I was in the middle of beta reading for Sonya Loveday when she poked me and asked if I would be interested in beta reading Candace’s new book; Everlasting. I knew Candace from her other series; Born in Flames Trilogy, so I immediately jumped at the chance (and did a happy dance at the same time – it’s the internet, people. Who would notice?)

Anyways, I started reading and after only a few pages in, I knew that Everlasting was going to be great. I fell for the different characters, I was tossed in

So usually when I do reviews I like to give you a little recap of the book, but this time I've decided to give you the Top Ten reasons I loved this book and you will too!

1. Jaxen *drool* *Swoon* *sigh* Yea he deserves all that and way way more!

2. Faye. The main character in which this story is about. At first she is all sweet, innocent and down on herself, but by the time this book is over she is freaking kick butt and can stand with the best of them.

3. Magic... magic... and more freaking awesom

Oh, God. Have you ever reading the first few pages of a book and immediately thought you were going to like it? Have you ever read about 10% of any book, highly positive with great impressions and expectations so damn high like "This is gonna be a good one!" or "Wow, this is gonna be epic, for sure." Well, I had. And i
This has been on my list for a long time and I jumped at the chance of listening to it. While I mostly enjoyed the story, I found the narration to be really bad! Now, the narrator had plenty of different tones for different characters, but her cadence was weird! It felt like each sentence ended in a question, or an almost sing song kind of end. It was really off putting and at times annoying. I had to unplug a lot just to take a rest. She had a tone for one character that was almost nasal and wh ...more

I had been desperate to read this book when I first heard about it, so when the author asked me if I would like to beta read it, I almost fell out my chair! I was so excited and honoured to be asked because I love this author's Born in Flames series and this book and series looked and sounded absolutely amazing! This book was freaking amazing and it definitely exceeded my high expectations! I couldn't put it down until I had finished reading it! I was drawn right into the plot and I connected st ...more

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review

Everlasting is filled with intrigue, suspense, romance, and paranormal fun galore. This is one of those books that boasts a great supporting cast in addition to the main characters. It begins in a stereotypical manner, with a teen girl knowing she's a failure, dreading banishment, only to find out she's super special. The first part of the book drags due to this internal struggle, but fortunately for the reader, the pace picks

I received Everlasting in return for an honest review as part of the tour hosted by the author. Faye is nervous about the upcoming Culling for the covens only because when she was a child her mother had a vision that she would be a Defect neither a witch or hunter. In Faye’s world after you turn 18 it’s determined which role you will fill either the magic using witch or the hunter who does the fighting. When her Culling goes wrong and instead of being a Defect like she was expecting the truth co ...more

Candace Knoebel has done it again. Her Born in Flames Trilogy was absolutely amazing and I was so sad to see to come to an end, but I am thrilled that Knoebel has wielded those magical writing powers of hers and created another enthralling series that is sure to blow you away.

Magic and mayhem. Action and adventure. Love and desire. There is something for everyone. A plethora of emotions poured through me with each flip of the page and I was so caught up in this story that the world could have en

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review, and I honestly LOVED this book. Everlasting is book 1 in the Night Watchmen series and I cannot wait for the next book to come out. I rarely give a book a five star rating, but this is definitely a five star book.

From page one, this book moves at a fast pace, making it impossible to put down. The story is light on the romance but heavy on the action. I love the world that Candace Knoebel created for her characters and how it overlaps the real w

I really liked this book, the whole plot was very interesting. It follows the journey of Faye Middleton, who believes that her fate has been decided from birth. According to her mother's prophecy she is supposedly destined to become an outcast from her supernatural society, leaving behind everyone she loves. At a certain age, each individual of the Coven will partake in a ceremony that tells them whether they are a hunter or a witch, and who they have bonded with. Faye dreads this day, as she be ...more

Surprisingly good read!

I picked up this book on a whim, being a read-aholic I was wanting something new to read and wow was I surprised by how much I really liked this book. Others have criticized the main character Faye but I found her to be totally realistic, all things considered, she has a lot going on and so much to deal with that I found myself pulling for her and Jaxen and the whole crew. I'm really looking forward to the next installment. I can't wait to see how things pan out for Faye a

I really enjoyed Everlasting, it was slow at points but necessary for background to support Candace Knoebel's plot points. I was kind of taken back by the Gramm brother's being an illusion to the Grimm brother's, but after a while I was able to separate the characters she created from the notorious fable masters. Knoebel's introduction of the Gramm cures alongside their bad ass fighting technique thoroughly humanize the characters for me. Once all the characters were humanized, I was hooked. I r ...more

I liked the storyline and the entire concept of it all. It fits in with other Dystopian books on the market and it has hot male characters for you to drool over. I have continued on and am reading the second in the series. The only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because I found it a little slow about halfway through after it being fast paced at the start and it took me a little while to get through it. That said, I did enjoy it and it is worth a read.

Wow, I loved it. Candace Knoebel has done it again. I could not put it down once I started.

It moved along at a great pace from beginning to end. You cannot help but fall in love with the characters and want to see them overcome anything in their way and the story keeps you entertained.

Candace Knoebel is an extremely talented author and I cannot wait to read more from her in the future.

Not sure if the final rating will be 3.5 or 4 stars. Will have to think about it. However I did really enjoy it. Liked the twist on the rolls of hunter & witch. I am also looking forward to the next installment because there looks to be more trouble for these characters. And I could use a little more Jaxon in my life. Full review to follow.

DNF I got about 200 pages in and it just wasn't holding my attention. I kept putting it down. The story was moving to slow and the characters were not drawing me in. Also I found it highly irritating how she just pushes her parents out of her head and isn't focusing on them. it's bizarre. this book had a lot of promise and I enjoyed the first few chapters but then it just stalled.

I can't possibly tell you how amazing this book is. And, unfortunately you, I can't tell you more about it yet.
But I'll tell you this:
Faye is so strong, even through everything she's put through.
Jaxen is incredible and supportive, eventually.
It was an awesome beginning to this story.

This was a really different story. Its a little bit YA for me, with too much inner monologue and angst, but the character of Weldon is really interesting, and I am hoping for more of him as the saga continues. I am looking forward to seeing where this goes and how the characters develop.

Nice start for a series!

First off, I just want to say that I was attracted to this book because of the cover. It's kind of colorful and very interesting to look at. Kudos to that.

Now about the plot... It's pretty good. Witches aren't really new to me, but the way things went here, it's a breath of fresh air. The fact that they have to have a "hunter" or a partner makes it so unique. Their way of doing things is kind of awesome. It's really like being plunged into this secret community living am

In a world of magic hidden from the general public and only known to a few higher members of government throughout the world it is the Knight Watchmen who keep humans safe from evil paranormal beings. I DNF'd this book at 68%, my review will contain my thoughts and opinions about the part I read.

Everlasting sounded really awesome and I was so happy to receive an ARC. I like the author's writing style and the beginning was done really well. Gradually though the story got less interesting, I am not even sure when exactly it happened, but when i stopped at 69% I realized I just had lost interest in the characters and the story and I didn't see the poi
