Finally! A TASTEFULLY, well written love story that didn't turn into porn after the 2nd chapter! LOVED this book!

I'm a real romance fan, so when I saw this as a free kindle download, I read the first chapter and snapped it up. It's good read, funny, heartfelt, sweet n' sassy dialogue and the kind of small town setting I like reading about. It's got a few surprises, too, and I wound up rooting for Tess as she tried to untangle her feelings while dealing with the challenges. I'll be looking for more from this author.

I really enjoyed this one, the end didn't feel complete, but it was still a nice finish to the story.

'Crashing Into Tess' was a wonderful book. It captivated me instantly and I found that I couldn't put it down. It was well written with several grammatical errors here and there, but not to the point where it distracts you from the storyline.

Tess Bamberger is a strong-willed veterinarian with skills like no other. Knowing this, you can only be as surprised as her parents when she takes a job in some tiny hick-town. She is tired of her parents running her life so she figured moving from Pennsylva

As other reviewers have said, the 1st edition is rife with mechanical errors, though I don't recall noticing any formatting errors. I tend to forgive that more if I love the story, and this one gets that pass. Now that I've put that out of the way, let me tell you how much I enjoyed the story.

It's always a bonus for me when a love story has an interesting setting and background story. Boy meets girl, they're attracted to each other, something goes wrong, it gets fixed, they live HEA is fine, but

Poor Jake the boy doesn't know what he crashed into (literally), "he groaned softly, trying to resist. "Tess, I don't usually kiss women I barely know." He tries to be a gentleman around Tess but honestly she brings out the naughty version of him, "I'll be honest. If you want to keep this just to kissing, I shouldn't come. I pride myself on self-control, but you have a power effect one me." He's also a very passionate man, "Jake's heart lept. As he kissed Tess again, she responded hungrily, and ...more

I loved the characters in this book, especially Alice, Tess's sister Sam, and Jake's Aunt Olivia. It was way better than your typical romance. Tess had a lot to deal with, and I was glad when she came out on top. I liked the animal scenes. It did remind me of a chick-lit version of a James Herriot. I got it as a free Kindle download on my iphone and did not have any trouble reading it. I can't wait for this author's next book.

I had SUCH fun writing Crashing Into Tess, winner of a 2013 "Catherine" Award and a 2014 Bookseller's Best Finalist! Tess is a bit of an awkward heroine, a "good" girl with overbearing parents eager to experience adventure. She finds more than she bargained for in sleepy, rural Green Junction Colorado, including hot single dad rancher Jake McGreer. Thanks for reading and please leave a review!

This was a fun exciting read from the first page you are pulled in as two people meet in a most unusual way. You watch a small town take in and get to know the new vet. As with most things in a small town everyone knows everyone’s business and word spreads fast. The author gives you a wonderful love story that builds slowly with some misunderstandings, controlling parents, icy roads, and one person doing her best to prove she belongs only to find maybe she doesn’t. One man and a little girl hopi ...more

Crashing Into Tess is written by Lilly Christine. It is McGreers book # 1. It is the story of Jake and Tess.
Tess is single and has an Ivy league education. She leaves Philadelphia and makes the move to Green Junction for a veterinarian job. She is looking for a new adventure in the small Colorado town. On her first night getting into town, Jake's truck crashes into Tess' rental car. She isn't seriously hurt but pretty banged up. Jake takes charge and makes sure she gets settled into her new pla

Ms. Lilly Christine hit this one out of the park. The characters have depth and the storyline is teriffic. It is refreshing to read something that embraces the English language and shows us that we don't have to curse to get the point across. Crashing into Tess is a contemporary country romance about a city girl turning country. Tess has lived with her overprotective and overbearing parents for 26 years. She is tired of having her life arranged for her by her parents. Having graduated from veter ...more

'Crashing Into Tess' was the first Lilly Christine book I've read. Crazy on Daisy was a free Amazon download but I wanted to start with the first in the series. I was surprised that once I started Tess, couldn't put it down.

The story is about Tess Bamberger a veterinarian with skills not expected of a woman. She surprises her family leaves Pennsylvania and takes a job in a tiny town in Colorado. Her parents are a bit over protective of Tess.

Now you add a sexy rancher, Jake McGreer who puts Tess

this was a great love story. Tess is heading for a small town, Green Junction, Colorado to be their vet with another doctor, She is really excited about starting a new life away from her controlling, lawyer, parents. The weather gets bad and she slides through an intersection where she gets hit by Jake McGreer as he is driving home. Tess hits her head but she slightly remembers a handsome cowboy helping to get her out of the car. He also puts her dog in his truck. Tess gets taken to the hospital ...more

Talk about 2 stuburn people. Jake and Tess take the cake when it comes to love. Lilly Christine writes a Fabulous love story about two people determined to get what they want out of life. Tess is head strong and a go getter. Jake wants happiness again in his life again. Lilly Christine puts it all down on paper so we all can experience the love and affection Tess and Jake have for each other. This book is a must read. Read it in a day. You should too. I highly recommend it.

Loved loved loved this book! It is so cute and sweet and real-it is tough moving to a new town where you know no one and starting over again and that is exactly what Tess has done, moving from the big city to a small town. When she gets into a car accident, she finds the almost the whole town wants to help her. This is a story from a new-to-me author and I totally fell in love with the town and the characters. Wonderful story and can't wait to read the next one.

I found myself holding my breath for everything to work out...Lots of angst and ranches and a lovely child...the conversations seemed stilted, not very natural. A lot of characters to enjoy. A good book, all in all, but could have been better with a little more development. (Easy for me to say, since I've never published a book!!!) ;)

I enjoyed reading about Tess and her journey of self-discovery. She's respectable. Jake is a sexy, hard-working cowboy. You want them to just see that they belong together. And Vicki is so easy to despise. Lots of ups and downs carry you through.

I read this book last night and slept on it. Something bugged me about it and I didn't want to just do a quick "it was ok" review.

So here goes. While the concept was a cute story I found the execution lacking. There didn't seem to be any emotion. I think I laughed one time. I felt no connection with the characters. A lot of talking but no in depth feelings came through to me. The writing also seemed rushed which could be because of the lack of emotion.

I have a very vivid imagination.

This is a sweet romance story. Tess Bamberger takes a job as a vet in Colorado, miles from her home and overbearing parents in Pennsylvania. As she takes the highway exit into town, she literally crashes into Jake McGreer. They are instantly attracted to each other, but both are not looking for a romance. Fate throws them together, but they have to deal with Jake's vindictive ex-wife Vicki, his cute daughter Cassie and Ron, a cop that hates Jake.

This was a sweet easy read. What drew my attention

I noticed several typos throughout the book, but the last 15% or so was awful.

“I know you think I’ve behaved like a cad, so I’m coming clean. I love you, Tess. I have for a long time. I ache for you. Every morning I wake up, wishing you were in my arms. Back when Cassie was at her mom’s, I was relieved to be thinking about you and not her so much anymore, until I realized it meant that I was in love with you. I fell for you that first morning, when I saw you coming out of the garage with Dave. I couldn’t tell you the other day, but I wanted you to know.” He leaned in and kissed her cheek. “Maybe I have been protecting myself, but mostly, I wanted to protect you.” 1 likes
