Entertaining book with plenty of good action scenes. As entertaining as a novel-length Billy Bunter tale can be that doesn't ever leave the grounds of the school. The beginning is dreadfully slow - but it's all build-up for the titular 'barring out' which occupies most of the book. Similarly the ending is a bit rushed (another chapter or two to flesh it out would have done it good) but it's a fun story none-the-less. ...more
