Luna Aeturnus continues Eternal's struggle for supremacy with the evil Count Lucien. Still trapped in the asylum she now has her true love, Edouard to protect her. But he is a mere human mortal and must confront the savage vampire Count Lucien. First, Edouard's curiosity as a psychiatrist forces him to reveal Eternal's past life, and the more he learns the more he loves her and accepts his honour-bound duty to protect and love her. Second, Edouard discovers vile horrors within the asylum and mus ...more

“Luna Aeturnus” by Simon Okill is the long awaited sequel to Luna Sanguis. I was lucky enough to get an early copy by the author for review.
Rose, or Eternal, is still trapped in the lunatic asylum and the romantic sparks between her and her Doctor Eduard are blossoming, but Rose is afraid of Count Lucien, who will be coming after her at the next full moon. The possibility of two lovers eternally ‘reincarnated’ and meeting over the centuries is beautiful and adds romance of great quality to a sto

This is a very adult read - definitely not of the "Twilight" school of vampires.

I came to this novel not having read "Luna Sanguis", and was therefore concerned about whether I would be able to pick up the plot. I need not have worried. Simon Okill fills in quickly with the backstory.

The novel opens with the heroine imprisoned in an insane asylum and being hunted by her long-term adversary who needs to consume her blood to enhance his own not-inconsiderable powers.

This is at times a dark and chilling read. There are killings at a Chateau and the police are hunting down the killers. A woman found near the scene is taken to a local Asylm. Doctor Edouard Clavet who works at The Douvrey Institute feels a growing need to save Eternal, or is it Rose? He wants to keep her safe from the Count, but can love win the day? If you read vampire books then there is plenty of blood, murder, demons, and more in this story. This is an adult read that moves at a pace and I ...more

A review of “Luna Aeturnus” by Simon Okill

Wow, I am a vampire fanatic and I was blown away by “Luna Aeturnus”!

It was fast paced with a horrific bad guy, Count Lucien, and a so loving and heroic good guy, Edouard. Trapped in the middle was a lady, Eternal, within the four-walled jail literally and figuratively in her mind.

A Gothic read to the very end! The asylum scenes were enough to make me itch with the lice and dirt from reading the pages of a well-descriptive novel such as “Luna Aeturnus”.

Luna Aeturnus
By Simon Okill

Luna Aeturnus a vampire story that takes you into the mind and memory of Eternal and Edouard. A trip that held me spell bound as I read and I could not put the book down. These lovers have come down through time to fight the final fight. She to become Eternal and he to be at her side and save her. The vivid pictures created by the words in this story ran through my mind and into my own dreams. Read and see how Eternal has come into existence and the man Edouard her c

Luna Aeturnus Review

I received a free copy of Luna Aeturnus in exchange for a fair review. What can I do but tell you that the book is a well written sequel that is hard to put down once the journey begins. It is unfortunate that when I received it I had already begun another book, had I known what I was missing I would have put the other on the shelf and red this one first. I highly recommend it for any who enjoy not just a vampire tale, but an epic erotic journey through reality, memories and

The second installment picks up with Eternal still in the asylum trapped by her amnesia. Seemingly, Edouard is the only one who can help her regain her memories and find out who she is. Problems arise when the Count needs Eternal’s blood and Edouard must travel into her past in order to find a way out of the trouble for them. There were several flashbacks that were terrifying to read about and really set the tone for the ensuing battle. I read the first novel and could follow what was going on, ...more

Wow, what a dark dream! Do not talk about this when children are present. I went into this thing thinking it was about vampires. What I got was sex-crazed demons, twisted asylum-happy “nurses” with a gigantic axe to grind—and, yes, romantic vampires. And there’s plenty of gore for hardcore horror fans.

Luna Aeturnus brings a whole new angle to fantasy, creating a history that apparently was a lot more carnal than most people would imagine. And speaking of passion, Eternal, Edouard and the Count a

I purchased this book to give an honest review to a new and upcoming author.
This book picks up wonderfully where the first story leaves off. A beautiful story of love and pain and wickedness.
Will Delicate Rose be found by him or shall she become Eternal and win her lover.
Will she come out of her shell shock in the place she is in. Or will Bonbon have his wicked way with her or will the witch nurse see her to her end.

In this second book of the Luna Trilogy, we find our heroine – known as Eternal to all creatures of the night and Delicate Rose to those mortals who love her – still trapped in the horrific confines of a psychiatric hospital in Paris. The hospital itself is a progressive place for its time, staffed with fine doctors who are, essentially, inventing psychiatry on the spot. It’s the nurses and orderlies you have to worry about. But don’t worry (spoiler alert!), they’ll get theirs.

