Describes the Boston Massacre, the event when the American colonists believed that they had been treated and taxed unfairly for years by Great Britain, leading to a clashing with British troops. Written in graphic-novel format.
I think the book, The Boston Massacre is a good book because there was a lot of fighting over the Boston troops coming to Boston. I would consider reading it because it helps you learn about history and how to read a graphic novel. I think the most interesting part was when the Boston massacre broke out, because there was a lot of killing and fighting. It impacted my life because I probably wouldn't be alive. If you like graphic novels I would consider reading it. TB
If you like history, then you will enjoy this book very much. It tells what happened before, during, and after the Boston Massacre. This is a graphic novel.HHG
I like the Graphic Library collection. The format really makes history come to life and is accessible to a wide range of readers. History so often reads like a comic with superheroes that this is a good match. (After reading Longfellow's Ride of Paul Revere last week, the 5/6 grade decided all his version of Paul Revere needed was a cape and black mask to complete his superheroe status!) The Boston Massacre--what lead to it and what happened is the focus in this book. It includes a glossary, additional facts and bibliography.
If you have a reluctant reader who needs basic information about the Boston Massacre, then this is a nice choice for you. Done in a Graphic Novel style writing style, this book will show the reader the reasons it happened and the people involved. Not meant as a resource, but still valuable for beginner information, it's a nice addition to anyone's collection.
