Sex changes everything.

And love can turn into an enemy…

Mitch Abrams, the bassist for the popular rock band Generation Rejects, has been in love with Gracie Cook for years. But Gracie, a complicated girl with a lot of baggage, was too blind to see how she felt about the man who had always stood by her.

Until one night of passion brought them closer than they had ever been be

What a bittersweet read! Fans of the series and Generation Rejects should prepare to say goodbye to four couples that have become pretty special over the past couple of years. In this final book of the series, the author couples up the last guy and girl standing, Gracie and Mitch, once best friends, now enemies.

Gracie and Mitch were inseparable as friends but when they cross the line and sweet Mitch puts all his feelings out there, Gracie runs. One year later and their relationship no

This was an emotional read. I loved the story so much that I simply wish there were more to read! I haven't read a book from this series before and now I'm intrigued to know how the other couples meet! Meredith Walters has her own unique way of telling her stories. Her characters are realistic and so far from what I have read, she always uses antiheroes. But each time the characters have their own un

Regrets...let's face it, we all have one whether we like it or not. In life, we make mistakes and it is up to us to learn and grow from them and to never repeat them. And when it comes to the matters of the heart, the regrets and the what ifs are something that can never be fully forgotten. Love can be a defining moment in one's life. It can be refreshing, hopeful, beautiful, poignant and yet heartbreaking. And

Not quite pleased with this one, it was a bittersweet ending to the Bad Rep series
I had several issues to deal with, "fucking triangle" being one of them.
BUt I chose the book to have a closure to the series, cause I need closure LOL and now I have the chance to curse as hell for all the things that bugged me.

Grace and Mitch were best friends forever, well actually Mitch was in love with Gracie 4ever and so was Gracie with Mitch but she didn't recognize it as such.

Gracie was a girl who slipped a

This is the fourth book in the Bad rep series by the author and it's the story of Gracie and Mitch.

Gracie and Mitch hooked up a year ago but Gracie freaked out a little that she had slept with her best friend. The pair have barely even spoke to other over the last year but now Mitch is coming home after finishing the tour with the band. Gracie and Mitch now have to face each other and will they really be able to face up to other and reveal there real feelings.

I did enjoy this one, it was grea

Gracie Cook is trying hard to stay on course. It's been over a year since she had a drink, She makes sure she handles her food issues, she is working part time free lancing as a journalist for a garden magazine and she is fending off her over bearing parents' attempts to control her very move. Her biggest regret is the loss of Mitch Abrams from her life. The bass guitarist from Generation Rejects is on tour, but they haven't really talked since she friend zoned him. He wanted

To forget

To pretend there’s no longer heartache

To have someone who’s safe and constant

To dispel the demons

To reinvent herself and become a better version

To no longer feel guilty or ashamed

To be redeemed

To fight for what is wanted

To let go of the pain and look forward instead of back

These are the desperate chances that Gracie Cook and Mitch Abrams cling to a year after one night of sex destroyed their friendship and turned them into strangers. But even after all that tim

Friends to lovers gone wrong!
Like the blurb says, 'sex changes everything'.
Sometimes it makes your relationship so much stronger and other times, it ends them all together.
Unfortunately for best friends Mitch and Gracie, it was the latter.

Ugh, the angst and heartbreak!!

I felt for Gracie.
She's trying to change her life, mend her ways and make a new path for herself, yet her family just couldn't believe in her.
Her mother's behavior towards her made me want to reach in and smack her!

Then there's

3.5 stars ~ A bittersweet ending to a series that is close to my heart. Enjoyable read but the H/h took way, way, waaaaaay too long to see eye to eye and that was disappointing. I wanted to strangle Mitch half the time and smack some wake up and fight sense into Vivian the other half! With that said though I LOVED how ALL of the characters in the series were prominent throughout the story and the epilogue filled my heart with all kinds of happy. Good ending to a great series! *** Full review to ...more

I can't even express how happy I am after reading Desperate Chances. I have loved this series from the very first pages of Bad Rep and have fallen for this cast of characters with each new book. This is the last one and as wonderful a read that it is, I can't help but be a bit melancholy as well.

We finally get Mitch and Gracie's story. Mitch, the laid-back bass guitarist for Generation Rejects, who has loved his former bestie since they first met. Gracie, who has put herself back together, shedd

Well, that was an enthralling read! My first A. Meredith Walters book, but most definitely not my last.

Mitch and Gracie have been BFFs for years. He has always been in love with her, and her with him, but she was too wasted to notice until it was too late.

Gracie is battling some monstrous demons - alcoholism, anorexia and an interfering mom who appears to be at the root of a lot of her issues. Gracie struggles to stand up to her and allows her mother to boss her around like she's a little kid. I

Desperate Chances is such a fantastic addition to the Bad Rep series!!! I really enjoyed the story of Gracie and Mitch and I enjoyed them as characters. Gracie had a lot of demons to overcome. The people who were support her the most, her parents, are constantly pushing her back down. She was at a constant struggle with them, herself and her feeling towards Mitch. Then Mitch is trying to move on from a broken heart, but is finding that easier said than done.

There was a lot of going back and fort

I've been looking forward to Mitch and Gracie's story, and it did not disappoint.

Gracie is a recovering alcoholic and she has conquered her battle with anorexia. She's on the mend after making a complete mess of her life. She's got a great job as a journalist and the Bakersville gang is an awesome support system of friends. Things are looking up. But the one person she hasn't made amends with is Mitch.

Mitch was left a broken man after Gracie rejected him when he confessed his love. A year later,

This is the first book I've read in this series. For me I would've preferred the story more with Mitch and Gracie and not all the band members and their girlfriends. But I'm thinking for those who've read he other books the second stories going on were appreciated.
The very definition of a 3-star. Wasn’t bad, just nothing really stood out either. In fact, the couples from the previous 3 in the series made more of an impact than Gracie and Mitch. Really liked Gracie and her transformation. Mitch was just kinda....there.

Why does this series have to end?? I need more Generation Rejects. I need more G and Mitch. I need them all.. Super sad to see this wonderful series end.

Desperate Chances is a story filled with angst, hurt, betrayal and regret. It the journey of two people trying to get past the past mistakes and build a HEA.

This book is the fourth and final book in A. Meredith Walters's Bad Rep Series. I can be read as a standalone but I think this is a series that you will get more out of if you read them in order. I wasn't aware of this book being the 4th book in a s

Desperate Chances is not my first book from A. Meredith Walters, but it is the first I have read from her Bad Rep Series. Each book is a standalone story about one couple, but they do have interconnected characters. I really liked this book, and after reading I cannot wait to go back and read the previous ones from this series! I loved all these characters, and I am looking forward to seeing how everything started here.
