Rate this book
The sisters of the Sacred Hearts Coven are at it again.
This time sister Maiden Esmeralda asks her sisters to help her cast a spell to help friend and café patron Lilly fill her heart with something that lasts more than one date.
Lilly has spent the better part of a year going on one blind date after another. Esmeralda think she knows the perfect guy for her. The only problem is that she doesn’t want to set them up on another blind date. If only she could get them to meet in the coffee shop they both frequent on a daily basis.
When things don’t quite go right with Esmeralda’s spell, she doesn’t know what to do. Will some enchanted salted caramel syrup be enough to heat up Lilly’s love life, or will it lose steam? Her heart’s desires might only be a cup of coffee away.

The sisters of the Sacred Heart Coven have brought us another romance. Esmeralda, owner of a cozy little coffee shop has chosen one of her frequent customers, Lilly, for a little help in the romance department. Getting Lilly past her disastrous trend of blind dates and into the arms of the right man for a steamy romance is a challenge that Esmeralda couldn't resist. Lilly make take her coffee light and sweet but if Esmeralda has her way Lilly will take her romance hot and heavy.

Can one cup of coffee change ones love life?
Lilly is about to find out when Esmeralda from the Sacred Hearts Coven meddles into her life. For too long, she has been standing on the sideline talking to Lilly, hearing all about her disastrous blind dates set up by well meaning friends.
Lilly is tired of blind dates, tired of being alone, and most of all, she can’t believe that there isn’t one decent guy left out there. Or so it feels.
All Lilly need is a nudge to the right guy, but will the right guy be the one Esmeralda think it is, or someone else entirely?

I absolutely love and adore Felicia’s Sacred Hearts Coven series. These witches are helping loved ones to make sure that they get their happily ever after one way or another. The sex are incredible delicious and toecurling, but more importantly, it’s more than the sex. You get to know the characters, you care about them and you fall for them, just a little and root for them to find their special one.

Lilly is very tired of all the blind dating, in reality she just wants to find someone who will accept her for who she is, someone who will love her with his whole heart and someone she can love back. Lilly is smart, beautiful and independent, and just have a streak of bad luck; from guys who won’t leave home, drink and smoke all day, to someone who might seem like the right guy, but just doesn’t ring her bell – at all.
Esmeralda sticks her neck out and tries to set Lilly up with another client in her coffee shop, but the Universe have other ideas and what happens next is hilarious, exciting and so well written, you sit back with your breath caught in your throat, hoping it will pan out.

If you liked Dark and Stormy, then Light and Sweet is definitely for you. I know I am looking forward to the next book in this series, I am curious to see who’s going to find their loved ones next ;-)

This is a sweet Romantic comedy with a hint of paranormal and some super-hot, steamy sex scenes. Esmeralda, from the Sacred Hearts Coven, takes matters into her own hands when she realizes that she can make the perfect love connection between two of her coffee shop customers. For too long, she has been standing on the sideline talking to Lilly, hearing all about horrible blind dates set up by well-meaning friends. Lilly is just a girl who wants to find a man that can bring her happiness. She’s sick to death of the constant flow of blind dates and jerks she is set up with. Leo comes in every morning at the same time and seems like the perfect guy for Lilly. He has a good job, a stable life and future, is handsome, and has a good sense of humor. What could possibly go wrong? Esmeralda sticks her neck out and tries to make a magical salted caramel latte that would, essentially, help the two realize they are perfect for each other. The Universe, on the other hand, has another idea. While Esmerelda manages to smuggle the enchanted syrup into both Lilly and Leo’s cups, there is another customer ordering the same drink named Leon. You get the picture. The mix up is made and Lilly and Leon end up falling head over heels, in the best way possible. You can't change fate! What happens next is hilarious, exciting, and so well written, you don’t want to put it down until the end! (Or in my case, until your husband comes home to a pile of dirty dishes and a messy house (LOL).) This is the first Felecia Starr book I have read, and I have to say I am now a faithful follower. The way she writes is what you want to read. As an avid reader, I cant begin to say how much I appreciate her talent.

What I Loved: I love the direction that Felicia Starr is heading with this series. To start off, I have to say that I am super happy that we were allowed more access to the lives of the Sacred Heart Coven with the second book. This book is another quick, light and easy-going read. I think every girl can relate to Lilly and the disasters of blind dates. I don’t think I know anyone who ever had a successful blind date. I never did so the beginning of this story captured me right away with that awkward feeling when you see your date and wish it was already over before it even started. This story shows that no matter how much we plan for something, it does not always follow the direct path we have laid out.

I love the idea behind these short stories and I look forward to seeing what love spell the next witch will cast.

