I enjoyed this crime thriller written under yet another pen name of Dean Koontz's. Mike Tucker is a great character and reasonably well-developed - sad, vulnerable yet determined.

The plot is clever and intelligent, just like Tucker. This caper is nicely done and worth reading. A quick and satisfying read.

Tucker isn't his real name. Its a name he uses when on the job. His real name brings money but not excitement. Money he wants nothing to do with as it comes with his controlling father. Money he refuses to claim.
Tucker is an expert at robbing banks and the like. Another reason for the name change. No one gets to know his real name.
Tucker is pulled in for one more job but not all is what it seems. Can he get himself out and his accomplices before the police catch them all.

This is the second Coffey book I have read and its certainly different from the usual Koontz style but really good all the same.

This second book in the Tucker series written by Koontz under his Brian Coffey pseudonym. It is an easy to read light hearted story detailing the attempted robbery at bank in a shopping mall and the clever way in which they manage to avoid the police cordon that is thrown up around the mall when things go wrong early in the robbery and the alarm is raised.
This is one of Koontz’s early works and as such I don’t think it stands up against some of his later works (Phantoms, Strangers etc.) but none the less it is still a good read to while away a couple of train journeys.

A Black Bat Mystery. A "caper book", the second in a suspense series featuring Mike Tucker, art dealer, heir to a large fortune and professional thief. An early Koontz mystery using one of his pseudonyms.

So yes they are predictable, but Tucker series delivers what it promises; a likable "Al Monday"-like, professional thief that has his bases covered and thinks on fly. It's a quick read that will not change your life, but help you pass the time in an enjoyable way.

Another caper book from the vast career of one of my favorite writers. Our hero grows in dimensions but still manages to keep an air of the enigmatic about him. Great second book in a series.

Muchas novelas son las que se leen y se olvidan. Esta es una de ellas.
