Sheila works at the New York University hospital as a charge nurse in the pediatric ward, with all that she has seen over the years, Sheila has huge issues about planning for future events due to that fact, but if you also knew some of her past you’d understand as well about those planning issues

Jeremiah Kent is a Doctor at Boston General Hospital as a pediatrician Specialist …… Jeremiah is one those type of people that has Charts and notes and etc. with his life Pretty much all planned out for himself……

These two learned the hard way that no matter how much you plan in life things don’t always go the way you want ……So, when life throws wrench into both these people’s lives. And they find their selves at the same New York nightclub Together…….

Jeremiah and Sheila end up spending one spectacular weekend together. Both thinking that be the last time they see each other; due to the fact they didn’t share any Personal information about each Other…….. Let me just tell you how much I loved when these two had their first encounter after that Spectacular weekend.

I had so much fun reading this book and watch this drama unfold……… I must say, Jeremiah and Sheila might be polar opposites in many ways, but they were all the right ones to help them balance each other out.

So, believe it or not, this is the second book in this series and I did not even know it until the bitter end when I read the list of TJ Lee’s books, So I believe most definitely I will go back and read the first book in this series on a later date.

You would think I would learn but I always have an assumption of what a book will be with just the title and cover to go off of and I am usually wrong, this book is no different. Sheila is a pediatric charge nurse. She has a wonderful relationship with her patients and their families. She loves these kids hard and gives them her all. Because of the fickle future of her job, Sheila lives in the here and now when it comes to her love life. She needs to blow off some steam and heads to the club with her girlfriends. She meets a great looking guy and decides to enjoy his weekend in town with him.

Jeremiah Kent is a pediatrician in Boston. He is in New York for a seminar and to spend with his best friend, Ethan. Ethan is trying to get Jeremiah to move back to New York. Ethan convinces Jeremiah to go out while he is in town and he meets and spends time with a beautiful red head. These two decide it’s better to stick with superficial topics. No full names, no numbers exchanged.

Jeremiah comes back to Boston with a crazy ex weaseling her way back into his life. He needs to get away again and the hospital that Ethan works at is in need of a pediatrician. Jeremiah agrees to work there for three months. Imagine his surprise when one of the nurses turns out to be the beautiful redhead he spent the weekend with. Sheila is just as surprised and tries to stay away from Jeremiah since he only plans to be in town for a few months.

These two are drawn to each other like a moths to a flame. Two opposites that fit perfectly together. I really enjoyed this book and fell in love with the caring commitment they had for their patients. Readers will want to see these two have their happily ever after. Will they?

Too much smut for my liking. Sheila is more of an immature horny teenager than a grown adult woman. Her character is very off-putting when she’s not working. She doesn’t deserve Dr. Jeremiah’s affections. Overall, I enjoyed the storyline and how well opposites do attract.

I received an ARC in exchange for my review.

This is a super cute opposite attract love story. We are following Sheila and Jeremiah through their trials and tribulations as complete opposites. Sheila likes to live in the moment and Jeremiah plans everything down to the minute. All hell breaks lose when they start having to work together. Can they come to an understanding or will their opposing natures force them apart? This is a super cute book for people who like the tropes: opposite attract, he falls first, haunted past FMC, sworn of relationship, and emotional scars. This book is a romance with no spice so all the romance happens off the page.

Ah! Opposites attracting are so cute to read about it. It was a pretty spicy tale, and does pretty much fit the narrative of the characters. Sheila has commitment issues and Jeremiah has his whole life planned out but it unexpectedly leads to a romance of his life after his long term relationship blows up in his face. They meet, it gets spicy, angsty and ultimately a happy ending which I so was expecting. The best part of the book is Sheila’s back story, I would have never have guessed she had been through so much that lead her through so much pain and influenced her choices. TJ writes the best unexpected plot twists in my opinion. Super fun and easy read!

Sheila is a charge nurse who hates to plan ahead given the things she has seen at work. Jeremiah is a Dr. who plans every detail. They meet at a nightclub and spend the weekend together. They never thought they would see each other again or work together. How wrong they were! Can two polar opposites get their HEA?

Great opposites attract read with heartwarming characters, a well developed plot, and a little spice. I recommend to anyone who likes romance reads.

I was pleasantly surprised with this book. It was really good and I enjoyed it a lot. Sheila is the never plan anything, no relationship having Fmc. She meets her polar opposite, Jeremiah, and they have a hot weekend together, not sharing any personal information. They end up working together and their attraction to each other is unavoidable. I definitely recommend this book if you're wanting a sweet, somewhat spicy, story.

Scalpels & Staples is the second book in The Yin and Yang Collective. It absolutely can be read as a stand alone or before the first book in the series. I was not sure what I was getting into when I started this book, this being the first book I have read by T J Lee. I was not expecting to fall completely in love with the story and both the main characters!

This is a contemporary romance with doctors and nurses, one night stands, fast burn action, slow burn love, hidden angst and a good deal of spice. There are some possible triggers mixed into the story including cheating and loss of a child. I appreciated and enjoyed how the story took us on a sweet, spicy, and heart melting journey. The plot is well developed, as well as beautifully balanced with tears and laughter mixed throughout. I was completely immersed in this book from the very beginning, until I read the last sentence several hours later.

The main female character Sheila, had my complete attention from the minute she was introduced, I could not get enough of her strength, sass and self destructive coping mechanisms. I admired her for not being a damsel in distress, or the type of ditzy female that needed to be saved from her past. Jeremiah was lovable, but I honestly couldn't pinpoint why. He is your standard golden retriever type book boyfriend, thankfully he is superbly written in a way that keeps him from fading into the background. Combine the two main characters and you have the perfect Ying and Yang!

I highly recommend Scalpels and Staples to anyone who reads Contemporary Romance novels, enjoys not typical characters and is looking for a good hidden tear jerker book!

Scalpels and Staples is the second book in The Yin & Yang Collective by TJ Lee. This can be read as a standalone novel and is the story of Sheila and Jeremiah, opposites who have an instant connection and a steamy one night stand.

Sheila is a pediatric nurse who lives by the seat of her pants, taking nothing other than her job seriously. She goes out to let off some steam after a break-up with her current companion. Sparks fly when she meet Jeremiah, and he quickly makes her forget all about her break-up. They spent a hot and steamy weekend together and share as little personal information as possible, since they are both just looking to escape life for a little while and nothing else beyond that. Unforeseen circumstances bring them back into each other's lives and leaves them both reeling with how to navigate the situation. Will they find their version of a happily ever after?

This book was a quick and easy read. It lightly touches the surface of several of the emotional tribulations life has to offer, but in a superficial way. This is the perfect kind of book to read one afternoon on the beach, not too serious but still giving us something to think about.

This is my first read by this author. It can be read as a stand-alone but I’ll be going back and reading the first one as I thoroughly enjoyed this one. I can understand why this series is called Yin & Yang as the two main characters fitted together.

I found this to be a well written opposite attract story. The main characters Sheila and Jeremiah are very likeable and I was rooting for them.

Looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Ok so being in the medical field in some way makes me want to not read about books that are centered in the field. This one however made me drawn to it with ying/yang type of story. I loved seeing how two people who just wanted to let loose and step away from their jobs only to meet each other in those jobs. I loved how it ends and I promise no spoilers!
