Time passes . . . sometimes too quickly, other times not fast enough, but that’s not what’s important. The essential thing is what we learn about ourselves during that passage of time and how we apply it. Will we continue to follow the destructive paths we find ourselves on? Will we give in to circumstances that seem completely unchangeable? Or will we desperately fight to ...more

Favorite Lines “Don’t allow yourself to be confused by names and labels—instead learn to accept things as they are. You are a special being, gifted with a higher power, which has been passed down since the beginning of time. Use your gift wisely and allow only good energy to flow through you.”

“You know I love you with every fiber of my being.”
“Yes, I do.” Needing to touch her, I ran my cupped hand down the side of her cheek. “And I can’t stop being awed by it.”

Journal Entry:
I've never wanted something so badly. Everything about us seems to fit right together. It sounds crazy, even to me, the cynical person whos never believed in all the gushy love stuff. I remember how my parents fought before we ran; love has never been very successful for the people I've known. Yet now, I find myself in the middle of it and I want it so badly. I need her-want to keep her with me always-want to always feel the way she makes me feel. Happy. I can't recall ever being

Have you ever wondered what the other main character in a book you were reading was thinking/doing when they weren't in the chapter you were reading? Well Lacey Weatherford takes care of that with Fire and Ice. Vance's side to Of Witches and Warlocks.

in Fire and ice we follow Vance on the run from his demon father. We get to see his POV with all things Portia and what happens to him when he is captured. LOVE it! Brilliant idea. If you liked Of Witches and Warlocks this is a must read!

Eyes rolling back into my head, I gritted my teeth against the pain and this time I succumbed to my weakness quickly, welcoming the blessed relief of darkness.

I had not read anything paranormal written by Lacey Weatherford before. I knew she could write awesome contemporary but was really keen to see how she would weave the amazing romance that she can write in with the paranormal elements. When I signed up for this tour I didn't realise that it was a spin off of sorts of the Of Witches and

This book showcases why Vance Magnum is one of my favorite “Book Boyfriends.”

“You’ve got to know I want you more than anything in this world, Portia. Emotionally, physically, magically, mentally, i want it all — to possess every inch of your being.”

When I heard that Lacey Weatherford was going to release a book in Vance’s POV I was ecstatic. The whole time I was reading Of Witches of Warlock series, I was constantly wondering what Vance’s thought process was. Don’t get me wrong, Portia’s POV w

I've seen many of Lacey Weatherford's book around book sites and stores, and they all seem pretty interesting. This is the first one I've read from her though, and am now even more interested in her various series.

This particular book follows Vance Mangum, a teen on the run with his aunt, avoiding his estranged and dangerous father. The book starts off with a bang of excitement and energy, and doesn't loose much of it throughout the book. Vance's character is explained, as well as his past, and

Knowing since childhood that he was a warlock, Vance has been on the run from his psychopathic father for years. Never being able to settle into a new life or make friends, always being prepared to leave at a moments notice when his father gets too close. That’s until he meets Portia. She is a young witch but doesn’t know it, her parents have decided to keep her magical abilities a secret from her until she comes into her powers at sixteen but from the moment he saw her, Vance felt the co

I Received An ARC Of This Book In Exchange For My Honest Review!

This is Vance's side of the book Of Witches and Warlocks The Trouble With Spells. I never really thought of these books from his side of things but after reading this book I absolutely loved seeing things through his eyes. Now I just hope that Lacey does it for the rest of the series.

This book shows more of the inner mind workings of Vance. We get a better view of how he feels about Portia. Along with seeing what he went through in

I was absolutely ecstatic to get to read The Trouble With Spells from Vance's POV. He found a way into my heart in the Of Witches and Warlocks series, but after reading this book, he owns it completely. The fact that I see the gorgeous Aaron McGuire in my head every time I picture Vance is just another plus.

What I really loved about this book was getting a first hand account of Vance's feelings and his reactions to everything that went on in The Trouble With Spells. When reading the story from P

I must say I love Lacey Weatherford's writing! When she tells a story she drags you in to where you can't put the book down.

Now to my review for Fire and Ice!

Vance is on the run from his father and never can stay in one place. All he wants is a normal life just like anyone else. He finally finds a Coven that is willing to help him with hiding him from his father but for how long will it last. Vance also meets a girl name Portia that happens to be a witch but doesn't know it yet. Once she finds

FIRE & ICE by Lacey Weatherford

If you like stories about witches, warlocks & demons then this is definitely a story for you. Vance has been on the run from his father for most of his life. He wasn't able to have a girlfriend or do any of the normal teenage things. Vance meets Portia and sparks start to fly then fate & destiny take over. In this book we follow Vance's life from his point of view but with Portia thrown in BUT you'll have to read it to understand that ;-)

Fire & Ice by Lacey Weatherford is the opposite book to her "Trouble with spells" in her "of witches & warlocks" books. This time the book is written from Vance's point of view not Portia's, and is done in the way of a "Book of Shadows".

Very well written book and it has the basic same storyline as the "Trouble with spells" but told by Vance, and goes deeper into his life and feelings. It overlaps into the "Trouble with spells" on the big events that happened and even included the same di

My Thoughts

Lacey Weatherford truly lives up to her name Queen of Hearts. My heart beat fast at every word she wrote wondering what would happen to her main characters, would there love survive what was put in front of them. In her novel Fire and Ice the relationship of Vance and Portia is one that fairy tales are made of. In a magical community they are destined for each other. But evil lurks around the corner and Vance must do what he can to stop it and still have the normal life he so desperat

I absolutely loved reading this story and especially having met Vance in the Of Witches and Warlocks Series. Being able to read Fire & Ice and getting to find out about Vance and when Portia comes in and how fate twists their lives together through Vance's POV was awesome. I became consumed with this story. I did not want it to end but like all good thing they do end and this was just another case of that coming true. I will treasure this book as I do the Of Witches and Warlock Series. I wil ...more

Lacey did it again! She made the story of Vance and Portia come to life again through his eyes. Vance is such a great character and to see his side of things brought a new appreciation for his character's storyline.

By far one of my favorite witch series. If you haven't read the Of Witches and Warlocks series by Lacey Weatherford, you are missing out! I would recommend this to anyone who likes YA paranormal romance.

I LOVED it and I'm sure you will as well!

It's funny because I already knew what was going to happen, but I found myself getting excited with the story. So far I have read all of the Witches and Warlocks, all of the Crush, Fire and Ice and I have started the Chase Walker series. Lacey has a way with words and I love seeing how her writing has developed as well. Add this to the list of must reads if Vance is at the top of your literary boyfriend list!

I fell in love with these characters in the Of Witches and Warlocks series and I think I love them even more after reading Fire & Ice, the first in the Book of Shadows series. Retelling the story from Vance's point of view is amazing. Lacey Weatherford outdid herself. I didn't know that I could love it even more, but I really did. She brought Vance to life in so many new and exciting ways. I can not wait to read the rest of the Book of Shadows series.

I have read the entire Of Witches and Warlocks series, and all was told from Portia's point of view, Now it is Vance's turn. This is not a rewrite of the First Of Witches and Warlock but some overlap is always a good thing.

Awesome to see through his eyes. Lacey you are a great writer and never leave your readers disappointed

Lacey Weatherford was born in Ft. Meade Maryland while her father was serving in the military. She has been a life long resident of Arizona, spending most of her time growing up in the small rural town of Clay Springs.

It was while she was attending the small country school in Clay Springs, that she read her first "big" book at the age of eight. It was a Nancy Drew novel and Lacey was instantly hoo
