Ok, This must be the first time that I truly did not want the heroine to fall in love with the suppose hero. I did not like Keith, and let me tell you why. Keith was a widower, and when his wife died, instead of taking care of his daughter, she was in a boarding home why he went on drinking, partying, and whoring, yet he claims he loves her so.. Now his wonderful Aunt has layed down the law, and because she loves him, decides to blackmail him, now I can tell you how, but I wont you need to read ...more

Find My Way Home by Michele Summers is her first book in her new Harmony Homecomings series. Michele Summers has written a wonderfully delightful romance that takes place in a small town, Harmony, North Carolina. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

We meet our heroine Bertie Anderson immediately, as she is busy rushing to finish decorating a house. Bertie is an interior designer, and within three weeks, she plans to leave Harmony to for a dream job at a big designing firm. Bertie’s dream is to make

Finding My Way home is a heartwarming story about letting go of past mistakes and trusting your heart. Keith is a retired tennis pro who moves to Harmony, by the request of his aunt, to raise his ten year old daughter. His daughter is the reason he got married in the first place. Although he loves his daughter and he changed his ways when he became a dad, the same can not be said for his deceased wife. Now he is looking for a plain "vanilla" woman to marry so his daughter can have a mother.

I really enjoyed this book. It is cute, funny, sweet, swoon worthy and takes place in the South so what is not to love. I admit I am not usually a fan of any sports type romances they just do not appeal to me so I went in not expecting to enjoy this one as much as I really did. I won a copy of the book in a Valentine giveaway through Jess, http://frommetoyouvideophoto.blogspot... Virtual Assistant for Michele Summers. Based on the blurb, I was really expecting a sizzling romance where the heroine and hero fight off their attraction because of their clash of personality and different goals in life.

Alas, that I didn’t get.

In fact, throughout the book I was battling with the kind of stereotypes that just rubbed me the wrong way. Especially because I really, really, didn’t like the characters, especially Keith. The story started nicely … well, what I mean by ‘started’ was basically chapter 1. Then it just went

People are not always as they seem as the main characters in author Michele Summers’s latest release, FIND MY WAY HOME, discover.

In this first installment in the author’s Harmony Homecomings series, interior designer Bertie Anderson loves her hometown of Harmony, NC, but can’t wait to move to Atlanta and start her dream job for a major design company. Find My Way Home, a treat for lovers of Southern, romantic comedies, see the first of Michele Summers three-book Harmony Homecomings series. Summers depicts a quirky North Carolina town only 20 miles from a bigger, more progressive city. The townspeople of Harmony are challenged with give-and-take on hilarious small town traits versus struggles of implementing modern, big city characteristics.

The two main characters who collide with this same give-and-take are hot, good looking, retired tennis

Find My Way Home is an enjoyable and cute debut novel. It's the first in a series about the town of Harmony. Bertie is an interior designer who is also everyone's go to person when they need something done in town. Everyone loves her, but she wants to leave town to start a new life. Keith has moved to his Aunt's town to try to make a new life with his daughter. When Aunt Francesca hires Bertie to renovate Keith's new home, the sparks fly. The problem? Bertie doesn't fit the quiet "motherly" ...more

Ooh I loved this story! Sweet, busy, volunteers for everything, can’t say no Bertie was dead set on leaving her little town to further her interior design career. Until she met Keith that is. Yummy former tennis star Keith. He sounds divine, other than being a total moron when it comes to what he really wants. Ok, maybe not total moron, but he really should have opened his eyes a teensy bit instead of going the safe route to begin with. Silly man. He did redeem himself when he mentioned his ...more

A cute romance set in a small town where you can't hide anything.

Bertie is full of life, and has way too many things to do. I liked her as she was fun, loved her job and was nice.

Keith, oh Keith, I mean he was nice and all but I so wanted to kick him in the balls. Not cos he was evil or anything but just stupid. See his aunt has told him to get marry in 3 months. So what does he do? He goes after the safe girl who he feels nothing for. The woman he would be tired of after a week. But it's the

I didn't want to finish Find My Way Home by Michele Summers today! What a fun read this was. Growing up in a small town in NC, I couldn't help but think "Is this someone I know??" I love how Michele never skipped a detail to the point where I could smell gardenias or picture the remodel taking place. The relationships are authentic and highly familiar. I think Francesca was my favorite, because she knew all along what she was doing. The relationship and constant tension between Bertie and Keith ...more

Very strong debut novel for this author.
A great cast of characters that are well written makes this book an enjoyable read.
While the plot is a tiny bit familiar (famous womanizing bad boy has to make good for his child, enter bumbling loveable town good girl) you won't notice while you are swept up in the doings of the town and it's inhabitants.
I was a little taken aback by such rapid time changes in the book. I understand why it was done but it seemed as though every other chapter it was

What a lovely gentle read, how very refreshing. This first book in Michele Summers' Harmony Homecoming series has hooked me for sure. I love a good small town romance populated by quirky characters and where the town is almost a character in itself. The hero and heroine were engaging and interesting, I was drawn to them emotionally and was invested in them reaching their happily ever after. The story is well plotted, the pacing is even and the dialogue quite witty. I enjoyed my trip to Harmony ...more

