago not only dumped her but slept with her roommate the same day, just to make his point. He calls her Ginger, which she finds herself constantly correcting him, she is now Virginia. Beckett is an ER trauma MD who really does have his sh** to ...more

Robin Covington offers up a hot, sultry Southern second chance romance in Southern Nights and Secrets and I loved it. A ruggedly handsome ER doctor whose past comes back to bite him in his smackable a$$ (okay Robin doesn't call it that but in my imagination he has one) and the woman whose heart he broke 9 years ago and now holds his future in her hands. Secrets, lies, self doubt threaten to keep them apart, but the chemistry and feel

I loved this book.

Robin Covington never fails to delight with her quirky humor and hard hitting sub-themes, and this « second time around » romance is true to form, dealing with drugs, organized crime, dysfunctional families, workplace politics and the long term effects of the soul deep scars we hide from others – sometimes even those we love most.

Beck Sutherland is a brilliant doctor looking for a promotion to his dream job. The problem is that he’s also a maverick and an adrenaline junkie who

The last book in the Boys are Back in Town series has finally been released and I have to say since lately I have been enjoying the shows Code Black and Chicago Med, this was one of my favourite reads in the series. Beck Sutherland aka Dr. Sutherland is one of those risk-taking, rule-breaking doctors who care too much about the patients and less about the rules. Think Melissa George's role in Heartbeat, but a male version and you have Beck. Despite his bad reputation and misunderstood career mov ...more

I loved Beck's story! Beck is such a great hero - an ER doctor trying to be promoted to the Team Lead position while working a charity to give impoverished kids who are growing up like he did a way to a better life. Ginger re-enters his life after 10 years and a nasty breakup and turns out to be the key vote in his promotion.

Ginger grew on me, but in the beginning I didn't like her very much as I didn't like the way she was toying with Beck's career. It was great to catch up with our old friends

Well ok I'm on a bit of a book hangover. Let me first say I'm seriously impressed how Author Robin Covington for knowing how to get a reader invested with the first page.

''Beck was going to f@cking kill someone''

This is Beck (Beckett) and Ginger's (Virginia) story and let me tell you it started with a bang and just continued until you realize you literally inhaled the entire book in one sitting. The boy from the wrong side of the tracks who survived a nightmare growing up to become a doctor and

Beckett Sutherland might be an excellent doctor, but he still has problems with following the rules. He is up for a promotion, that of Team Leader of the trauma centre, and the VP of operations doesn’t like him very much. Beck gets in even more trouble when he hits back the father of a patient, who has beaten his son. Beck knows how it is, only too well. As if things couldn’t get any worse, the new Director of Operations is on the premises, and it’s the woman he dumped nine years before: Virgini ...more

There is always a reason behind a façade.

This is the fourth installment in The Boys Are Back in Town and my first read in this series. I have to say that I’m going to have to go back to read the previous three books. The characters were great and I loved every single one of them. I loved how the relationship between Beckett and Virginia was rekindled and how she was finally about to get her answer to the fifty million dollar question “Why did he sleep with her roommate?” But that is not the only

The boys are back and I always feel the author leaves the most interesting and best of the series for last.

Beckett Sutherland is a great doctor who will do anything for his patience and his community. But he is a bad boy who is sexy and his way of handling situations get him into all kinds of trouble. Now he is up for Team Leader of the trauma department and once again he manages to put himself in a awkward position right in front of the newest Director of Operations and the personal wh

This is the first I’ve read from this author, Robin Covington. I felt this was nicely written, well thought out, and a fast paced story with great romance. This story made me laugh and cry, like go hide in the bathroom so the family doesn’t see me cry.
I just loved Beckett, he’s an arrogant sexy doctor; he loves a challenge and loves the good adrenaline rush. Ginger doesn’t like to step outside her box, she likes everything planned out and to the book, well, her book that is. The romance between

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars. I've been patiently waiting for Beck's book for what seems like forever. He's had a major role in knocking some sense into each of his three friends as they fell for their happily ever afters. This book did not disappoint. Who would be the woman to bring down the almighty Beck? The woman he could never forget from his younger days, of course! Beck broke Ginger's heart years ago and then slept with her roommate. She had no idea he did it because he ...more

So I’ve been waiting what feeling like FOREVER for Beck’s HEA and Southern Nights and Secrets to FINALLY be release so I must admit that my expectation for this story was set very high! I must also disclose while this book may have some “cheating” and I’m a non-fan of novel with cheating in it but Robin girl you did a great job at not disappointing me. Even though Beck ...more

In this great conclusion to the Boys are Back In Town series, we get Beck's long awaited story! Robin Covington does not disappoint with her story of the "baddest" of the boys. Beck is his ever lovable self, but we delve deeper into what has made Beck into the man he is. His hard life with a criminal and abusive father gave Beck the push to do good. And he does! Virginia (Ginger) Crawford pops back into his life, unexpectedly. Ginger is the one who got away, or more accurately, the one Beck thre ...more

Loved this story of a bad boy and his lady!

Beckett (Beck) Sutherland is a boy from the wrong side of the tracks trying his best to make it his own way of course....

Virginia (Ginger) Crawford, a woman scorned and determined to never let it happen again.....Until it does happen again, by the same person who taught her this lesson before...Beck...

I loved the back story of these two and can totally get both side of the story. Beck is ruggedly handsome and a ladies man
