A timeline is a useful thing but never innocent. The author was made uneasy by the "common characteristic" of all books on the assassination - that they "began with a conclusion, and then, like defense and prosecution attorneys, they presented the evidence that supported their position, and ignored, dismissed, downplayed, or endeavoured to discredit contrary evidence." A time-line is a valuable and respected investigative tool. I was very impressed with the list of established facts that David Pratt elicited from the record. I have always been inclined to accept the findings of the Warren Commission. But because I know David Pratt is a serious scholar who does not indulge in conspiracy theories, I found his conclusions surprisingly convincing. I am very interested in the reaction of other knowledgeable people.