Find My Way Home by Michele Summers was an absolute laugh out loud hilarious read that tangled with the readers emotions, between Bertie and Keith's feelings to the rest of the Harmony townsfolk. Aunt Francesca's scenes were an absolute hoot to read and the way she steered Keith and his emotions almost made you feel sorry for Keith's character. So many of Bertie's antics will have you rolling with laughter throughout the book! A lot of sentiments in the story that had you sympathising for the ...more

I loved this book. The author kept it going and entertained me with very funny and unexpected events that took place.
Bertie was cute but a bit of a clutz which make me laugh at all that she got into. Keith made me crazy at times because I wanted him to fall in love with Bertie. But then... I loved him and he ended up being someone I'd want to fall for! LOL.
Anyways.. Michele Summers is a fabulous entertainer. She keeps the readers laughing and wanting more as you read the book. Very cute, funny

Bertie n Keith, what an interesting couple, so did Cal n Lisa.

I love small town story, it is sweet, simple. People living there r easy without pressure. I do want living there but I can't, because I m no American, n living in a city, crowd, noisy n pack all the time

A simple story with loves n hates, a man who looking for a new life after retried n a woman who always want way out from the small town, but when she found out she was truly in love living there, she won't be away anymore

So excited to read new author, Michele Summers first book! It was so good I couldn't put it down ! Her writing style paints a vivid picture of Harmony, N.C as well as the people who live there. You fall in love with the hunk and are rooting for the romance. She is a talented new author who I am sure will have a following in no time! I personally cannot wait for her next book to come out!

This was a cute, fun romance. Michele Summers is a good author and her style is easy to read and the story flows nicely. I enjoyed the characters and the small town of Harmony! I would read another book by this author. The only downside was the excessive use of the "F Word".....there was really no need to use it and it did take away from the fun summer read!

Just three weeks before interior designer Bertie Anderson is supposed to move from Harmony, North Carolina to a new job in Atlanta, Georgia, Keith Morgan appears looking for a designer to fix up the big Victorian he just bought. Getting the chance to work on this house has always been a dream of Bertie’s. She didn’t even know someone had bought the property. Staying in Harmony to do this renovation looks even sweeter when Francesca Balogh, Bertie’s surrogate aunt, offers Bertie a $150,000 bonus ...more

What do you get when you combine Betty Boop and Daffy Duck? Unexpectedly you get the fourth of July. Well with all the fire-works going off, I thought it was the fourth of July. Michele Summers wrote an amazing story that had me a little disappointed at the end. Read on to find out why.
Bertie Anderson is an interior decorator with her own business who has the determination to get out of her home town. Even if that means quitting her business and accepting a lowly position at a firm in the city

LOVED!! Small town romances are truly my favorite and this one is one of the best I've read in a while. Bertie is great! A small town girl with big dreams. Dreams that she thinks can only happen if she leaves Harmony, NC. Nothing really happens there anyway so what's to miss?? Then big time tennis pro Keith Morgan comes to town and buys the old Victorian Bertie has always had her eye on. It's a designers dream and getting her hands on it might just be enough to keep her in town. Well the house ...more

What a wonderful book. Another romance book involving sports in some way. There is also a kid in this book. I adore romances that feature a younger relative/person in the story. This book revolves around Bertie Anderson and Keith Morgan Keith has Maddie, his daughter from a previous relationship. Bertie wants to leave for the big city right away. Keith comes to live never his Aunt Francesca. Aunt Francesca is what brings this whole book together. The crafty Aunt makes a book even better.

This is terrific! Love the details of the designer's work that was so well described throughout. Author is very knowledgeable of subject matter and it shows in her witty and creative descriptions. A quick read with an intriguing romance...this book was one I couldn't put down til the end.

Can't wait to read more in this series. Way to go Michele! Keep writing! Love seeing new authors makes for an exciting summer of reading.

A cute, light read that's perfect for summer. Its well-written and a good story, and I especially loved that it's a local-to-me setting. I gave it three stars instead of four because there were a couple of things I couldn't get past: the overly-cutesy romance genre language, and the whole matchmaker setup. To be fair, these are simply tropes that I don't like but another reader may love them.

I borrowed this book from the library, and while there was a lot I liked, I struggled to really fall for Keith and Bertie as a couple because I felt like most of the time the book was about them staying away from each other. The rest of the time, it was very clear this was all about lust at first sight. I wish they had spent more time together fighting their attraction for one another before they got their HEA. I also found some of the other characters quite stereotypical and it became

DNF- Chapter 3

This book hit all my buttons:
1. Pushy old relative who knows best
2. Blackmail
3. Jerk hero who acts like a jerk because of jerk first wife
4. Idiot madcap heroine
5. Claustrophobic small town

I just couldn't go on reading this. I'm sure it's a great story for some people; not for me.