Firstly I would like to thank Simon Okill, author of Luna Aeturnus, for giving me this wonderful book for reading and reviewing, I'm really glad!

WOW! It's just fascinating. I loved book 1 and this sequel just surpassed it all together. What an epic read, hats off!

In this sequel we continue to experience Rose's dreadful life in the asylum and also get a treat of the building romantic relation between her a

I went into this book with high expectations and high hopes because I know that I LOVED the first book Luna Sanguis. And I was not disappointed!!! I planned to read this book over a few weeks period of time. But, with planning a wedding, work, two boys, two dogs, and two blogs, I ended up waiting until the beginning of this week before even starting it. But, it didn't matter. I finished this book in one sitting! I was so tired the next day for work but it was worth it!!

I loved that this book pic

Woa-weee, OOOh, Aaahhh, weooooo, Eeeeek, ARGH, YAY!!!!!! That's LUNA-tic for this:

Luna Aeturnus much like Luna Sanguis was an intelligent, complicated read. Once you understood the lead character suffered from PSTD (just like the Author) her constant mood swings and change in atmosphere became expected, but never anticipated. This clever author keeps you on your toes, so be sure to read carefully!! The story line itself is so unique in the sense that past lives and present entwine in a love sto

My Review: I love almost all books about vampires and Luna Aeturnus is no exception. From the beginning I was curious about Eternal and why she is the asylum. I loved how this novel seemed to keep the reader guessing and we are taken on a journey. We learn things about Eternal and the asylum along with Edouard and I think this makes it better because the surprise and mystery is not revealed to the reader first and then we see the character's reaction, we have our own reaction. Luna Aeturnus was ...more

A read you can not help but read, and then read some more, once you get started. A read of blood, of dark desire. Though there was still heart to be found within the horrifying of the hurt.

Simon’s vivid and descriptive scenes leave you not only seeing, but feeling the every emotion felt. Especially for that of the lead, Eternal. Or is that Delicate Rose? Here is a woman confused, lost, but daring and intense. A woman of strength and fight, and yet a woman of so much innocence and sincerity.

Amazing, the author has done again! The second book in the Luna Series is compellingly evil, dark, bloody, erotic and extraordinary. Luna Aeturnus is painted with vivid scenes, characters and dialogue. The story line continues. Eternal is still trapped in the psych hospital when the story opens and as the story progresses, she is reunited with her true love, Edouard, after significant trials and tribulations. Although Eternal must struggle against the injustice and tragedy of her past and present, ...more

Mr. Okill has continued the story that began with Delicate Rose and has done so with flair. The slipping in and out of Rose's mangled mind between the past and present is much more segmented, which was great for me because I was able to really imagine how her mind had shattered at the atrocities Lucian (the big baddie) has put her through over the years.

The steamy bits are steamy when dealing with Eduoard and revolting when dealing with the sexually depraved orderly at the mental hospital- as th

I got a free copy from the author and posted a review here in exchange for the book. Thanks for the book!

When I finished the book, all I can say is, its awesome! Its about a girl named Eternal. She is a vampire. She managed to escape from the horrors of the count. Her true love Edouard, must save Eternal from the count before the Eternal Hour. The count is looking for Eternal because he needs her blood to achieve his destiny.

But did he succeed in achieving his destiny? Read to find out! Bonbon

Luna Aeturnus (Luna Series) by Simon Okill

I was given an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Luna Aeturnus is superb read and complements the other story very well indeed.

A play of good, evil, true love and destiny will stimulate the reader in this gripping read.

The horrors in the asylum are disturbing and gives an extremely Gothic feel to the story.

Fangtastic blood and sexual tension are encapsulating in Luna Aeturnus for fans of any paranormal fantasy.

Do vampires deserve happy endings? That is something I found myself asking while reading part two of this series. I think it ended quite well. I won't tell you anything else about the ending other than what is stated above :)

If you want to know what happens to Eternal/Rose and if she ever makes it out of the asylum then you need to read Luna Aeturnus. Will the count win and send her to oblivion?

Do vampires deserve happy endings?

PS--there is plenty of blood, guts, actions, and bad guys. No spar

Simon Okill did a fantastic job writing this book. I truly enjoyed reading it. I love the story line. It kept me wanting to read more. The characters were amazingly real. I liked how the story kept me intrigued with Eternal and her story. A great story that is well written. An awesome book to add to your tbr list. Recommended read!