Not so Much: Without giving too much away, I wish there was more focus on Lilly and Leon. I felt too much time was given to an unnecessary character when all we really wanted was the sexy rock god. The last couple of pages that focused on Lilly and Leon really captivated me and I closed the book wanting more.

This story is based on the witches from the Sacred Hearts Coven; Seraphina, Esmeralda, Jasinda and a few more. In this book we find Esmeralda helping out her customers Lily and Leo find true love; Esmeralda owns a coffee shop.

Esmeralda thinks Leo is perfect for Lily. Lily has been on several blind dates and Esmeralda knows that Lily wants to find true love. As Esmeralda has prepared a love spell, she spelled the Salted Carmel syrup just for Lily and Leo, now she just has to make sure they both get their drinks. Well, she definitely gets the drinks out but…. oops!! There is a Leo and a Leon, and well..... let’s just say that things happen for a reason! You can't change fate! You must let things happen as they are suppose to happen.

I love this story. I love Lily and Leon. I love reading the new story lines in each book with each of the sister witches doing something different and new. I look forward to many more stories by Felicia Starr.

Review:

I enjoyed reading this second book of the Sacred Hearts Coven. It looks like our magical match makers don’t always get the results that they were looking for.

The plot of this book in the series has Esmeralda trying to fix up two of the customers that frequent her cafe. A speciality coffee with a secret ingredient is all that is needed to bring together what Esmeralda thinks is the perfect match. Unfortunately things don’t work out as planned when there is a mix up at the counter and the wrong guy gets the magical brew. Or did he? There is all sorts of chemistry going on in this book. Not only the coffee is steamy. Again this is a short story, but the author gets everything accomplished in these fun 212 pages. The ending is not what Esmeralda expected, it may just be better. There isn’t too much time for character development, but we do get to know the important facts of these characters.

Esmeralda owns her own Coffee/Baked Goods Shop. She has made friends with Lilly over the years. Lilly works from home and uses the shop as her office a few days a week. Lilly is on the verge to give up on men and dating, to many blind dates gone wrong. So Esmeralda has her Sisters help her cast a spell for her to find true love. Esmeralda put two "L's" on the candle for Lilly and Leo, a business man who comes in her shop every day at the same time. One of them gets the wrong cup!
Leo, Lilly and Leon, a Rock Band Lead, are all getting the same coffee, but two have the potion in it. There was hot passionate sex in the shower. A spell gone wrong? OR Love gone right?
This short story is just as hot as the first book. Felicia Star sure has a way to turn you on while you are reading!

This was a really sweet and sexy read! The story started out with a witch coven doing a spell. It quickly turned into a sweet story about the main character, Lilly, on the verge of giving up on finding a boyfriend and the events that follow that change her thinking.

Lilly is a really fun character that has had a string of bad dates. She was very relatable, funny, and down to earth. After hearing her stories, I would have started to give up on snagging a boyfriend too! Lilly has a great attitude about this situation and does not let it get her down.

When she does finally meet someone, it happens with a little twist in the story. This is a fun book and I found myself literally laughing out loud a couple of times.

The story wrapped up nicely and even tied the coven activity back in the end (it was sprinkled throughout as well). This is part of a series but can definitely be read as a standalone. I highly recommend this book to lighten your spirits!

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

Blind dates were getting old. Lilly had been on too many and most were not good. After being saved by her friend Ali on one particular bad blind date, the two end up at a bar called Magic Bar. According to Ali there was this hot band playing there tonight and she did not want to miss it. While waiting by the bar some guy bumps into Lilly and spills her drink all over her white shirt. What the heck! He apologizes and offers to buy her a new shirt. Leon was hot! Although Lilly goes on another blind date, she has Leon on her mind. Could Leon be the end to her blind date disasters?

This is the first book I’ve read in the Sacred Hearts series and I really enjoyed it. The witches have good intentions and it made me feel good. I really liked Lilly. I could relate a lot to her and was rooting for her all the way. Also the magic was a nice touch. I give this 5 stars

Lilly’s friends all want her to be happy but they keep setting her up on blind dates that are duds which she has little to no attraction to. Enter Esmeralda who decides to help fate along by casting a spell to help Lilly find her love. Things don’t turn out exactly as Esmeralda planned though. I really enjoyed this story. At first I was a bit annoyed with Lilly and the way she internally judged some of the guys she went out with but in truth we all do that and it’s better to keep in internal rather than hurt someone’s feelings at times. This was a sweet romantic novel with a little bit of comedy, a little bit of magic, and a little bit of smexy. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by this author!

Love in an unlikely package

Another great read from Feliciia Starr.
A spell is cast but doesn't turn out quite the way the witches expected.

Loving this series, can't wait to read more.
